  1. Paul Roos isn’t good tactically.
  2. Fuckin’ embarrasing.
  3. To me, winning in the red and blue is an integral part of the victory. We’re still Melbourne in another jumper, but the victory’s just not as sweet.
  4. That’s great to hear because I think it’s probably Paul Roos’ weakest attribute. If Roos can impart his man-management skills on a coach with great match day tactics, we could really have a keeper finally.
  5. How long until the Media™ criticise him for it if the Suns keep losing?
  6. The legends match treads a fine line between good fun and farce. I think it’s jumped over into the latter a bit recently.
  7. Whoa! Obviously Paul Roos can do no wrong. That Saints thing wasn’t his fault. No! And Oxley ran around on his own because Paul wanted it that way. Yes! I don’t know what he does in the coaches box. But as the coach, I would assume every major tactical change is vetted by him. If you all are happy with everything that’s gone on in the box this year, fine. I’m not. But nothing sticks to Paul Roos. Can any of you guys help me out here and name a single thing you think he’s done wrong? If you can’t then I might suggest one of two things: either he’s wasted in footy and should be negotiating world peace; or you’re so enamoured with him that you don’t see some of his flaws. Paul Roos is a brilliant man manager. That’s his strength. We’re talking about a man who let Brad Miller of all people destroy his team’s forward structure on multiple occasions because he wouldn’t change his positioning. Granted, that was a long time ago with another team; but it demonstrates something about his strength and weaknesses, IMO. Anyway, flame on.
  8. The quicker we can get Paul Roos out of the gameday tactical command role, the better. Let’s face it, that is not his strength.
  9. That is the most horrific and saddening lack of logic I've ever had the misfortune to read. It is NEVER someone's responsibility to prove they're NOT racist. To think otherwise is just insane. What you've just done here is co-opted millenia of prejudice in an effort to win an argument by requiring a standard of proof so high that even you've admitted it can't be reached. The null hypothesis is obviously that you want to be the "right" one battling on the side of good against the "bad guys." I don't boo Goodes, by the way. I'd boo you though.
  10. Every time I read or listen to people discussing alcohol in such a connoisseur-like way, I imagine they're doing it about heroin or meth or some other non-socially acceptable drug. It's good for a laugh. Anyway, carry on.
  11. The last time we had a win, we celebrated too hard and came crashing down afterwards. Maybe a bye is a good thing for us because it will give us some time to decompress and get back to normal.
  12. On a scale from "Tony Shaw" to "Bray Shaw", just how Shaw are you? And Watts it even matter?
  13. Might be hard to get a father-son out of that equation though.
  14. Nah. I've already watched Melbourne beat Geelong 10 times this week. It's starting to get a little old.
  15. I'm out of here. I have to go to dinner. There better be some good news when I get back. That's all I can say. Ball's in your court, Dees.
  16. Brayshaw just can tell what's gonna happen and puts himself where he needs to be. That is a star. No project player here. A real footballer with at footy brain.
  17. Anyone who can't see what Chris Dawes gives us is flat-out blind. EDIT: And Brayshaw is just awesome.
  18. I think Roosy is talking about you when he mentions mental scarring. Really defeatist.
  19. Umps throw in the obligatory "not 15" for a 20 metre kick. We get one of those every week. Ridiculous.
  20. Was actually just about to comment that Dawes' effort to provide pressure on the chaser was the kind of on-field leadership we so sorely need. Guess we just find reasons to love/hate who we love/hate.
  21. Gotta be honest, that's not how I pictured you looking.
  22. Providing a massive contest though. You'd realise that if you actually watched the game.
  23. That's right. Blame a bloke who's not even on the field.
  24. Not sure, but it's probably somewhere in the vicinity of 70%.
  25. Credit to Howe today. He hasn't taken any marks, but he's destroying every contest. Learning a little from Hogan perhaps...
