  1. If that's the case, 36,000 people should be writing PJ an email at the end of the year, urging the club to withdraw at least one of it's 2 games in the NT. It would be a tragedy if we missed finals because we sacrificed 2 home game. In relation to the over reaction by Gerard W, I think it's more than warranted. We're just too inconsistent to be in finals discussion at this point in time. If we beat Richmond, St Kilda, Brisbane and one of Gold Coast or Bulldogs over the next 5 weeks (6-3 after rd 9), then we can have a genuine discussion about finals.
  2. Yeah find it hilarious that he left Melbourne because he hates playing in defence. And then they throw him in defence late in the game because he did stuff all up fwd. Hes at his best as an intercepting 4th defender but he and Buckley haven't worked that out yet.
  3. I assume you've made that up but it will probably be the outcome in the end. As I've stated earlier, we must avoid drafting interstate players at all costs. Unless we're Hawthorn or North (who have an impeccable retention record) it's going to end in tears.
  4. Have St Kilda gone past us? level against the premiers at 3qtr time.
  5. I can't remember a time we've played 2 horribly out of form sides in consecutive weeks. Going to be an interesting fortnight.
  6. If Hogan wants to return, you'd assume he'll request a trade at the end of the year. Why would he waste his time and ours, playing an entire season (2017) when you have no desire of being there. Having said that I'd rather he see out his contract as Weideman wouldn't be ready to take over the reigns in his second year.
  7. Langdon's got good mail. He was the one that dropped the Worsfold to Essendon bomb-shell before anyone else.
  8. If this is true, we are to never EVER again recruit a top 20 draft pick who resides outside of Victoria. We are too inept a club to retain talent.
  9. For what it's worth, Grimes has now been included as an emergency with Garlett going out.
  10. I reckon it's us. Seeing as though the NT arrangement isn't going so well if you believe the rumours, we'll instead 'host' this game and ditch the two NT games from next year. I'd assume the one game in China would generate just as much cash as the 2 crappy NT games we play.
  11. Garlett barely trained today, according to the training thread so must be in severe doubt. When Frost is in the side I wish we had Pedersen and when Pedersen is in the side I wished we had Frost. Bottom line is I don't think either player is good enough. in - Brayshaw out - Vince
  12. Is Garlett a certain in? Minor ankle injuries can take a couple of weeks to get over. I wouldn't bother listening to Dave "Mr personality" Misson anymore after he declared he was a certain starter last week.
  13. Was going to play his 300th against us in round 8.
  14. Just re-watched the incident. Unless Macmillan was acting by falling to the ground in the hope of stealing a free kick, I reckon Vince just got him. As a result, 2 down to 1. Maybe if we're extremely lucky, a fine but it wasn't a good look.
  15. Did he make contact or not? Yes - 2 weeks down to 1 as MacMillan wasn't injured. No - no case to answer. Bloody poor discipline from a leader.
  16. You want to drop a small forward who kicked 4?
  17. One of the reasons I was against us getting rid of Cross. We're going to lose so many games this year due to inexperience.
  18. Dave Misson - "Garlett will definitely play on Sunday"
  19. I would only rest Hogan once Dawes returns to the side. A forward line headed by Pedersen and Frost scares me.
  20. They're only predicting 0-2 mm of rain @ 50% chance. So it won't be all that wet, if at all.
  21. I reckon Vandenberg is one week away from the magoos. Has been poor this year and is severely overrated on this board. I can recall one poster even likening him to Fyfe....
  22. What excuses were I making? i rightly pointed out that we were garbage. I then gave the opposition credit for playing very well and raised the question on how many other sides they may have beaten on the day. Where was the pathetic excuse in that?
  23. Starting to think Ralph was on the money on this one. They comprehensively smashed us on Saturday and looked far the better side. I think the Dons can easily finish higher than us this year.
  24. We were garbage yesterday, but I reckon the Dons would've beaten a few other sides yesterday. They decided to play the perfect game given their current situation and playing list
  25. Anyone reckon the Dons would've beaten any other sides yesterday?
