MFC GF Celebration Coming in December
Ray, people will come, Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. "Of course, we won't mind if you look around," you'll say. "It's only twenty dollars per person." They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it. For it is money they have and peace they lack. I think we should charge $20.

Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
I would argue that it helped us dominate the GF. But our ability to win in multiple ways won the flag. The Dogs are a great clearance team and that is all they had, they couldn’t score goals easily any other way, so when that swung 180 in our direction it became a domination.

Dees Set for Prime Time in 2022
Mordor came after 186. One does not simply go into Mordor and win. Not with 10,000 men could you do this; it is folly. But after 2021:

The Grand Final Rematch
So we are a top 4 team now - the first few rounds will be slowly getting back into the groove of a long season. Wins are great, losses will happen, don’t read much into what we do in that month. So stop talking about losing round 1 like it is so important. We have our sights a little higher than ‘early season momentum’ that’s the cute stuff that the Saints or Freo fans can coddle themselves with.

Darren Burgess podcast
My initial reaction was rolling my eyes and evidently Petracca had the same reaction. I think Burgess’ mention of his stuff; fresh mids, Jackson primed to dominate, power running Petracca and Oliver and the Dogs mids having spent their tickets - that’s more on why we turned it around.

Darren Burgess podcast
I doubt it. Petracca on the Sunday Footy Show was asked by Barrett that question and he was incredulous; I ran past Gawny and said “alright get up” and thought ‘you can’t be doing that, he’s 5’7 and you’re 6’11, c’mon mate’… 32.15 mins in

The Grand Final Rematch
Losing a game is not the end of the world. The unfurling will be remembered as it’s own thing.

COVID & AFL 2021
At least it is clear. Some hide behind state advice for venues and the like that constantly changes.

Thanks to All Concerned
What ‘they’ have done in 7 years is utterly staggering. Documentary worthy. 30 for 30 type stuff

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
He’s a favourite of the pundit class, I hate the cheap stuff he gets - even that stupid hand off he effed up that led to Brayshaws goal - why are you getting that ball there, Caleb?

The Grand Final Rematch
If it’s a cash decision - the game against the Dogs in Rd 7 is going to get a good time a lot and 75k fans - the Rd 1 unfurling of the flag against GWS will also get 60k+ fans. So why not stretch those out? And members yes, but fans no. Blockbusters will mean people will miss out that want to go - that’s why they are block busters. I would do it Saturday arvo/twilight and celebrate with no other game on anywhere during the day with Port Adelaide. We’d get 80k I would say.

The Grand Final Rematch
TBH, I don’t like the idea of unfurling the flag in front of the GF losers. I would not like that at all if they did that in 2001. Secondly, Friday night games are not exactly family friendly. I would prefer we play an interstate team during the day and get as many Demons along as want to come. Of course, we shouldn’t say no to a blockbuster but I think the club pushing for this is misguided.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
The worst thing that could have happened for Daniel in that instance is if Oliver continued past him and got the ball back from sparrow. His mids [censored] the bed up the field and there wasn’t much he could do. I think he played that well, he forced a handball from Oliver and a u-turn kick of one step by sparrow.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
We only have 4 spots left. If they want to leave one open for Feb, that makes three and suddenly if Woewodin is who they want then just take him.

AFL Season Opener 2022
I would like our first home game to be at the G against Freo or GCS or GWS. 90k opportunities for Dees fans to do something that hasn't happened for 57 years and has only happened 13 times in 124 years.

2021 Player Reviews: #8 Jake Lever
When he came to the club I knew that something was different - rarely were we chosen by players - especially up and coming stars of the game. Great leader.

rpfc's Schadenfreude Corner
Yes, their talent is like the elves in lord of the rings; their time has come to an end, and they will soon move to the undying lands. Which of course is Fox Footy.

2021 Player Reviews: #7 Jack Viney
Of all the players with a medal it’s Jack and Max that I feel so happy for after they were so affected and impacted by our malaise. He is such a footy player, what a great bull he is.

2021 Player Reviews: #6 Luke Jackson
Helped turn the GF when in the ruck, future star of the game. I wouldn’t have taken a ruck at ND3 but he is so much more than that.

2021 Player Reviews: #4 James Harmes
Interrupted season but effective. Bought into a role that sees little midfield time - great for him, he has a flag for it.
