  1. I don’t think you are following - Gawn and few of the mids have talked about Burgess getting them all to points beyond what they had been at and beyond what other professionals around the league got to in terms of their power running and aerobic capacity. That doesn’t mean we were ‘unprofessional’ during our run in 2018. It is also helped by the ages of our most impactful players all being in their prime years.

Give me a freaking break: Oh Wells is dangerous alright... Barrett should just give himself a week off if he doesn't have anything to write... Sliding Doors: IF you sack some people ... THEN (afl.com.au)
  3. I wouldn’t be surprised. Only a few list spots left to confirm and we may want to draft in someone in his stead.
  4. There’s a difference between being ‘fit’ and being able to do with your body what Burgess says you can do with your body

Just confirming Constable as a failed pick and has been delisted, and of course Clark traded.

Cool your jets. Garry literally called in to his own radio show and mentioned that he spoke to Jackson’s parents and they said they were coming over to Melbourne to live and he said “maybe not right now” coz there’s a pandemic on. That’s it. End of story. Film it. Show it every Christmas.
  7. Bit different for TMac in that we had this discussion with him and encouraged him to find somewhere to go. Hawks just told them they were shopping them and entered into negotiations with teams they didn’t want to go to which is a waste of time for all involved, especially GWS.
  8. Sam McLure went easy on Kennett on Sportsday a few nights ago, wasn’t the right time and place but he was trapping him in his own hubris. Kennett alluded to him not talking to the FD when he sent the email to members claiming their fav players are getting nixed. Then how did you know they were getting traded you dill? And the best part; “we believe we will be pushing for a flag again in 2 to 3 years”
lol, yeah ok, whatever you think buddy.
  9. I think the best part is that he has done this without the pressure that would have built up in 2 years with that contract and our drought and his consistency. But he slayed all those dragons and now he is ready for the real final season of GoT where we kill everybody. No, it will be satisfying

  10. Hang on now. He was being facetious when BT was doing live on air genetic experiments to cross Daicos and Martin to get Petracca. And instead of saying “Brian, shut the [censored] up” he said “decent player.”
  11. And now they have tried and failed to move Luke Breust. https://www.afl.com.au/news/684092 Classic case of, again, entertaining deals when the player doesn’t want to go to the team you’re dealing with. Kennett can obfuscate and run away from his actions but the Hawks want to move their senior players on, but, have not, and do not want be up front with them and actively get them to go. Its a perfect mess they will see disgruntled senior players stick around a club that they know doesn’t want them. Lovely.
  12. I think, fundamentally, you don't respect Dunstan as a player. You can do that, but I think you're wrong and I am happy he is there to back up our flag defence.

Have a look at our contract status: Petracca, Viney, Gawn, Salem, Lever, Langdon, May, Harmes, Brown, and TMac all taken care of. Jackson, Oliver (up in 23), Fritsch, Pickett, Petty and Brayshaw are all that’s left in terms of our stars to A grade talents. Jackson easily the 2nd most important behind Oliver.

If we had room for Cerra in the cap then we have room to front end a few deals and get some years on the end of Jackson, Oliver, Pickett et al

Yes, go to the AFL store tho

I thought it was only Rd 1 they were selling. If it’s every game - yes, that is poor form and elitist.

He helped us turn and then dominate a GF. I don’t know what you’re waiting for. If we won’t pay him, 17 other clubs will happily.
  18. Correction - they did draft well. They ain’t got nobody coming through.
  19. I really don’t mind the name change @Demonland but for those ‘rpfc stans,’ as the kids say, I was attempting a ‘Haw-thorn in the side’ pun that I know three of you would appreciate

I will find my own way out. Ah, found the fire door! (that’s a family guy reference for the two that got that)

I don’t disagree, I just don’t know what the hospital capacity looks like in that scenario which I hope is the only thing that stops us opening up fully (and is bought by the general public IMO).
  21. As we all love the slide down the ladder of the Hawks I thought it be good if we talk about the current mistakes that Sam “I’m too good to let one of the greatest coaches ever have a dignified exit” Mitchell is repeating. We all know how them pushing out Hodge and Lewis and co broke their culture (could have learnt something there Sam)
And now they are doing the same with established senior players: https://www.afl.com.au/news/683923 Wingard on the table but he doesn’t want to be on the table
Mess. When TMac and ANB were on the table last year, they were told they should move on and it wasn’t a surprise and they should try to control their own destiny. Nothing concrete materialised and you know the rest. But Hawthorn are shopping people that have not been brought on that journey; something tells me the results they will get owing me sane that we saw from TMac and ANB. Discuss.

Full capacity will rely on almost universal vaccination of the 12+ population. Only the no hopers talking about their freedumbs will probably never get vaxxed and ruin that dream for 2022 and 2023.
  23. I’m a fool then. He let himself be thrown around looking for a free. Its not the end of the world but it was ridiculous.
  24. Weirdest edit since the last third of Tomorrow War with Chris Pratt.
