  1. I wish Daniher would resign off his own accord, effective 4:45pm Sunday May 27th...if we lose to the Kangaroos this week. I'll reserve my judgement till then, but someone must pay for the [censored] that was put up last Sunday V the Toast.
  2. Do you honestly think ND will see out the year if we get done this week? This club will be in absolute crisis if they lose, make no mistake. Curran and Riley are on definate stand by, plus they've taken the reigns in pre-season games and have enough experience to take the gig for 13 weeks. I can't accept 0-9. ND will just be embarrasing himself if he keeps going. Why would he want to coach a bunch of blokes who simply aren't responding to their coach? Gardiner's been quiet about the coach all season, but one day very soon he'll snap his finger and say enough is enough. Just my opinion, but is it that far-fetched??
  3. If Melbourne lost comprehensively this week and Richmond won, can anyone forsee the distinct possibility of ND either resigning next week or getting sacked. I know its very un-like Paul Gardiner, but......sometimes harsh calls need to be made. If so, would you prefer: Chris Fagan Peter Curran Paul Williams (unlikely as he's only been here 5 minutes) Mark Riley Sorry to be so negative, but I've got an ugly vibe if we go down this week. Usually sackings come when you least expect it. Having said that, I give us a shot this week. Roos are due for a loss, and Dees are due not to lose.
  4. Has to be Damien Sully. The guys sounds like a cross between Dave Hughes and a man at the Sydney mardigras.
  5. Don't worry bud, they'll keep you happy in that department. They couldn't beat a Croydon under 14's side at the moment. 4 wins maximum this year which will result in a 15th or 16th finish. Lets just hope the Blues win more than 4 games to ensure they don't have first pick in the draft.
  6. I think he's been suspended twice, plus a trip to the clink.
  7. Maybe they can employ it at AAMI later in the year ----------------------------------------------------- I love these threads. *Cue for Rhino Richards, Old 55 and Clint Bizket to renew hostilities*
  8. Who bloody cares if we wear our red clash strip. I can't believe people are so sensitive on the matter. Jumpers don't kick you goals. Infact I've advocated for the club to wear this jumper at every away game.
  9. ND will be a dead man walking if we lose this one. 0-9!!!
  10. Thanks for the response guys. Pardon my ignorance, but does that mean you literally watch it live like on TV, or Live as in play-by-play in writing?
  11. Hey guys, On Sunday May 27, I'll be missing my first MFC match in Melbourne since round 5 2001 as I'll be in Hong Kong for the weekend. I feel kind of guilty abandoning the boys in their hour of need, and that I could very well miss our first win for the year. So I ask the well travelled folk of Demonland, whats the best way of keeping track of the live coverage? - log into Demonland and view the game day thread? - Listen to the radio coverage? - Watch the game live through afl.com from an internet cafe or hotel room (is that possible and do you need Broadband)? For the people that go to the game, enjoy it and hope the boys bring you home their first win for the year (unless we beat West Coast ) Help appreciated!!! **Mods you can move this to general discussion if need be**
  12. Can't agree there. I would've sold my left nut to get Tarrant at the club. He's been great for Freo in the last month and I would've traded Green and draft picks for him. Would've added some potency to our forward line, but thats history now.
  13. I doubt it. Who would at their third club??
  14. Geez at this rate we're going to have a belter of a side for the Roos game. Assuming no more injuries, we should have McLean, Whelan, Robertson, Petterd and Rivers all back. Pity thats the only Victorian game I can't get to this year. Best case scenario for Rivers is that they didn't want to subject his back to a 3-4 hour flight. Worst case scenario is that its something way more sinister. Think Whelan and Petterd will play but they'll save Brock for the Roos.
  15. I'm just convinced he hasn't got it. Skills are reasonable but he just doesn't have anything that the average VFL player hasn't already got....IE - STAMP HIS AUTHORITY ON AN AFL GAME!!! He played 2 fairly good games against Wet Toast and St.Kilda in rounds 9 and 10 last year, but then went missing from rounds 11-15 during our winning streak. Then when called up to a round 19 injury depleted side against Sydney, he struggled big time with 8 or so touches and was never seen again for 2006. Now 2007 arrives and he teases us with 2 supreme performances in the NAB Cup and rightly earns a round 1 gig. However his first 2 games for the season was un-AFL like (averaging 10 touches) and the club had no choice but to drop him. Its simple really. His round 5 performance against Sydney was poor as well. You just can't keep throwing games at blokes that are not up to it.
  16. Hasn't got what it takes to be an AFL player and is justifiably not getting games after a promising pre-season. Case closed.
  17. Trapper arguing with an umpire....god no
  18. Anyone who saw Frawley at Princes Park V Richmond in March knows he's got what it takes. He'll be a solid defender who's capable of running the lines. Will debut in about 3-4 weeks if he's Sandy form is promising.
  19. They might do a Dean Rioli and (LITERALLY) carry him over the line for the last 2 games of the year. Would be disapointing if he couldn't make 200 considering how close he is.
  20. Goodbye Byron. Thanks for the brief memories. I think its fair to say that his heart wasn't in it for his third club.
  21. You'd say Holland will get about 5 weeks for this one, going by the Jeff Farmer incident. I'm actually not to fussed on this one, it could've been a much worse (as in better MFC) player to front.
