  1. How much are flights for this one? $1,500 one way from Melbourne via Helsinki like last September? Will Jetstar again put on an additional $300 one way flight that gets you there 3 hours after the games starts? A 3-4 goal loss is probably the best we can hope for given the depleted side we will taking over for football's toughest assignment behind Geelong at GMHBA stadium.
  2. Hogan missed just the 2 games with a busted collarbone in 2017. I’ll take their word on that one. I hope Melksham’s 4-5 weeks is actually 4-5 weeks.

I understand the club is prioritising AFLX 3 and treating the home and away season as a form of experimentation - hence the 3-5 start to the season.
  4. You know it’s a scoring crisis when barely any losing side scores 80 plus points this year.
  5. Do we pack it in and close the shop for the year, or do we draw inspiration from Richmond who are winning despite their injury crisis.
  6. I’m assuming the only reason he came back on was due to rotations. He couldn’t even jog when on the field. Do we sob it up and concede it’s not our year due to injuries or do we draw inspiration off Richmond who are getting it done despite their injury crisis?
  7. I believe we have a 10-5 record interstate under Goodwin, from round 1 2017 to present. These include our home NT games.
  8. And Willie Rioli's due back this week....
  9. I don't think we're in a luxury of dropping players given our injury crisis. So O Mac and Garlett will survive. Incidentally O Mac could hardly move at the end of the game so is he injured as well? Preuss for Keilty is a straight forward like for like. Lewis surely can't play off a 6 day break in Perth. If they can absolutely assure that Melksham can't do further damage and is at least 70% fit, then you'd think he'll be ok to play. IN - Preuss, ANB Out - Hibberd, Lewis (both injured)
  10. I wouldn't get your hopes up. Not much in that McGovern hit. Fine at worst.
  11. So apparently we’re in a form crisis, but yet we’ve beaten a team who will today beat a flag contender.

We won’t be playing finals. But, if we were to somehow win 2 of the next 4 games (WC, GWS, Adel and Coll) we’d by 5-7 at the bye and right in the thick of it. There are some BOG average teams in the 8 at the moment (Freo, BL, WB) which will give sides outside of the 8 some genuine hope. In reality though, we’ll be lucky to win 1 of the next 4 - perhaps Adelaide in Darwin??
  13. You can excuse Salem as he plays most of his footy the defensive side of the centre. Oliver needs to kick goals to be considered an elite super star mid.
  14. Just realised if Carlton win and we lose we’re on the bottom again. Hopefully neither happen (unless you’re desperate for pick 1)
  15. Suns have rightly been given credit for their start to the season. However, they are 3-4 with a percentage of 76 compared to same round last year (3-4, 81%) when we played them. So a loss here would demonstrate how dramatically we’ve fallen off the cliff. With that being said, we should be winning this one.
  16. ANB for Viney, late change? (No substance to that, just a hunch) Almost 24 hours later and I still can’t make sense of the ANB omission.
  17. Watched the the replay of last week again. Absolutely staggered ANB got dropped. Played a near perfect game by his standards and simply didn’t deserve demotion. But hey, that’s why they get paid the big bucks to nail team selection.
  18. Fritsch should’ve been dropped before ANB. All l saw from Fritsch all day were dropped marks, kicks out on the fall and getting pinged for holding the ball. And last week was one of his better games for the year!! I though a stint in the VFL was in order for him.
  19. GC at full strength aside from Rory Thompson who’s out for the year. We usually play them when they’ve got half a team out. A few per cent off from last week and we probably lose this one.
  20. Tim Smith for Keilty if Smith's available? From a purely output point of view, Smith's game against Richmond was better than Keilty's game against Hawthorn, and they played the exact same role (key forward/second ruck). They may also bring Weideman in for Keilty if they feel 1 VFL game is enough.
  21. I'm hoping to catch up with him for post game bevies. He'll know all the good establishments on Orchard and Cavill.
  22. Any news on Garlett? Hammy (as reported this morning on SEN) or corkie?
  23. Why was Joel brought back onto the ground (JLT 2) when he was grimacing in pain while doing a fitness test along the boundary line in the second qtr. It might not have been captured on film but I saw it at the ground. Goodwin claimed it was due to rotations, however Richmond set a precedent in 2016 by playing 1 or 2 players short in the last quarter of a pre season game V's Port at Etihad and the AFL community were cool and understanding of that. Why didn't we do likewise? The footy club stuffed up and need to own the mistake and ensure it doesn't happen again as Joel has wasted 50 to 75% of what was supposed to be a promising year for him.
  24. I hope it was a corky too, but he was off the ground a fair bit in the last quarter including the final siren. Hopefully Edmund has got this one wrong, but the fact he's gone out of his way to report a hamstring injury is not a great sign.
  25. Garlett has a hamstring issue according to Sam Edmund on SEN. Could be an unfortunate out?
