I've been to the 30+ year function for the last 3 years. It's usually held in the Yarra Park function room at the MCG before the match, free drinks, free food, club staff (including CEO and Pres) addressing the guests, as well as a handful of non-playing members, and they also offer seats in the reserved seat area for guests on the second level of the Olympic Stand, although I've always gone back down to the Demon Army after the function.

I'm hoping it's a case of media muckraking yet again. Remember it was only a year or so ago the media were adamant Paxy was going to seek a trade to Fremantle.

About 18 years ago I was working at Northland Secondary College, at the time the largest provider of education for koori kids in Melbourne. Quite a few of the kids and teachers were involved in Fitzroy All Stars, both in their football and netball programs. It's massive in the koori community in Melbourne.

I am the very proud niece of the then head of Olympic Park trust, Alan Oxley, who famously told Eddie that he wasn't allowed to name Olympic Park the Bob Rose Oval. Boy did Eddie chuck the biggest wobbly over that! Well done, Uncle Alan!!!

Fitzroy All Stars is a community club specifically for Aboriginal players and competes in the NFNL. Like any community club I doubt being coach would be a highly paid role.

Literally the first paragraph of the annual statement article sent to members state the club is "proud to announce an operating profit of for the year ended 31 October 2024, marking the Club's fourth consecutive operating profit." Where did you get loss from?
