Richards is steak knives, certainly not the 2xfirsts Port were asking. I think GC are salary dumping Atkins as well. Either way GC and Port with egg on their face, Pies laughing.
  2. The legendary Nathan Jones is being eyed off for a coaching role https://x.com/tommorris32/status/1845697120717918485?t=iL-aEA6Jycjl0HJ_yQYAwQ&s=19
  3. You need to break a few eggs to make an omlette. When we overpay we usually know have a very specific target. We also 'overpayed' for Kolt last year, but it doesn't seem to have impacted our plans this year. This means we pull x2 top 10 picks, Sharp and a rookie like Mentha. Sounds like a great haul to me.
  4. Probably will use this in a bundle for a points trade this year
  5. I think we are looking for 2 gun mids. We have enough list spots dedicated to young talls with JVR, Jefferson, Turner, Verrel, Adams, Howes, Kentfield and Petty (who is 24 but looks 35). A good mix of high talent and rookie prospects. Comparatively, we only have Windsor and Rivers as elite young mid. Other young mids include Sparrow, Laurie, Taj - not great.
  6. Disco Turner, early days but made a great impact as KPP this year
  7. Trade radio mentioned we have offered a f1st and 2nd for Don's pick 9. Good offer, a bit overs points wise probably but I think all depends on we finish next year.
  8. Goody was sold at "i love my journey", hope he loves a process too

We have a good recruiting history in this pick range like Rivers and Sparrow. 28 feels low but we could easily recycle this into another 150+ game player.

After hearing Green speak, it feels like the new era is beginning to usurp the old. I hope he takes over from Pert when this is all said and done.

Yep, i bet these calls happen every day, especially heading into trade period.
  12. We got our man

Everyone is tradeable, for the right price. Front up or bugger off!
  14. Good for Mini, don't know if this good for us. We must have someone locked in for the role already.
  15. I don't think we have the list spots this year to take punts on Parfitt types.

Never implied they did, I just don't give a stuff about any other club than ours.

Great call, the agenda was set a long time ago to absolute nail the dees at every oppurtunity. Now they can easily spin any story into a hit piece. Morris may report facts, but what is selected, omitted and when things are timed are apart of the media sphere hunting us.

Yeah this is the exact revisionism I was talking about. Bedford has had a very similar year to Chandler, nothing exceptional. ^^^^ fully agree Bing

Seen many posters have crazy revisionism with Bedford since his trade. But he could not hold down a spot in the 22 when he was in this team.
  20. Viney leading the young lads, good stuff
  21. Pace is a great treat, but IQ helps you find space and smart kicking will move the ball faster than run and carry always.

ANB probably has had his best ever season this year, we are selling at highest value. At 28 years old I don't think he has much more room to improve and it's likely he won't be as impactful in a new club and system.

Even poorer man's Shane McAdam, don't need another NQR medium forward on the list

Wright is tall but pretty soft and does not attack the ball well in the air. Membrey more of a traditional lead up foward, so more likely replaces Petty/Turner. Plays tall and has decent hands. Same size as fritsch but Membrey is not a ground level player.
