Just got mine up in ACT. Bit later than I would like to put up an enormous flag on my house facing the street but the heathens up here deserve to know who won.

COVID & AFL 2021
Up here in the ACT, with a Chief Minister very found of locking down, we are not even out of the latest outbreak but weâre open because we are at 90% vaccinated as of today. Nothing is black and white and the performance of the state leadership has been over the place. Iâm a bit ashamed of the Fed govt response being a public servant up here, but I am glad we are on the way out of this. People will do what they want, believe what facts they want, and wonât concede anything. That disease isnât going anywhere. Fun times!

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Yeah, letâs look at his pre-season⊠itâs not like he just showed all the doubters in the âpost-season.â The footy gods do not eff around buddy - you better atone or karma is going to have its way with you. I know at this point you are just playing to get a reaction but it must feel bad to be so dismissive of someone like a Jack Viney, who is the epitome of a Demon and the coachâs favourite player, and be so wrong. So very very wrong. (Looking up at the sky) Take it easy on him Norm, Teddy, JimmyâŠ

Manning the Mark Rule Change
Itâs designed to stop teams being suffocated by far better teams and not being able to clear their defensive 50. We donât want those type of goals. We want flowing games not grinds where a dominant teams keep the ball in their 50.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
If you did, youâd officially be a troll. So kudos on your discretion. Well done. Youâre growing. Next step is to admit youâre wrong about Viney being a ârugby playerâ and literally a starting midfielder in the most explosive midfield the game has seen recently who was in the heat of the game when we were dominant in a Grand Final. Weâre here, happy to bite, and ready to forgive and forget, and absolve. You donât want the karma, my friend. You donât want that.

Manning the Mark Rule Change
Causation and correlation⊠the are other factors to that openness. And we must concede it that hasnât led to more scoring. The best rule has been the play on from the kick out that gets the ball 80m away from goals. The stand rule is good if it is tweaked to get what we need to get out of it; the player with the ball an advantage to get the ball into the forward half with movement and territory.

Manning the Mark Rule Change
It needs tweaking. The problem I saw is that the umps are looking for the player to get on the mark which can disadvantage the player with the ball. It means that defenders can âput the hands upâ and run right next to the player with the ball to get to the mark. I would tweak I to say that players can only get on the mark from the front - the defensive side - and any players coming from the side or behind to get on the mark (unless right on them) itâs a 50. Players should play on more often but I think the above impacts their ability to do that.

Extended contract for Simon Goodwin?
I just rewatched the On The Couch after the GF and Garry made Goodwin reveal one of the main messages at HT âget it and kick itâ And in that simple message reveals quite a bit. The main thing is finals footy is about the contest and âterritoryâ but itâs also about the loosening of the reigns from the coach to the chaos. Not to pick on Geelong - but Chris Scott would never advise his team on such a simple direction. He wants control he canât get, and he wants to give direction that canât be executed.

Engorged⊠you edited this and your maths is still bad.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I think Tomlinson can play with Lever, Petty and May anyway. It would completely release Lever and give the option to May if we wanted to get him peeling off more.- Extended contract for Simon Goodwin?
The more you hear about this year and the the hub last year, the more I think that while Williams and Yze brought incremental improvements - the flag was birthed out of the guidance and drive of Goodwin with the support of his leaders on the field. He should be rewarded as much as we can within the soft cap allowances. Or pay the luxury tax - we can probably afford it.- MFC GF Celebration Coming in December
Ray, people will come, Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. "Of course, we won't mind if you look around," you'll say. "It's only twenty dollars per person." They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it. For it is money they have and peace they lack. I think we should charge $20.- POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs

- Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
I would argue that it helped us dominate the GF. But our ability to win in multiple ways won the flag. The Dogs are a great clearance team and that is all they had, they couldnât score goals easily any other way, so when that swung 180 in our direction it became a domination.- Dees Set for Prime Time in 2022
Mordor came after 186. One does not simply go into Mordor and win. Not with 10,000 men could you do this; it is folly. But after 2021:- Dees Set for Prime Time in 2022
- The Grand Final Rematch
So we are a top 4 team now - the first few rounds will be slowly getting back into the groove of a long season. Wins are great, losses will happen, donât read much into what we do in that month. So stop talking about losing round 1 like it is so important. We have our sights a little higher than âearly season momentumâ thatâs the cute stuff that the Saints or Freo fans can coddle themselves with.- Darren Burgess podcast
My initial reaction was rolling my eyes and evidently Petracca had the same reaction. I think Burgessâ mention of his stuff; fresh mids, Jackson primed to dominate, power running Petracca and Oliver and the Dogs mids having spent their tickets - thatâs more on why we turned it around.- Darren Burgess podcast
I doubt it. Petracca on the Sunday Footy Show was asked by Barrett that question and he was incredulous; I ran past Gawny and said âalright get upâ and thought âyou canât be doing that, heâs 5â7 and youâre 6â11, câmon mateâ⊠32.15 mins in- The Grand Final Rematch
