Anyone else want to buy the notion that we need outside run as opposed to inside grunt need look no further than todays contested footy and first use count till half time! We are getting killed! So once and for all this should send a reality check to all you posters out there that think that we need outside run as opposed to INSIDE MID GRUNT! as our first recruiting priority! So as I was saying spend our first two picks on that need, THEN maybe look at Billy Stretch to appease that outside need as a third round pick. The other startling need is for a key Forward and as I have said throw a package to Richmond for Riewoldt which they cannot refuse! Till half time this display has been diabolical!

If you are enquiring about John Butcher, one time could have been pickup for the Dees several years ago he is playing as Key Forward in the SANFL. He is having a good season from all reports. Currently he sits behind one "Juice Newton" from Norwood on the SANFL Goalkicking list ,which makes him third or fourth on this list I think!

I never knocked Billy Stretch, just reported that my spies that had watched him had indicated that there may be others better suited to Melbourne's needs Hence the No! I have seen glimpses of his play and he goes pretty well. Ok Ask yourself is he worth more to Melbourne at the moment than a third rounder???? Well is he?? I think not, for the reasons I have detailed time and again. First fix the inside mid problem. First possession in todays footy is vital . How good are your outsiders if you don't get first use eh??? Hence there goes picks one and two ( The fact is also we may go after another key forward as well as part of these first two picks) So where does that leave us?? A third round pick by my reckoning!
