  1. Those late 2 St Kilda goals were very costly. The only way we’re playing finals is if we can chase down St Kilda’s percentage assuming they lose their last 2 games, and the Dogs lose tonight.
  2. Hawks 19-2. Would be a dream result if this holds up, but doubt it will.
  3. I liked the bit where Slobbo urged us to give L Hodge a call over the next couple of months.
  4. Glad Hibberd’s available.
  5. Is it just me or is scheduling just the one game of footy on a Saturday, and that one game being 1st v 17th is woefully crap scheduling by the AFL.
  6. “Don’t think it was us rising - more the Dees being flat as a tack. I haven’t seen a lower-pressure opposition this season” - some Swans bloke on bigfooty, 5-9-2020
  7. Fritsch will get dropped. What a garbage response after getting disciplined the week before.
  8. Can someone explain to me why Sydney have played absolutely brilliantly against us 2 years in a row, despite being a bottom 4 side with bugger all to play for in both years. We were dog diarrhoea yesterday but I’m giving all the credit to Sydney. They attacked us from minute 1 when they ran down Salem after Petracca stupidly handed him the hot potato. What did Sydney have to gain out of yesterday aside from a bit of pride and the loss of a top 3 draft pick? I don’t get it?
  9. Just checked the weather and it’s going to be just as windy for this game as it was yesterday. Lets hope we can adapt to the conditions for once.
  10. I liked the bit where they had to play at him full forward just to stay out of the way.
  11. I think I've seen that movie before.
  12. A tiny part of me would laugh if these two were responsible for the season being ripped up.
  13. Agreed. Finishing 9th and 10th will give this mob a bit of fire in the belly. At least this year we were motivated enough to jump up the ladder a fair bit which is something to hold our hats on. But as you said, we're too far easily satisfied and get way ahead of ourselves. We can somehow make finals with 9 wins if Saints cop beltings to West Coast and GWS and have a narrow win over Hawthorn, meanwhile we have big wins over Freo and Essendon. And ofcourse Dogs don't beat WC on Sunday. But it's a massive long shot. Last night stuffed our season and confirmed that we're not a finals side. End of story. Unsure whether we can take the next step next year under Goodwin.
  14. As soon as I saw the weather report I knew we’d get done. As soon as there’s a slight breeze we fall to pieces.
  15. Another reason why I can’t take this season seriously (Oh and the minor fact that the length of games are shorter than junior footy) I knew we’d lose one of these two Cairns games because of the scheduling and preparation, and raised this concern in the selections thread. Meanwhile Bulldogs and North are playing about their 15th straight game in Surfers this weekend.
  16. You know you’ve stuffed up selections when O Mac gets sent to full forward just to stay out of the way. Bad night for Sydney to pull out their best performance for the year.
  17. Carbon copy of that Friday night game we played last year. Actually this ones worse
  18. He looked really promising in those two games in Sydney but in the Lions game the week after he just didn't have the intensity for AFL and missed a sitter he'd normally kick in his sleep. Are we confident he'll be on the list next year? He has a 1 year contract right?
  19. Still have nightmares about round 22 last year. Swans have won 14 of the last 17 meetings. Heeney is a massive out for them. The Fritsch comment is interesting. Wasn't he on the verge of re-signing a month ago? Maybe all's not well after last week's incident.
  20. Hell yeah we're jealous. We're jealous of the rest of Australia who can enjoy the basic level of freedom. We can't even cross the street without wearing a mask. We can't even take out our bins after 8pm without getting arrested. Yes. We're jealous, snaky, over it, and fed up with it all.
  21. Touching on the bigger issues. I like it.
  22. That's terrific news.
  23. Grand final to be held at Adelaide Oval as a back up.
  24. How can they lock in a grand final right now when QLD could easily see a spike in cases over the next 2 months?
