Yes you're right we don't need to cover the entire 2400 for just 14 but they will want to get there with whatever deal they do that includes that pick because that's their main leverage and they'll need to make a verydecent points profit, otherwise just use it and get a 2nd or some 3rds elsewhere. They'll want a deal that goes close to making up that 600 point deficit.

In that deal they'd want enough points to cover JUH 2400pts PLUS Hannan to make it worth their while. AFAIK 25 + 30 is nowhere near enough.

You seem to be totally ignoring that the Dogs need points for JUH. There is no way they're trading 41 unless they have sufficient points from somewhere.

Agree. As I posted earlier. it's preferable if he goes for salary cap balance by role, but it's not a disaster if he stays. Worst case he's decent depth forward and back. It's also worth remembering that TMac and Pederson carried the ruck in 2017 when Max got injured so he's depth in that role too.

I like TMac he seems like a nice intelligent guy and I wouldn't be rapt to see him at another club, but I felt similar about Jared Rivers. We may not NEED to trade him to pay for Ben Brown but we should to keep the cap balanced by role. We've got a fair bit tied up in May and Lever and we don't want $700k playing at Casey. Omac and Preuss will be gone too but we've got Brown coming in, hopefully Petty fit and we should look for a depth ruck. In addition we could recontract Mitch Brown as tall depth. I hope we can find a taker for most of his salary.

There is no way this happens. Treloar is a salary cap dump for the Pies and TMac is a salary cap dump for MFC. Collingwood will only take TMac if we're paying part of his salary. They might do a straight swap if we take all Treloar's salary.
