  1. Playing Preuss in horrid conditions as a forward/resting ruck was an embarrassing call by the selectors. One we were all critical of in the lead up to the game. Why didn't they play T Mac or Brown as our second key forward?
  2. Has to come in this week. Is 10 times the player that Preuss and Smith are who have no business being in the side. T Mac's form has been down this year, but should come in for the last fortnight to try and build some confidence into next year. Plus, he's a professional goal kicker. We have bugger all of that ilk.
  3. Are you suggesting WC will throw tomorrow nights game just so they finish outside the top 4? Its that kind of year.
  4. I chop and change: I want him back when we're playing like a dumpster fire and battling to kick 4 goals a game against bottom 5 garbage sides. I don't want him when we're up and about and look like a half decent side with a bit of forward potency - eg - 100 points V's Collingwood.
  5. He did. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/law-order/brisbanes-rising-star-winner-lewis-taylor-charged-over-alleged-crime-spree/news-story/9f4b80b41aca06b61c199d1709234da3
  6. We're cooked fellas. We can throw the "St Kilda losing two games option" out the window. Eagles missing pretty much their entire midfield tomorrow night including Shuey, Yeo, Sheed and Redden. https://www.afl.com.au/news/498217/decimated-eagles-make-five-forced-changes-but-no-excuses
  7. Kennedy was missing and Oscar knocked Darling out in the first minute. We got lucky that afternoon.
  8. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’re 1-4 with Smith in the side. He needs to go. Hibbo can play on either Findlayson or Riccardi. He’s been smashed by Wallace and Walters recently so try him on a tall. Is Lockhart in the dog house? If not play him on Hill. T Mac to come back in for Preuss. At least he knows how to kick a goal. Wouldn’t mind Hannan back in on the off chance he kicks a couple of goals.
  9. 8 new cases in Queensland. If the AFL had any credibility and consistency they would move the grand final to Adelaide - TODAY! They moved AFL games out of Victoria and NSW because of community transmission.
  10. Good point. I think our record in final round games since 2006 is something like 2-12. I’d imagine our record in second last round games is just as bad.
  11. Saints could easily lose to WC. Although you’d imagine if GWS somehow lose to us, they won’t bother showing up in rd 18 to St Kilda. Bulldogs being scheduled to play Freo in Cairns is a mini bonus. That venue appears to be a bit of a “Bermuda Triangle”.
  12. Lewis should stick to stealing car seat belt buckles.
  13. Great. The heart ache continues for one more week. I assumed that last night we would’ve been put out our misery. GWS got arrogant at selection and will probably have a far stronger side on Saturday.
  14. That “bye” we and Essendon had in round 3 was always going to come back to haunt both of us. Any coincidence that both clubs have stunk up the joint recently. And we haven’t had the luxury that North and Bulldogs have had - playing about 15 straight games in Surfers Paradise.
  15. Looks like the game's over before it started. The wind has to be blowing at less than 2km per hour for us to be any good.
  16. I can't see it happening but hopefully GC put in one of their early season like performances and knock off the Pies. That would help us no end in our pursuit of getting in with 9 wins. It's highly possible that St Kilda loses both games and we make up the required percentage provided our one loss isn't a belting. St Kilda's close win yesterday was almost like a win for us. GWS simply won't lose to Adelaide and the Dogs cant lose to Hawthorn or Freo. Beveridge is too good a coach to allow a slip up of that magnitude. The Dogs winning last night really did reduce our options in getting in with 9 wins.
  17. Agree with this. I can't see literally one AFL coach getting the sack this year because of COVID. Furthermore, Goodwin has won too many games this year to be in the sacking territory. However, if we miss final next year I'd say Goodwin, his assistants and Mahoney will all be gone. Can see a massive overhaul and an admission that Goodwin was a failure of a hiring. 1 finals series out of 5 years is a failure. To suggest otherwise would be akin to putting lipstick on a pig.
  18. Others may differ but I liked this finals win better than the Hawthorn one.
  19. I trust us to win 4 elimination finals in a row....
  20. The fact that we're still fiddling around with our forward line in the 3rd last game of the year tells me we're not a finals side. And playing Gawn and Preuss in the same side in a tropical city makes little sense.
  21. Yep, every result went against us this week. I reckon Dogs will take St Kilda’s spot in the finals. Dogs have a laughable last 2 games while St Kilda have GWS and West Coast.
  22. It seems that literally every result is going against us since our shocking loss to Sydney. Getting what we deserve. The dogs winning absolutely ends any hope of us making the finals with 9 wins.
  23. Congrats and has been a joy to watch this year. Hopefully his 200th won’t be played in a QLD hub.
  24. We could possibly make it with 9 wins if the Saints have a couple of solid losses against quality sides and the Dogs lose tonight. St Kilda are actually vulnerable given their tough run home.
