The problem for Tom is that the midfield is a tough place to break into in any meaningful way. Viney and Harmes being injured was a blessing for Sparrow and Jordon and with our mids being in their primes - we are going to struggle to keep those pushing to replace them.

I have heard that Bartlett was putting undue private pressure on the coach over the summer in addition to the outburst of public pressure last year. He needed to go. Roffee needed to ensure that they was a culture of respect and care to get the most out of the club that had been smashed (as every club had) the past 2 years. We all acknowledge Bartlett’s role from where we were - now you and the other acolytes need to live up to the aura created around his tenure and get in line behind the new leader. Otherwise you risk defining his administration by the manner of the exit as opposed to the effort over the journey. Don’t create a schism - I know where the majority will sit.

I’m just thankful he stuck around for this season. Even if it’s just an edge - what an edge! Power running is one of the three things I will remember from the Dees in 2021. Other two are defensive system and galaxy of stars.

Have you people played in footy teams before? When your best player is as emotionally invested as Petracca - you have your leader. You can avoid giving him the title but I don’t think his emotions are anything other than of benefit to his leadership. I get Lever, I was a Lever type captain - once the heart and soul is the best player - that person is the better option…

Is Christian Petracca. This is not to play others down but to celebrate our best player who is so emotionally invested and empathetic. And he is the next Captain of this great club.

I really don't know what is going on with the website for the shop - they have tied the items to whether they have them in stock or on order - I can tell because they have no DVDs/BluRays available atm. Just set it all up universally available and have some text for the hard to order items that it could be 2 months before you get it. THEY SHOULD BE FLEECING US! I spent another $110 just then. I forgot the hoodie... I think. Dammit.
