  1. Then let's move back to what we had at Junction Oval! I cannot understand those who are satisfied with a public oval for training, a gym shared with multiple other sporting clubs, shared rehab rooms, no lap pool, pokey admin offices a km away, and the list goes on and on... Whilst we have Casey facilities available that are quite good, we should also have a committed home base like every other AFL club I'm amazed with our recent success given the hotch-potch facilities we have. I reckon better facilities helps players get better and contributes towards a culture of elite performance
  2. David Neitz was born in Tasmania.
  3. Kossie is the main worry. The introduction of Tassie will certainly push his price up wherever he plays. I don't believe the chill of Tasmania will affect his decision, he'd move to Brisbane or GC if that were the case The father son/daughter rule might sting us. Russell Robertson, David Neitz, Brad Green, Col Garland and Jeremy Howe all played 100 games for MFC and are from Tassie
  4. Tassie Pinots Tassie Piners Tassie Crays The Oyster Shuckers lutruwita pademelons
  5. Huh? When was he ever going to be a free agent soon? He won't be until this new 4 year deal is up. SEN are hopeless with accuracy
  6. @dazzledavey36 should have some intel on Conner O'Sullivan
  7. How about 4 years for top 10 picks, but with UFA after year 4. Gives both player and club certainty If a bottom club cannot improve and keep a player after 4 years, he should be permitted to leave to the club of his choice, with compo going back
  8. Zane Duursma got 9 touches at Casey. Highlights the difference between boys playing men, regardless of reputation
  9. Mother South Korean, father native American, adopted by missionaries and brought to Australia
  10. How much would you expect a young school kid playing against seasoned men, including many AFL regulars? Personally I'd say he did more than a creditable job
  11. I'll let you know. Thanks for showing interest
  12. Perhaps, Balls. But I just don't see Jesse fitting in well in Melb town anymore. Steven May is multiple AA and has been arguably the best full back in the game for about 4 years. He's earned the right to be demanding of his teamates (not starting fights in French eateries though). What player in the game wouldn't take instruction from a cranky May over cranky Hogan? Hogan has always had patches where he showed immense talent, and he's now showing a little consistency. Good on him. An interesting hypothetical for him to return to the Dees, but I don't see enough positives. Once bitten and all that
  13. Don't bet. A guy can have a dream!
  14. Freo drop to last, we get pick 1 and select Reid. Relax, we got this!
  15. Very good point George. Coupled with the Tassie team coming in around 2025, we like all clubs, will face several years of compromised drafts. Slim pickings from 2025-2028 Few teams will have the opportunities we have this year to top up an already strong list with a strong draft hand Picks around 5, 15, 23 and 33, plus Kynan Brown will indeed be a good draft outcome Yze jnr next year, White jrn the year after
  16. What ever happened to Wiseblood?
  17. Interesting article. I don't want Hogan back at the Dees. He's had his time here and was great to watch early in his career. Wish him well, but not for us or against us. I still see a fair bit of frustration at teamates when the ball is not delivered perfectly. Body language is important to club culture. Happy with JVR and excited for what Jefferson will bring Freo paid over for Hogan and a s*** load for Jackson. Neither is yet to live up to the hype. Thanks Belly
  18. Very true, except that there's an element of value towards them wanting to play together, assuming that is the case. Different circumstances, but the Daicos boys are a good example of this. Genuinely love playing together If jnr VR is good, I reckon we might put added work into him
  19. Comparisons of previous draft pick successes are a folly. Drafts are a case by case, year by year proposition. What happened 5 or 10 years ago is 99.9% irrelevant to this years draft. The key is that Taylor and Lamb are proven experts. What they get done will be the right thing for us, whether it be three x 1st rounders for Reid, or we keep the picks, or something in-between
  20. Wardlaw might debut as well. Those two and LDU should be A+ graders in years to come
  21. Or... who's next to have an inter office affair?
  22. And we snaffled a 2 x AA ruck to replace Dogga for about the same coin as we would've paid him!
  23. I can't believe he's not butter!
