  1. I wish I had've gone to the world cup match that day! I was at Casey with my elderly mother and my two nephews, so I couldn't really abandon them. What an amazing day for women's sport that day, which also happened to be International Women's Day, too!
  2. I cannot disagree more than with the comment the AFLW is seen as a novelty to the majority of Australians. Since AFLW has started, it has grown, and participation of women in football at community, club and school level has seen the biggest growth of any other aspect to do with football. In fact in many cases having women's teams have saved some clubs from going under. If you yourself are seeing it as a novelty, you're choosing to do so. But don't feel you can speak for others, who are extremely passionate about women's footy. Oh, and 84,000 who attended the MCG for the final of the women's world cup cricket match certainly disagree with you.
  3. These girls are hungry, and have been hungry for a few seasons now. They were bitterly disappointed in losing the prelim and are desperate to do better. I have no doubt they will aim to go better and win the premiership. If the address from Kate Roffey during the preseason training wasn't going to give them inspiration, and give the message the club is 100% behind them, nothing will!
  4. Came home from work yesterday to two parcels - one from Footy Shop in Tasmania with a tshirt and a mask, the other the Demon Shop order I placed on the night of the grand final with a tshirt, the black New Era cap (love it!!), and two stickers (rectangle Mark Knight one and a car bumper one). Still have the rest of the AFL Store merch to come (a beanie, another tshirt, drink bottle, two books, two pins, DVD). Probably not expecting that for a while, unless they split orders.
  5. Take the family to the G the week before, and combine the two events
  6. In that particular order, 4 items: a tshirt, a cap, and two stickers.
  7. Except that it isn't Australia Post this time, it hasn't even been picked.
  8. Yeh, well, atm I'm feeling it's a further kick in the teeth, we haven't even had a chance to celebrate it yet. I feel like I've just taken $500 and incinerated it.
  9. Just got off the phone with the Demon Shop, they haven't even picked my order yet. Great. That's what you get when you place an order half an hour after winning a grand final. I wonder if I'll get it before Christmas....
  10. That's the same style tshirt Demon Shop told me they were waiting on..... I ordered it on GF night.
  11. See, that's what I'm annoyed about, I was told by Demon Shop they were waiting for that tshirt to arrive at their end, I ordered it GF night. How come everyone's getting them, and mine hasn't even left their warehouse?
  12. What did you order, and what has arrived for you so far?
  13. Is anyone else experiencing delays getting their GF merch? Since GF night I've placed about $500 worth of orders through AFL Store, Demon Shop and Footy Shop and received so far very little. Summary of what I've ordered: 25 Sept (night of GF) - from Demon Shop: New Era cap (the black one) Grey premiership t shirt Bumper sticker Mark Knight sticker Demon shop advised me last week delay was waiting on cap, today they tell me delay is waiting on tshirt. AFL Store (3 different orders) 26 September Premiership scarf - received Car decal - received. 28 September 2 x kids grey tshirts - arrived Mark Knight drink bottle - waiting on Premiership cup pin - waiting on 6 October DVD - preorder Pictorial book - preorder Max Gawn book - preorder New Balance white premiership tshirt - waiting on Premiership logo pin - waiting on Premiership beanie - waiting on 11 October - from AFL Footy Shop Navy premiership tshirt Face mask Premiership Cup keyring (they told me today tshirt and mask are in, but the keyring is preorder, not expecting it until 15 November, and order will be shipped together). I guess I'm just frustrated because we haven't had a chance to properly celebrate yet, and this just feels like a further kick in the teeth.
  14. It seems he's now set about destroying his own club. What a balls up.....
  15. Thank you, that does actually help :). I guess I questioned myself when I replied to one of them "you know if I was a Bulldogs supporter I'd be angrier that my team got on the beers two weeks early, than a winning side singing a song. Perhaps if Bulldogs didn't celebrate so hard after the prelim they wouldn't have lost by 74 points...."
  16. Interesting thread, and so timely. I'm currently being trolled by Bulldogs supporters on Twitter calling me arrogant after I simply asked the question - "what's the deal? It's a song...." Apparently Bulldogs are accusing Melbourne players of mocking them after singing the same song Bulldogs sang when they got on the [censored] after the prelim.... I'm questioning myself whether I'm showing arrogance by wondering if they're being a bit precious over a song....
  17. Thank you for sharing this!! I really hoped it would reach out to other Dees fans while I was making it, trying to put in the clip what I was feeling myself, which is excited but sad at the same time. I'm glad it's mirroring what others feel!
  18. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I felt the same as I was editing it. Kylie did a sensational job on vocals.
  19. Thanks for the comments :). I put it together with Kylie from the Demon Army doing a magic job on lyrics and vocals. Great to hear so many positive comments!!
