What are the implications for Neeld and the senior players if we have back to back 100 point losses?
-
Conversly, what are the implications of a 10 goal + loss?
-
Petterd has been the single biggest disappointment of the season so far.

Ha ha gotta love the weekly cycle of Demonland: Saturday/Sunday - "we are a disgrace" "We're the worst team since Fitzroy" "Sack Neeld", "Drop Watts" Sylvia is a joke etc... Thursday night -"best side this year" "Neeld was brutal at selection, good on him" "we can sneak a win here" Saturday/Sunday - "we are a disgrace etc........ At the start of the year if you would've given me this week side, I would've been confident of a win and excited by that forward line.

Gee I'll be sweating on the availability of Seller this weekend.....

Thursday May 17th - Jurrah-dgment Day

Would be the first club in the VFL/AFL to have a listed/contracted player go to the clink? -
He's been terrible in his 2 or 3 games this year. However, he was a live wire in our win V's Collingwood in the NAB Cup in March. And it was only 12 months ago when he starred V's Adelaide with 4 goals and got brownlow votes V Port in Darwin. A talent that should be persisted with for the time being. If he's still struggling by the end of the year, it may be beneficial to part ways.

Why we will beat Sydney

Terrific, Neeld's new game style is suited to a venue we play once a year. -

If we lose by 40 pts to GWS and the Dees players are laughing and chatting and smiling after the siren, they may as well shut up shop and hand their license back to the AFL. -
It's amazing that in round 7, 2011 we beat Adelaide by 96 points at the MCG. Moloney got 3 votes in this one. Now the bloke has the sooks. Sylvia kicked 4 goals V Crows. Now he can't be arsed doing anything. Petterd also kicked 4 goals and looked super dangerous and dynamic. Now he doesn't look AFL standard. All 3 could and should (bar maybe Moloney) be dropped this week. All 3 are supposed to be in our top 10 players. Something seriously stinks at this club.

Bring back Green and Jurrah, blokes that aren't liabilities with the ball. Bail Sylvia and Petterd need to find form.
-
Rivers on hale is a terrible matchup. Mitch Clark- isn't it nice to finally have a player the opposition are concerned about.
-
Thanks for report. The match reports from last weeks game indicated that Grimes had an injured ankle. Perhaps he misses this week?
-
Apart from Watts getting dropped, this would have to be our strongest side for the year. Bring back Jurrah, Petterd, Watts and Gysberts over the next month, hope for no more injuries and we'll have a side good enough to start winning games...I hope.

Given our impotent forward line, he's unforced absense has been one of the stories of the year. Amazing we can't find a spot for him. Though I concede he had a very poor game V Wc (who didn't). Maybe we trade him to Gold Coast if things don't work for the rest of the year.
-
We could do a deal with GWS and Gold Coast . They promise not to bid on Jack Viney in exchange for Dunn and Joel MacDonald.
-
I reckon we could give Essendon a real crack in Rd 10. It's at the G and we've beaten then the lady 2 times and hopefully we'll have Jurrah, Clark and Frawley in the side...plus increased confidence in ability and confidence.

Changes for Round 5 vs St Kilda
Bring-Back-Powell replied to titan_uranus's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Ricky Petterd doesn't get a game this week, something is wrong. How he cannot get a game over seriously average players like MacDonald, McDonald, Sellar and Dunn is a joke. I understand he played a poor game v West Coast, but how many others have put in continued poor games and not gotten dropped. In- Petterd, Sylvia, Grimes, Martin (if fit) Out- MacDonald, Dunn, Sellar, McDonald See how we go Playing 1 less tall. Kozi out for them is handy. I'd play Sylvia permanent as a stay at home fwd this week rather than ease him back in the vfl. We need class forwards up there! Certainly our best 22 so far. -
Jurrah a chance for VFL return this week (23/4/2012)
Bring-Back-Powell replied to deanox's topic in Melbourne Demons
Give me an unfit and undiciplined Jurrah or Sylvia over a Joel MacDonald, Tom McDonald, Lynden Dunn or who ever else that isn't AFL standard. -
THey've left out a livewire and a potential match winner (Petterd) for Mr Fumbles (J Mac) that can't be trusted with the ball in hand. I liked Joel mac in 2010 but he's gone backwards dramatically ever since.
-
How the hell does Bail keep getting a game? Has literally not done a thing this year in 360 minutes of footy.
-
With all due respect, cannot see this game exceeding 35k. Both clubs playing poor and the family unfriendly time slot are a lethal cocktail.
-
There was an article on the MFC website stating that Moloney is a chance this week. Sylvia 2 weeks away. Jurrah did his wrist on the last weekend of August 2011. I can't believe he still hasn't recovered from that. What a stuff up that's been.
