  1. And exactly how would he make it through to Brisbane in the PSD without he and the Bears manipulating the system? ie. Draft tampering But given its the AFL, anything goes if they say so
  2. Not sure why. As much as they don't admit it, their ruck stocks are useless unless NicNat gets on the park, and he's 9/10 shot. I'd even find a F3rd for them to help
  3. Bell loves the drama But as Dogga is OOC and WCE have shown little interest, Freo know they have the upper hand
  4. Freo are trying to force us to take 13 and a future 1st for Jackson. Wouldn't surprise me if they trade out or try to trade out 13 and screw us even further I trust that Lamb and Taylor are speaking with some of Freo's more fancied players to put the heat on Bell Many watchers are saying this draft tapers off significantly after the first 5-6 picks. Hope we can work back into that range

I heard it on SEN at the time and thought it was a clear backhander by Rendel. Was unnecessary and sounded targeted to me, he repeated the comments several times Glass houses, Matt!
  6. If Freo can't find the picks to do the deal do we target one of their players? Realistically, who might that be? Let's leave Brayshaw, Serong and Young out of the mix because that's not going to happen
  7. I don't think Dogga has found his best role (as opposed to position) within the Melbourne side. Is he best competing in the ruck contest, or roving around as a tall, competitive mid or kicking goals deep? We all see his potential and upside, but we don't know how far that will extend. With maturity and experience he will find that role and hopefully become the star that people talk of. That is what we are trading upon, not that he is comparable atm to Grundy, Carey, Dusty or Gawn
  8. To be fair Dazzle, Dogga has been hampered by a knee injury for most of this year and he is still learning at 20. How many other 200cm big men have got to his level this early in their career? Very, very few I think Freo's pitch to play him as a mid next to Darcy in the middle is an amazing possibility for them
  9. Would think it is in WC's best interest to play the trading game and make Freo honestly believe they are a chance. Float the prospect of pick 2 just to get the ball rolling. I think pick 2 on its own would be acceptable. The Sheezle or The Cadillac would be massive long term talents in red and blue. But I cannot see any club with a top 5 pick trading it away, that's where the true talent is in this draft Otherwise I fear Freo will just delay until the last minute and offer us way unders. 13 and their future 1st is pizz poor
  10. Then what do we use for Grundy? Please god not a 1st rounder 🙏 PS. I like the idea of Freo's future 1st, bc I wonder if they might slide back a little and also because of the quality of next years draft

And yet Brisbane's McInerney was toiling away under our nose at Casey, almost a free hit!

The ball moves faster than the players. I'd rather the ball in a slower player's hands with quick vision and decision making than those of Baker any day But I too hoped TB would stay
  13. Wasn't BP at Carlton after us? Lol
  14. Paddy 'Wow', lol!
  15. If his role model is Fabian Francis, North should take the deal and be done with it. Let it be Port's problem His behaviour this year indicates they should've traded #1 last year to Adelaide while they had the chance. Would've been better putting the time and resources into two later first rounders in 2022 rather than a homesick kid with poor attitude from the start
  16. Murphy, Weitering + ? I'm assuming ours includes Jeff White, even though he was originally picked by Freo
  17. Before or after it came out in the media? Even if it was before, likely an optics plan B. ET do you honestly believe the AFL wouldn't want to desperately see this go away? Gil will be totally cacking his dacks now this has gone public and it looks likely to be taken out of his hands Not saying its right or wrong, but the wheels of investigation and action move faster when accusations are made public
  18. I think the families spoke to the media for the simple reason that they feared HFC and the AFL would find a way to cover the allegations up and do very little, which is exactly what they would've done Make it public, demand an independent investigation not funded by the AFL. Hard to cover it up now Gil!
  19. Totally agree. North lost 3 recruiter's mid year who were average anyway, and they have pick 1, possibly 8 and a few players to bring in from other clubs. With Clarko out of the picture, they are a real chance to [censored] this up Going to be a very, very eventful trade period. Jason Taylor and Tim Lamb, please weave your wonderful magic!
  20. Would think that one piece of evidence easily verified is the new sim cards allegedly put into phones. I'm no telco tech but surely they can find records of who issued the cards, location of user (might substantiate use by player), what happened to old sim cards, phone call records and text messages, etc. A lot of data could be mined there aiding the investigation
  21. Any of them know how to fly a plane?

  23. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-10-01/hawthorn-the-afls-iron-grip-authority-is-being-challenged/101493984 Seems like Gil's ability to control everything AFL and write their own outcome is starting to crack
