  1. oops 2023 I mean
  2. Personally I think ANB has more of an upside that Chandler even though I am a rap for the lad. Last year ANB had a downer. Expect to see him come back this year as he will realise the competition is getting tougher for a place in the 22.
  3. Loved the guy as well. Similar mold to John Tilbrook, fantastic club man and great VFL 2nds player but could not bring that level of play into the Demons VFL side. All the best Sam with Essendon, don't take any supplements there and I am sure you will be a great Club man for them. Will always follow your career.
  4. That is because Luke had already made up his mind to leave, I think that was around mid season. Or was he coached to leave ?

Just looking back at old posts here to find how things have changed. Would have loved to have had the chance to tell the poster that we will win the flag in 2021.. and more to follow. Just saying.....

    Did you say "joint" ?
  7. nah, only jokin mate....
  8. I have 17 children, four wives and 2 Cats who all have MFC memberships... So is that one membership as counted by the MFC ?

The difference is Gary Pert is a go getter, he proved that at Collingwood and add to the mix we have a go ahead President now (thank goodness) As for Daisy The Great ..... I totally disagree. Players and support staff come to a Club that is successful and want to be Number one.
  10. That's a harsh comment with respect. Look they have Todd Viney there @ Nth as well as Clarko and their due dilegence is evident this year looking forward...and frankly I wish them well. The cycle of AFL footy Teams changes over time and as players grow old and not replaced with the young they tend to drop off and right now The Saints and Nth are my choices to fill those ageing gaps
  11. Each to his own but Burgoyne has tried out before with Port Adelaide and not made the grade for various reasons. My choice is Kye Turner.
  12. Sorry to say that B Brown needs to make way right from round one for JVR. The other change I would make is Chandler for Spargo. But let's see how the Season pans out with injuries before we get too far down this track.
  13. N o one seems to have answered your question but if so it must be deep in the thread. Players are invited to train after registering with the AFL. There is no commitment on our part however it should be noted that as of right now we only have one Rookie place left and that means it would seem between Kye and young Burgoyne. One could assume then that both players are aware of this and it will be a desperate effort by each to fill that Rookie space. Good for Footy but great for the MFC
  14. Thanks Demonland for an excellent Podcast. One of the best I have ever listened to.
  15. For some reason I cannot get this to play ????
  16. I am not so negative re Hunter. He had issues with the Coach at WO and feel a fresh start and a will to play top senior footy hopefully will revitalise him.
  17. Rumor has it that the other teams never turned up for the games against him. But also note rest of his teammates also kicked 10 each.
  18. With respect I beg to differ in that this years Draft is not as strong as next years so why would you not hold what you have for 2023 Yr. ? when add to this the fact that we have already drafted well in 2022 for a replacement for Jackson plus Hunter and Schache not to mention the improvement in JVR.and others. I just feel our desperation to upgrade in 2022 may backfire on us in 2023 strong Draft.
  19. We should go after Ratts now and have him as understudy to Choco Williams and even coach Casey.

Yep, I have one of these... Just like the other 23 only they gave me mine 12 mos ago.
  21. I reckon Brett should apply for the St Kilda Senior Coach position...
  22. I am a mind reader and it's Grant Thomas for me @ The sinner Saints. Tea readings start at $2,000 an hr if interested...
  23. Yeah, he wants to coach a better Club in Casey...
  24. I was a fan of Francis and MFC were into him as a target when he was recruited.
