You know what's funny? This post irritates me more than anything in this thread...
-
You are forgetting how good he was before the Freo game and Sandilands cleaning him up. Him and Jamar were great. Brittle body, maybe. But if the OP is gone he can play for 5 more years.
-
What the hell are you talking about? No offence, H007. But this thread is one of reasons why the human race is going to be here a fraction of the time that dinosaurs were here. And yes I am including my own rambling thoughts. Someone expunge it.

Channeling WYL with your conspiratorial tone? And you're likening JCB to some sort of forum martyr. You have got to be kidding me. Actually, I don't mind the reference to someone's views with an adverb but what I don't like are those people who criticise posters for using a describing adverb suddenly turning around and doing what they criticise. You can't play the victim and then commit the same crime and then claim to be the victim again. Yes, RR can be caustic, and HT and Jaded dismissive, but I'm not their bloody forum mother. That's Nasher...

Yeah, Brown off to the Suns.

About 4 days after it starts...

Aaron Davey will keep Demon kids interested. Liam Jurrah will devastate fathers who support other clubs...
-
Thankyou for that clarification. Basically, if you stick to adverbs - you can say whatever the hell you want. Oh, forums...

What?! Don't embarrass us. The guy is a very good FF. Bailey would love to do that deal.

I voted Moloney as I want my captain to be in the guts, and be a natural leader of men. I understand the desire to see Green captain and I would see him as a good captain. I just think that when the going gets tough, I know who will show the way under Jamar. And I have an issue with a HFF being captain.

Slander! Yes. Bad day. But if you are positing that this stat can be read into as a guide for kicking ability then you cannot only apply to a few, or one. I think you are a guilty of picking and choosing stats. Pains me to say it, Nasher. It does. Now clean out your desk.

Backwards step. Giving up a bloke who has finished in the top 4 in the Bluey twice in the last 4 years for a poor man's Robbo. I wonder if you would have said the same thing 12 months ago. I'm pretty confident you won't say the same thing 12 months from now...

I don't think they will be up for it, really. I just don't think they will be happy to go back a bit at the pointy end of draft to see a few higher 'lottery' picks later on. And I hope you weren't reading into my post too much. Wasn't having a go at you. Just didn't think you needed to be called stupid for your idea.

Not many of us can...

I hate that statistic. Kicking efficiency includes the multitude of short switches across the back that Clint does quite a bit of. He is a better kick than he has been, and had a career year in 2010. But don't tell me he is one of the better kicks in the team because of statistics; my lying eyes tell me he isn't.

MFC Supporter Syndrome - We can always find the negatives in the positives. The glass isn't half-full, it's deceptively half-full, and looks like its leaking. And the water looks a bit dirty. Yeah, we are playing well, but maybe it's only fleeting... I have to give myself an out so that when, not if, we fail I can point to something amid the madness to at least prove I was right. We don't want to make the finals too early... I think Mahoney is the weak link... I think we got rid of Junior too soon... Will Moloney still be playing in 2 years?... We should trade Jamar... If this person isn't captain next year we'll... Good example! You're getting it.
-
Oooohhh, that one is going to bite you. He's a kid. I don't care if you can't command a spot in the 22 when you are 20. This is an rpfc guarantee - Morton will play 200 games for this club and be a great wingman/ute. He is Flag Core.

If I was Garland and we chased Tarrant I would looking at my options. You cannot play Tarrant, Rivers, Frawley, and Garland in the one team. So whose development do we push back? Do we push out Rivers? Frawley seemed to learn how to become a very good rebounder without Chris Tarrant (in fact he learnt how to play well before Tarrant did himself), Garland requires special tuition? That's an expensive tutor. And neither can be in the same classroom at the same time. Sean Wellman can be the experienced backman imparting knowledge. Better than Tarrant too.
-
Go after White and then Hale.
-
I know! Our backline has been a wet dream for two seasons now. Why bring in a 30 year old version of Garland when we have a 22 year old version of Garland? BTW, absolutley KOTD in that draft - Frawley, Garland, and Petterd. Hannabal thinks I get unreadable at this time of year. It's the MFCSS that's hard to read.

I hope Nathan develops into what you think he will. I don't see it like that, and I wonder if the FD see it the same. I want to be ruthless as a club, and I know that it isn't popular but if I was a Geelong fan seeing Moloney go for Ottens - I would've said "Have a great career, Brent." Davey Scully Morton - Centreline Jamar, Moloney, Trengove - Rucks McKenzie, Sylvia, Gysberts, Batram, Grimes, Bail, and Jones - Extra rotations through middle. I would welcome Nathan as apart of that support group but he will find himself on the fringe of our 22 I'm sorry to say. Good depth. But you know what they say about good depth...

If you not seeing conspiracies, E - you're not living...
-
That wouldn't be JCB belittling a poster, would it? Didn't think so.
-
Maybe, but my first option would be to out and try to land someone younger...and better.
-
I think he has. And on the the comparison to Macca: Macca was a tagger and a bloody good one, and when he was allowed to - found the pill at will. He has a much better footy brain than Jones. But in the end, it comes down to decision making and execution. Jones is getting better at the latter but hasn't progressed (and not many do) in the former.
