Gimme 7 backs not including Salem. Agreed Rivers is one of them, but I think you'll find we need Salem there too.- Rumour only file ...
FWIW I've already posted my preference in this thread: May, Petty, Lever Salem, Hibberd, Rivers, Smith But Smith is unproven I agree- Rumour only file ...
We need 7 for the rotation PSD and Lockhart was out of favour last year.- Rumour only file ...
Who are you playing at halfback in place of Salem? We're short of capable small-medium defenders as it is.- Welcome to Demonland - Pick 43 & Future Rd 4 Pick
There's some talk of the Macrae brother.- Rumour only file ...
With longer quarters and a longer season in 2021 we'll need more players in the midfield rotation than we had in 2020. If we push Petracca and possibly Harmes, Oliver and Viney forward for periods then we'll need midfield cover coming off the bench. The 22 should have at least 7 mids including wings, maybe 8 if some are is pushed forward periodically. Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw, Harmes, Langdon, TBA wing. There's easily room for them all and more. I'd be OK with retrying Tomlinson on the wing. I have Petty ahead of him in the backline and I think on the MCG in longer games his height and stamina can be used to advantage. He's an average footballer but he can play a number of roles at an acceptable level so he provides useful depth for in-match injuries.- Rumour only file ...
I've seen enough to know he'll make it. He's a footballer, he's 198 and he's aggressive.- Rumour only file ...
Yes agree strongly. We appear at least one small-medium defender lacking. May, Petty, Lever I prefer Petty to other tall alternatives because he can go with a genuine KPF giving May and Lever more flexibility. Salem, Hibberd, Rivers We need one more small-medium. I can see why the FD like Smith because his athleticism means he can play tall or small but the doubt is on his footy smarts. Lockhart seems out of favour. Nev looks cooked. Hore feels like depth. If forced I'm trying Smith but without confidence. If he can make it though he will solve a lot of problems.- Adam Treloar
Merrett and Treloar are both very good players but Merrett is 2.5 years younger so is a more attractive option.- Welcome to Demonland - Pick 43 & Future Rd 4 Pick
Interesting - looks like we're gearing up for a major pick upgrade this year. That move prevents us from trading our 2021 1st rounder.- Trump v. Biden
Which one are you?- Rumour only file ...
Not for me. Another medium forward. He is quick but he's not defensive. I'd rather play Fritsch.- Trump v. Biden
This is aging well ...- Trump v. Biden
Trump wants the counting to stop in the States he's ahead in but keep going in the one he's behind in.- 2020 Player Reviews: #44 Joel Smith
I can see why the FD want him to succeed, he has the athleticism to play small or tall and aside from May is the only player I can think of that has the physical attributes to go with players like Dusty, Danger or Fyfe when they're forward. Footy smarts no at this stage but physically yes - it's hard to find someone who can play this important role.- Farewell Mitch Hannan
Yes you're right we don't need to cover the entire 2400 for just 14 but they will want to get there with whatever deal they do that includes that pick because that's their main leverage and they'll need to make a verydecent points profit, otherwise just use it and get a 2nd or some 3rds elsewhere. They'll want a deal that goes close to making up that 600 point deficit.- Farewell Mitch Hannan
In that deal they'd want enough points to cover JUH 2400pts PLUS Hannan to make it worth their while. AFAIK 25 + 30 is nowhere near enough.- Farewell Mitch Hannan
You seem to be totally ignoring that the Dogs need points for JUH. There is no way they're trading 41 unless they have sufficient points from somewhere.- TMac on the Trade Table?
Plenty of Harry Hindsights are saying it was a mistake - I'm very keen to see even a single post from the time saying that.- TMac on the Trade Table?
Agree. As I posted earlier. it's preferable if he goes for salary cap balance by role, but it's not a disaster if he stays. Worst case he's decent depth forward and back. It's also worth remembering that TMac and Pederson carried the ruck in 2017 when Max got injured so he's depth in that role too.- Farewell Mitch Hannan
Yeah I rate him higher than a number of the fringe players but not high enough to offer him 3 years.- Farewell Mitch Hannan
Dogs probably need to sort out their JUH picks. They've got 40 and 53. We might get 53 but more likely a future 3rd or 4th I think.- Non-MFC trades and player movements 2020
Brad Hill reported on $900k?- TMac on the Trade Table?
It would be nice to see a link to a post saying the TMac extension was a mistake at the time. - Rumour only file ...
