  1. Their names are Caitlin Nobes (Media Dept) and Tamara Jade Quarmby (player sponsors). Go ahead and ask their opinion. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Given you seem skeptical.
  2. According to AFL, around 150 players from all 18 clubs have been "excused" by systems to protect them. Yet Melbourne is the issue.
  3. What evidence?
  4. So you're going to write off the culture of the entire club because one player was stupid enough to take drugs. Were these questions asked about Collingwood when 17 players were investigated in 2017? Was Western Bulldogs questioned about their culture around Bailey Smith? Collingwood last year with Ginnivan, who then when on to threaten to revenge porn the player who dobbed him in? Or when some of their players made misogynistic Tiktoks? Were Brisbane questioned about their culture when half their team sent explicit texts to each others' partners when they were in Vegas? Were Port questioned about their culture when one of their players, high as a kite, thought he could fly and jumped to his dealth from a high rise balcony? Are Essendon being questioned about their culture when Stringer was caught with gangland figures? Or GWS now while half their side is being suspended for inappropriate behaviour on end of season trip?Everything else you've cited there is based on rumour. Do you want to know why we didn't hear from Roffey for months? She was in hospital with COVID. She told me that herself. So, dear Mr Gonzo, tell me, why is Melbourne the only one being singled out?
  5. He's done it for the last 4 year. He does it because there he has access to a much level of high performance personnel and facilties. He does it because he's sponsored by Red Bull. If it means he has a superior fitness than his opponents, who would anyone have an issue with it?
  6. Who is saying there's poor culture? The players? Not a single player has complained publicly about culture, and in fact several have said how much they love the culture. The staff? The ones I've spoken to are perplexed, Caitlin and Tam, who I deal with on a regular basis, have told me it's the best culture workplace they've worked in. The media? Ah! The ones summising!
  7. They could try and make the offer, then watch while Melbourne say "no thanks".
  8. I'd say our woes this year started long before Trac getting injured, it started when we lost Gus so close to the start of the season. They really struggled to fill that void that he left, and the role he would have played.
  9. and it looks like we're about to trade that pick with an F1 for pick 9, so things do work out.
  10. I'm loving the combination of Maeve and Gabby in defence, they work so well together. Gabby Colvin is having a pearler of a season so far, so great to see her best again after her ACL.
  11. If it's any consolation, St Kilda have a similar break between matches.
  12. How good was Goldie on Wednesday! I agree that despite the low score, it was not a boring game. Both teams applied strong pressure, and it made it a highly entertaining, yet (in the last quarter) stressful watch. Adelaide could not cope with the pressure being applied to them, and they made a lot of unforced errors which our girls were able to take advantage of. Melbourne were often first to the ball, and really, Adelaide had no one else to blame but themselves for their lost. They just couldn't cope. Well done, girls!
  13. Why? He's always been active on Twitter. Seems like as president you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Roffey was criticised for being quiet, now Greey's being criticised for speaking out? They can't win either way, can they?
  14. That's the thing, though, he isn't in Shepparton. That is one of the lies his mum blasted about last night on social media. He's playing golf in Moama. A friend of mine is a teacher at Goulburn Valley Grammar, and she described him as being a bit of a space cadet when he was in high school, in a loveable way, so that would concur with your evaluation of him not having a lot going on in his scone (great way to put it!). I think that's where Gawny though has been really good for him, and in the podcast last week, he really does value him as a friend or mentor. I think that's a bit reason why I don't think he wants to be traded out.
  15. Also hell of a commute from Rich River to Shepparton, which is where Sam Manure says he is.
  16. I don't take them seriously. Please point where I have treated the media with anything but contempt. Problem is the world is full of gullible nutbags who take the media at face value.
  17. I'll try my very best not to contribute any more then. Oh, darn it! I just did!
  18. This is my point about the media BS.
  19. You need to listen to the podcast. In it he talks about what he's looking forward to in 2025, ie running around with his Melbourne teammates, he talks about what he loves about the Melbourne culture, etc. You should listen to it.
  20. well done, both of you agree he hasn't been mistreated :)
  21. Yeah, right, that's why your engagement with my posts have exploded in the last 24 hours. Interesting you advise someone else here not to presume things when you presumed what my level of involvement is in the club. How very hypocritical.
  22. He's still angry I pulled him up for his treatment of WCW, so I'm now his new target.
  23. No, I'm not. But then neither are the board. They're volunteer roles.
  24. Well put. Clarry even said in that podcast last week, "the media are full of [censored]". Just like his mum did last night on Facebook.
  25. Believe it or not I have a lot more to do with the club than just being a cheersquad member. But unlike others I'm not one to stand on top of the mountain and shout it out for all to hear.
