  1. Exactly. If by round 4 or 5 he's been poor in the half back position, he either gets dropped to Casey or moved elsewhere. Not 16.75 games late like they did with Fritsch. I didn't think he looked crisp against Adelaide and only got 13 touches. Well below a standard Harmes game. However, he did manage 31 touches against North in rd 23 last year, playing exclusively in defence.
  2. Saints CEO basically confirmed they won't get the money if the game is moved to Marvel. And rightly so. There's talk the game might be moved to Cairns, in which case they'd probably receive a little something.
  3. Have to agree with that.
  4. Very good news. Josh Kennedy looks like he’s back in form, and May did well on him last year.
  5. They need not worry. They’ll still find a way to beat us by under a kick at Bellerive.
  6. Certainly was. It was the highlight of the day.
  7. If he’s not selected Friday night, he’s not playing round 1. And based on yesterday’s performance, he’s not playing round 1. Needs to win back his spot as a half back flanker if he’s to have any future. Probably doesn’t do enough as a forward.
  8. Lockhart would be in serious contention for a game round 1. Another good game as a small defender.
  9. I hope you're right, It just seems that every time we play down there it's a complete disaster. We either lose by 80 + points, or get knocked off after the siren.
  10. Only if clubs start learning how to beat them down at GMHBA stadium.
  11. Does anyone know if May trained this week? I hope he gets up for the Hawks game next week, otherwise round 1 may be in doubt for him.
  12. Putting the Dees aside for a second, I like that he's got the guts (unlike Dal Santo who said the 8 wouldn't change) to declare three changes to the final 8 - and there will be three changes to the 8 if you look at prior years. One of West Coast, Richmond, Collingwood, GWS or Brisbane will miss finals this year. Lock it in.
  13. Did you manage to find out the answer?
  14. I think the Dons were $11.00 to beat us that day. What was even more frustrating was that we knocked off 4th placed GWS to open the season the week before.
  15. Any idea what year that was? Early 80's I'm guessing? That's a little cringe worthy that they sang the song after a loss.
  16. No doubt he had a horrible first quarter giving away frees and turning the ball over. However he did some really nice things after quarter time and will be an asset for Hawthorn.
  17. Frost made mistakes in the first quarter but had a very good final 3 quarters last week IMO, and the Hawks supporters across the forums were more than satisfied with his performance. A good pick up for the Hawks and potentially a bad loss for us if May continues his injury prone stint with us, we get the 2019 version of O Mac and Lever doesn't become the star we were expecting.
  18. Good luck to them. Already off to a poor start dropping a home pre season game to Port despite not a single injury on the list.
  19. I'd love for that to happen, but I'm thinking Petracca and his management would prefer a 2 year extension, as that would take him to free agency.
  20. I agree that Melksham had a poor game by his standards. However he seems to be the sort of players that needs a few hit outs and never really starts the season on fire. He's also been in rehab a little over pre season. Also, when he returned from injury last year, he was less than useless in the his first 2 games back, but then kicked 5 goals over the next 2 games to finish the season. I still think he'll have a good year.
  21. I think he has a groin.
  22. What the? i was pleased with yesterday but I just thought it was worth acknowledging that Adelaide were without Sloane and Laird (2 very high quality players) in the second half after we were trailing at half time. I wasn’t putting a negative spin on yesterday. Just stating the facts. And they also had Walker, Smith and Seedsman out. It’s highly likely we still would’ve won had Sloane and Laird played out the game, as we looked the fitter side.
