80k? We aren't quite at the bandwagon stage I am afraid. They are looking out through the logs, but they are still in the woodwork at this stage...
-
No-one is blameless, but at some point the players have got to take responsibility for the actions of their own two feet.
-
I have no evidence, because there isn't any. All I can confirm is that nothing has been signed. Mate of mine works for Hutchy and the mail at Croc Media is that GWS is confident, only because of the fact that they can offer so much more than us. They shouldn't be so cynical about the intentions of a 19 year old that just wants to play footy and be successful. The kid recently moved into a place with his sister in the SE suburbs of Melbourne and I just can't see him leaving his family here in Melbourne. And Mike Sheahan is an old Melbourne supporter with the same hang-ups many Melbourne supporters have surrounding "what makes our club so special to override all that money" and I also think 'Gubby' Allan is abusing his friendship with him by being deliberately coy. Constant speculation and doubt helps GWS.

Apologist!
-
It was a hug, it was a random, and it was only a goal. The ballerina gets lauded and we get derision. Idiots.
-
The media build this game up, talk about it in such a way that the very fabric of the club is at stake and then criticise us for reacting accordingly when we win? These guys are idiots. Again, give me Nasher, Rogue, 45, HT, AoB, akum, H, nutbean, DC, and many others over these fork-and-spoon journalists when critiquing the Dees...
-
I think so too. Which is why I would give them run of the place (Leadership Group - frack off leading teams!!). But that is just me...
-
The kid is a professional, and a born 'do as I do' leader. I cannot stress this enough - Tom will be a great. And he will be a Melbourne great.
-
Watched it and taped it up here in Canberra. Went last week to that awful thing - came down on the wrong weekend... But I'll be down for QB of course. Can I just say - never saw Hird do/say anything when the cameras panned to him... Does he have Thompson, Wellman, and co. in a different box actually coaching the team or something?
-
To me, they get sucked up from about 40 out to about 70 out and that is not what we want. I just don't think that Dunn, Bate, and Newton make a very smart forward line. And without that footy IQ of knowing where to go and when, you can make your coaches look pretty stupid. I agree the forward line has been dysfunctional at times, but I blame seasoned professionals who have gone backwards more than the coaching staff whose only weapon to do anything about it is their mouths. I still think that Jimmy should have a long look in the direction of our assistant coaching ranks over the summer...
-
Just on Gawn - Jimmy gave him his jumper and said he got the same jumper and the next week he was dropped. He said that because Gawn is going to ahve a similar fate - Jamar will come back and Max might not see AFL for a couple of years. And before you say, 'rp, don't be silly' - have a think about it. Next year Jamar and Martin will start and Spencer will be pushing them. Max is a baby. He's a foetus.
-
He means 'second ruck' as in 'back-up ruck.'
-
I am all for having a reserves side but can I just say that Brad Gotch employs the structures that the Demons employ. There is more synchronisation than many believe.
-
Yeah, Dunn. I have issues with news outlets calling him our 'tough man' as he isn't.
-
Another thread you read the title of and nothing more? I don't know whether he will be coach, I don't think the decision should be made until the end of the season, but I will say this: The bullsh!t that some on here throw around about him losing the players and about Viney being made caretaker (spreading the rumour, not the desire) is reprehensible. So you can say what you like about Bailey's coaching but I am not an 'apologist' for pointing the BS when it befouls Demonland.
-
Just don't. Ok?
-
He also complained that "the midfielders look up and see nothing in front of them." So I guess we can stop saying "Bailey's gameplan is so negative he doesn't have a forward line." It's more like "we have idiots in our forward line, who don't know how to play like a forward."
-
I know we all want to be the smartest guy in the room but sometimes you need to do a 'Roost It' and admit a wrongdoing. Martin has been good all season and great the last month. So someone was

Dare I say he shows his physicality and toughness without jumper punching... Who knew you could be a tough 192cm forward, take contested marks, tackle, and be considered tough without no jumper punching... Shown more, than the bloke I am referring to, has all year. The future is getting tight for a few.

If you don't do it on time, it's time to not do it. Get an accountant.
-
He has played 3 games. You don't rate him, fine. But you have to admit that he has improved since last year. And if you admit to that fact being true, then there is hope for him, and for you. Note: That last line rhymed and I din't mean it, but I kind of like it.

I prefer the Rollercoaster to the Dungeon Crawl we have been in the last few years... Unfortunately, some on this site thought they could go straight to the Skywalk without first going on the Rollercoaster but that is not how this Carnival rolls...
-
Bennell's workrate isn't great and Morton's physicality has been non-existent. Both worked on their deficiencies and proved they are improving in those areas. Form I don't care about - they both have the skill and talent to be where they are - they need to improve in key areas and last night they did. Really pleasing.
-
I thought it was more "great stuff, you're only going to get better from here." But I having a boring mind...
