  1. Let's get Cameron from the Hawks. Steal some more IP.
  2. I should put my plan for the LG in my sig... I have said this often: I would throw everyone out of the LG, strip Green of the capataincy and get everyone younger than 24 in a room and tell them they can pick a max 7 man group from those in the room. They can then pick a captain from the entire squad. Both votes are blind. The coach/FD then gets that information and takes from it as much as they need. That is what I would do. Leading Teams could facilitate that. They are just consultants anyway. They only find leaders, not create them. If they didn't find them it's because there are no leaders...
  3. I don't think this is going to happen... Terry Wallace is probably comfortable in the media at the minute.
  4. I think Wonna is worth perservering with.
  5. Understand what you are saying but I am ok with what Leading Teams do if it is restricted to a blind vote from the players for the 7 players they look to for leadership. The coach/FD then decides on a 5 man LG and a captain. Or captains. The players should have some input. That's how I would do it.
  6. Yes, considering there are those that think Warnock is worth a second round draft pick... I also wonder the ages of those on the board. I doubt there would be many older than 24 on there.
  7. Unless we trade in a captain...
  8. He can share it. The closest bloke we have to a captain is Moloney but he isn't a captain. So instead of putting one NQR bloke in there to flail about, why not spread it over three. I don't like the idea of shared captaincy, but I don't think we have the luxury of giving it to one person.
  9. I would like to think the club showed him these stats in the interview... Not good reading... Impressive message does Mark Neeld have though. Hope it gets through.
  10. Here it is. To mark the new coach and the challenges in front of him. Analyse away. Please note that the comments on the Flag Core. Like the concept but having two of the ten fall out of said 'core' rendered it irrelevant data. Contested possies a major concern.
  11. I thought you have the exact opposite opinion on this. He's our head coach. If he wants to coach us for a decade - he better get started right away and show some commitment.
  12. Haha. Huh? Never underestimate the power of a new coach to bring renewed hope and optimism. I know you don't think the average MFC supporter would be so inspired by an inexperienced coach with little name recognition, but I think that is the reason rather than a effort of the club to push a narrative.
  13. Yes, Matty McKvoss. Great multitasker!
  14. And coach sharing may have be enforced so a ageing Leigh Matthews may have to coach two teams... He will be so (yawn) sweepy...
  15. The worriers and the handwringers are out in force... I don't know him and would like to hear the man speak once before judging away his personality, character, and professional future... If we couldn't get an experienced coach - at least we stole some IP from Collingwood. And that is a good start.
  16. Which 'dross' was that? Thought the kid didn't lie. Still don't think he did. Think he is a lost [censored] for making such an awful decision. The end. And I really don't think we can be blamed for missing out on a coach when his own reps didn't know what he was doing.
  17. Please tell me it was for awful body language or lack of in-class leadership...
  18. Nope.
  19. There is only one Scully. She's a redhead, and an FBI agent...
  20. Well, if it happens at least we have stolen some IP from Collingwood...
  21. WE should have shown him the Powerpoint presentation we showed Judd. I heard it was really good...
  22. The guy should have quit last Monday. That would have been enough. Saints have their answer because he tells his reps he's not interested in an extension. Freo can extricate themselves from Harvey, not ideal scenario but firing a coach is never smooth. Lyon moves to Freo. What is most galling is that he knew his reps were organising a contract with St Kilda. He should have put a stop to that ages ago (or at least a week).
  23. I love it how talking to the representatives of people is now merely an antiquated "conventional route"... And the funny thing is when we talked about The Scully Saga © the Kliemans'/Bluchers'/Lynchs' were made out to be the third arm (or orifice) of Tom himself. So which is it? Are they reps and their client "one and the same" as was the case with the Saga? Or are they different poles that we are expected to ignore?
  24. You're the one who has turned the thread into "Melbourne screws it up again..."
  25. I have read everything, Thomo. And you have yet to convince me that me could have affected this situation in any way. Life isn't as straightforward as A was available, A left, we didn't get A. And I thought you were above "you just side with the club" arguments considering your dislike for the dismissive statements of e25/KS/AB, but I guess not...
