  1. Think you will be correct re Lever and Bedford but Oliver will def be in for Bedford as will Petty. BBB looked Ok at training.
  2. Viney is coming good at the right end of the Season. Loved his last two Games.
  3. Have a look at every play Fritta had. He is Class.
  4. If you are an Aussie at heart then this is one beautiful photo.
  5. For mine, Melks played a decent game for once but I just question his ability at his age against a Bulldogs line up. BUT having said that I feel Melks will stay but surely Bedford must go. !!! Chandler would/should/could be a better option. Oh - and Spargo needs to lift his game in my book.
  6. Yeah, we all agree at the Demons........ "Mr Franklin intended to strike Mr Cotchin," Gleeson said. "He was looking directly at him. His response was spontaneous sand intentional." It concluded a heated evening in which Franklin said Cotchin "exaggerated" the contact and the AFL counsel Andrew Woods described Franklin's action as "cowardly". Woods said Franklin was "angry" when Cotchin bumped him off the ball. Trent Cotchin reacts after a confrontation with Lance Franklin in Sydney's win over Richmond in round 11, 2022. Picture: Phil Hillyard "It's an element of luck that Cotchin does not sustain a more serious injury," he said. "It's precisely what a professional AFL player should know what not to do. "It's brazen, it's cowardly and the opposing player isn't expecting that to happen to him. "It's AFL, not Fight Club or a combat sport."
  7. Why are we talking about losing any players at all. And what do you know that HQ or others maybe privy to ? I suggest we all let nature take it's course and hope and pray that sanity prevails and the Team stays united as one. Next thing I probably will read is all MFC players are moving to other Clubs and that Casey players are our number one Team... (Well if that happens we will still win the Premiership anyways ) . Come on guys let's support and encourage our playing group in the belief that they will be united as one.
  8. No way JJ will get dropped. Too versatile a player.
  9. Look I agree 100% with all your comments BUT my main concern is we are losing one of the sides best taggers, so I ask is Bedford the best :IN What about Dunstan ? Just asking !!!
  10. We need to realise that as a Club players come and go especially after a run of being on top..... and the further you are at the top the harder it becomes to recruit "excellent" players. History shows us that we will lose "valuable" players to other Clubs but the art of recruiting is making value out of those we lose.
  11. With respect you have to compare apples with apples. Jackson is a second year player and you are comparing him to The Weid ? and to Brayshaw who has years more experience that him. Give him a fair go please...!!!!
  12. Chandler "guilty" before being tried... Must be a new way of doing business.
  13. Yeah Hird as Coach with Bomber Thompson as his assistant. Dean Thompson to be performance Coach and last but not least - Stephen Dank as their Sports scientist .
  14. Look I agree that guy Cripps def a Sub at the D's but what happens to Bedford who is our usual Sub ? Well guess it's a toss up as to whether we play Cripps or Bedford..
  15. Chris Scott will be the next GWS Coach. End of story.
  16. Yes, I do not believe he would walk into a Melbourne outfit. You cannot compare him to BBB or even No 2 B
  17. That's a "given" Plus some. I really think we are commenting on something that has not happened as yet. Brayshaw in my mind stays. The family are here and he is happy at the D's. Jackson still living in the "I can't believe it World" Seriously, looking forward for us to get more than the quality 5 year window with the players we have on the list now we need to continue adding quality players each year to our list. It then becomes a difficult journey to recruit exceptional players. Look at who we recruited when we were either last or even third last... Oliver, Tracca, Brayshaw, May, Viney, ........... the list goes on.....
  18. His brother could always come play for the Demons and that way Gus would be able to stay at the D's and have his brother beside him. Problem solved.
  19. Interesting article by The Age writer but two things stick out. Old Harry is overseas and I think he sees it that he is protected by the absence of the Press at this juncture and secondly the man is running away from his comments and all that comes down to in my mind a very unstable person who cannot move forward and wants revenge by way of Corporate heads.. like the CFC.
  20. In this instance all facts were asked to be tabled as late as 2021 and on numerous occasions in prior years.. so that mediation could commence both at AFL with Legal Counsel and also at C'wood - which they botched anyway . Buckley even acknowledges now that exact point to Harry yesterday. It is a legal practice in all cases that all facts are brought to the table before a case moves forward in litigation. I feel that Harry may have some mental or personal issues in the handling of this matter, he seems also to be lacking the backup support for his well being in this matter which is sad. Bringing up supposed "facts" after the event is not accepted in a Court of Law where that could be construed to be "double jeopardy" in a Trial. The "Do better report" only inflamed the fire in his belly and I agree he had the right to defend himself again from any comments made "from the other side - being Collingwood" but he needs to come to peace with a process, rightly or wrongly and move forward knowing that in his heart he has settled a grievance. There can be no winners only heartache. Mediation would seem to be now the only solution and sensible path ahead. If this was in fact a failed marriage, that is how it would proceed and a Judge would order it so.
