  1. If Damian Barrett had a brain Then The Tinman would be lonely
  2. How about we don't give Barrett any more oxygen on this forum, because every time I see his diatribe I get viscerally angry.
  3. That's the point people in the media are blindly ignoring. If (and it's a big if) Grundy wants a trade, Melbourne would have to agree to it, and I don't see that happening.
  4. You've got a point. I've put forward what I would select though. Spargo last few games has been a bit off the boil, whereas Melksham has been on fire last couple of games. I can't speak for Goodie, though, as I'm not him!
  5. I'm just sick of the media hacks saying things like "out of favour" and "sure to seek a trade" like they'd know anything. Stick to your own lane, Lloyd, you know jack [censored] about a club you know nothing about, and all you're trying to do is keep up with fellow media hacks in trying to be relevant.
  6. My finals side (pending fitness) would be: Back. Bowey. May. McVee Half back. Rivers. Lever Salem Centre. Hunter. Oliver. Langdon Half forward. Petracca Grundy. Pickett Forward. Van Rooyen Fritsch. Neal Bullen Followers. Gawn. Brayshaw. Viney Interchange: Petty Sparrow. Hibbert. McDonald. Sub. Melksham Emergency from: Smith. Woewodin. Harmes. Spargo. Jordan. Chandler. Brown. Tomlinson I'm not convinced TMac will be fit, if he's not, then Brown would be my in. Interesting problem to have, a fit list with so many that could be counted as best 22. I feel bad for the ones not in......
  7. Seriously, wtf would Matthew Lloyd know?
  8. This is my go to default position when I think of what a typical Tigers fan is like. Pure, unadulterated boganism.
  9. I grew up saying poos and wees, due to all my mum's side of the family being Hawks supporters. The 80s were hell for me football wise
  10. Someone has series issues. Inferiority complex perhaps?
  11. To your credit, none of those are misogynistic
  12. I don't want to lose him....:(
  13. Tayla Harris is very handy in the ruck, she proved that last season when Lozza missed a couple of games.
  14. That's the worse thing about close games at the tail end of the season, watching the percentage decrease....!
  15. Aw, you should have said hi! Thanks for coming to support us, and most importantly the MFC Past Players and Officials Association who we were raising money for :)
  16. Yes!! This made my day!!
  17. Twitter is absolutely awash with how Melbourne cheated and the umpires are biased towards us. Obviously they missed the "touched" goal that wasn't touched, or the deliberate out of bounds paid against Melbourne that was done by the Crows.
  18. Can we revisit the day Don Pyke said nothing to the Crows in Alice Springs? Coz that was funny. https://www.afl.com.au/news/141037/pykes-silent-treatment-was-no-surprise
  19. Good on Goodwin slamming the trade rumours, and confirming Grundy is staying. Why the club couldn't do it yesterday I don't know, but they have now, and hopefully that's the end of the matter
  20. I don't need much in the area of imagination to figure out what you're intending to say there!!! And I would agree with you!
  21. The discourse from On the Couch the other night was outright despicable. After that cesspool of BS, I take what was said by Channel 7 with a grain of salt. Mind you, your line of "Substantially reduces the benefit and viability of a trade" - why do you want to trade him? All that shows me is that you're buying the media BS.
  22. Pretty sure Richo said it end of last year when Grundy was traded
  23. Okay, I'm going to go full rant mode here. I'm sick to death of the media discourse around Brodie Grundy at the moment, and the so called sports journos' tendency to stick the knife in, having him being traded, it hasn't worked, etc etc. It was always Melbourne's plan to have Brodie as a ruck/forward combination, and it was always the club's intention to have him play some VFL games to strengthen his forward craft. The only thing that delayed that from happening sooner was Gawn getting injured and waiting for him to get back to full strength. This has now happened, hence Grundy was named for the 2s. To say the Gawn/Grundy combination isn't working and it's all Grundy's fault is, pardon my French, complete [censored]. As a ruck combination, they outrucked Cox/Cameron combination, they outrucked the Jackson/Darcy combination in Fremantle. In fact they have consistently outrucked the opposition throughout the season. If there was ANY reason for lack of efficiency, it could be put more down to the fact Gawn's knee injury at the start of the season prevented him from being his best. Not Grundy. In fact for the weeks Gawn was out injured, Grundy was invaluable, he proved his worth in my books. Grundy isn't going anywhere. Media hacks, lay off. We know how much these so called "professionals" hate Melbourne. They've moved on from Oliver onto a new target. And it's not fair on Grundy. Rant over.
  24. So not going there.....
