  1. we're loading up in 2020 for a move up
  2. I prefer AFL Fantasy objective stats related scoring for Fantasy rather than some obscure algorithm. Fantasy scores are not about rating players.
  3. "Dodoro balls up" sounds right.
  4. You compared Smith and Hunt AF points. Not Melksham. I've genuinely tried to help you.
  5. I've played AFL Fantasy reasonably seriously for 10 years. The way stats are converted to AF points significantly limits the score of defensive defenders compared with other on field roles. Thus the AA FF scored 70.9 average whereas the AA FB scored 44.9 average. The only possible comparison using AF points is of players playing the same role and then it's a blunt instrument only really any good for winning Fantasy. Have you ever played it? Here's how AF points are calculated: https://fantasy.afl.com.au/classic/help/official-rules
  6. Biden has a stutter which he has worked hard to overcome and that affects his speech. There is no evidence he "has the early stages of dementia and will struggle to remain coherent for much longer". Are you ageist?
  7. Tom Hawkins - All Australian FF 2020 AF = 70.9 per game AF points scoring is stacked against defensive defenders.
  8. Hunt in the fwd line takes one mark, kicks one goal = 10 AF points Smith in defence makes 10 spoils, holds his opponent to 0 possesions = 0 AF points
  9. What time on Thursday does the Trade period end? 2pm?
  10. If you're so certain then you can join @Elegt, who "guarantees" OMac won't be on an AFL list next year, and buy a membership at the AFL club he's playing at in 2021.
  11. My best guess is that we wanted Isaac Smith for free and to move up the order to take a draft prospect (Finlay Macrae?). We can't take Brown and then Phillips or Polec with picks, and also move up the order and we think the draft option is preferred to the latter. Hence trade for pick 43 is a step on the path.
  12. AF scores are not a sound basis for comparison particularly when they are playing different roles.
  13. I agree he needs to develop his footy smarts. He has only played 18 games and has May and Lever on field to guide him and Jetts probably off field. I think it's a long shot but would pay off big if he can make it because of his physical versatility.
  14. Gimme 7 backs not including Salem. Agreed Rivers is one of them, but I think you'll find we need Salem there too.
  15. FWIW I've already posted my preference in this thread: May, Petty, Lever Salem, Hibberd, Rivers, Smith But Smith is unproven I agree
  16. We need 7 for the rotation PSD and Lockhart was out of favour last year.
  17. Who are you playing at halfback in place of Salem? We're short of capable small-medium defenders as it is.
  18. There's some talk of the Macrae brother.
  19. With longer quarters and a longer season in 2021 we'll need more players in the midfield rotation than we had in 2020. If we push Petracca and possibly Harmes, Oliver and Viney forward for periods then we'll need midfield cover coming off the bench. The 22 should have at least 7 mids including wings, maybe 8 if some are is pushed forward periodically. Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw, Harmes, Langdon, TBA wing. There's easily room for them all and more. I'd be OK with retrying Tomlinson on the wing. I have Petty ahead of him in the backline and I think on the MCG in longer games his height and stamina can be used to advantage. He's an average footballer but he can play a number of roles at an acceptable level so he provides useful depth for in-match injuries.
  20. I've seen enough to know he'll make it. He's a footballer, he's 198 and he's aggressive.
  21. Yes agree strongly. We appear at least one small-medium defender lacking. May, Petty, Lever I prefer Petty to other tall alternatives because he can go with a genuine KPF giving May and Lever more flexibility. Salem, Hibberd, Rivers We need one more small-medium. I can see why the FD like Smith because his athleticism means he can play tall or small but the doubt is on his footy smarts. Lockhart seems out of favour. Nev looks cooked. Hore feels like depth. If forced I'm trying Smith but without confidence. If he can make it though he will solve a lot of problems.

Merrett and Treloar are both very good players but Merrett is 2.5 years younger so is a more attractive option.
  23. Interesting - looks like we're gearing up for a major pick upgrade this year. That move prevents us from trading our 2021 1st rounder.
  24. Which one are you?
