Golden Golden Stuff! -

Jack Fitzpatrick? Meh! had chances to consolidate, not quite up to it ! -
Whatever he has done or perceived to have done is insignificant when you consider he did win a Melbourne Best and Fairest. For a time he was my favourite player going around! Always gave the MFC 100% A pity his overzealousness got him into hot water. Given he stood up to Mark "No Idea" Neeld can be forgiven! Well done Beamer very solid career and good luck!

Training - Thursday 7th August, 2014

Appendix recovery is a bit hit and miss. I know blokes that had theirs removed and played after 4 weeks, how many weeks has Toumpas been idle for? Club might feel it might be better to keep him till next year or should I say Pre season in November " Doctor, Doctor give me the news I got a bad case" -

Yep, just 1 drink away, I altercation away, I incident away, please no! "Echo Beach far away in time" Echo Beach far away in time"..........................! -
I can add a bit more to this, An of the ball event in fact miles away from the action and he turned around and King Hit Rohan Bail! The game was the Affiliate clubs Casey Scorps Vs Northern Bullants and it must have been about season 2011 I reckon maybe 2010. Not sure! If I recall correctly the club were absolutely livid! I think he got 4 weeks but given the lack of video evidence etc he was extremely lucky to have only got that! If it had been a main game and the hit was seen he would have got months such was the severity and thuggery of the incident. Apologies for putting his name up earlier as a potential recruit. In light of current scenario I think AFL Footy is better of without this type of player!

Thanks Chook, what about .. "For all of the decent citizens you've enraged You can go to Hell" Alice Cooper Re some players wasting talent?

I'm going to end some of my posts with a line which is a lyric to a famous or more obscure song. Feel free to add posters because it's something a little different to lighten up what could be an otherwise dismal Night!! For tonight We tried and were found wanting but something to look forward to "And the parties over, I'm so tired" Avalon Brian Ferry! A great song, something to mellow out on!

I seem to remember something about this happening previously to Juice. I think he had a contract but was downgraded to rookie list ( still on senior payments) to allow another to take his spot on the Senior list. Can anyone else remember this or something like this happening. Pretty sure that precedent exists to down grade a Senior player to Rookie keep paying contract but enable another spot on main list?

And after hearing the "True" story leaving Garlett to fend for himself that not only spells the end of his time at Carlton but possibly career. I retract my comments, I do not want a bloke that leaves his teammate already in trouble and lying further putting them both in the lurch! Sorry now extreme pass!
-
Ah, Me Either!! If anyone can turn him around St. Paul can!
-
Oh yeah, like this plan a lot!!!! Great strategies Georgio man!!
-
Contracts be buggered!! Mc Kenzie and Evans = List Cloggers Ruthlessness is what is needed right now!
-
Can we PLLLLEAAASE stop Mentioning "Shanks Eishold" Otherwise I might have to go back on medication!!
-
I'm not all that happy with Cam Pederson Missing out! Sheeit he has been one of our most improved players this year. To be omitted seems harsh, although having surgery on a broken nose is no fun at all I can tell you and it can and does knock the wind out of your sails. I had it done after mine was smashed over my face in an "off the ball" Hit and I'm still seeing stars 20 years later..I reckon it took me a good three weeks to recover from the anaesthetic. I played the following week but I felt like a "Gumby Doll" Anyway I just feel that maybe they have taken the players health into account, I hope so anyway Even though it says omitted I think Cam Peterson is being harshly treated! Injured I can cope with! Hnmm anyone else with me on this?? Also, other than this I do like the changes!

I have said this before, No player and I mean no player should be off the table! If we need to trade a player to get a player commensurate to our needs then do it! Grimes and Watts I believe might have some currency elsewhere and if it forms part of a deal that improves us then do it! Captaincy or not is irrelevant! Hard nosed football bargaining takes no prisoners! And we are at the stage of having to shed some quality to get even better quality that suits our needs! Emotional attachment in this footy club ended when Norm Smith was sacked and more recently when James Mc Donald was unmercifully told to retire! The die has been cast now lets be ultra ruthless!
-
What use is keeping a very limited skilled player Mc Kenzie who's tagging ability is questionable anyway?? I would much rather not tag fullstop and develop players who are creative and damaging, thus forcing opposition teams to not just tag Jones, Tyson and Vince but tag multiple players because of the damage they do! Nup Pay out his contract or trade (doubtful) and move on! Agree with most of the others Blease Trade, Clisby doesn't appear to be in the plan Tapscott, Strauss, Nicholson Evans all have had chances, time to really move with clinical precision and ruthlessly those who won't or can't make it in a Melbourne jumper!
-
Both are hanging by a thread! Big make or break year for both! I for one do not share your enthusiasm!
-
I saw Greg Parke and Ross Dillon miss a few, but on the other hand Collingwood had Peter Mc Kenna as deadly a kick for goal as anyone whoever played! For a short time we had........ Ray Carr.. excellent game for goal average!

Was happy when Salem was mentioned .. ah the other two?? BIG QUESTION MARKS REMAIN ,,, Let's not kid ourselves! -
Oh Sheeeit can we stop talking about "That Game:" my week has been bad enough without mentioning "That Game"
-
Ewoks had a role in Starwars movies too!
-
Satsman, I never said I missed, I missed quite a few, but never ever missed from 5-15 out slight angle NEVER! Another point, these blokes are paid handsomely to be able to Kick, Mark, Handball! Rudimentary skills for AFL I would have thought! given the fulltime status of players!
-
I have seen some misses for goal in my time but none were as bad as Jordy Mc Kenzie's miss from point blank range a few metres out last week. Others of note were Magners miss from 35 out ( didn't make the distance) and I remember Juice missing a sitter a few years ago. Others have covered our lack of skill in other forums but I will say this. There is no room for a bloke who cannot kick a goal from that distance and whos skills are mediocre at best. I suppose then if he's a tagger that gets beaten and with little else going for him I would rather skip the tag and play someone else in a creative role in this team as sorry a state that it is in currently! Best groom creativity than a negative player who struggles in the rudiments of the game! Footnote: I had forgotten about Simon Eishold's miss because I had purged it from my memory. But alas it returned! That really was the worst given the state of the game! Grrrrrr.
