  1. I agree, but I’m guessing there’s some sort of rule in place that makes it allowable for the monstrosity to remain uncovered.
  2. Yes H did cornrow his hair but the length is the difference. I kind of understand the issue if it’s a braided ponytail that is higher up the head (as opposed to the nape) because that definitely can be dangerous. I once almost knocked a girl out at a bar when I turned to walk away and my thick plait smacked her in the face. 😬 I just think it’s a shame for Westy since it’s a superstition to which she firmly adhered. I told her that a long string of wins might make her feel easier about it. 👍🏽😃 PS pointy topknots LOL 😂
  3. What’s worse is we sit directly across from it so there’s no escaping it. At the very least, when the sun sets and lights go on, they should leave the CFC unlit.
  4. Something I found very interesting… So, last night after the match Eliza W came over and said to me, “Look how I’ve had to wear my hair.” (We’ve discussed hair before - we’ve both got a penchant for braids - and she only ever wears cornrows [thin braids plaited tightly to the scalp] on GameDay, it’s a superstition of hers). Last night she had cornrows but they stopped at her neck and the rest of her hair was in a loose (unbraided) ponytail. I was surprised, then she explained that she isn’t allowed to cornrow her hair all the way because it can be deemed a “weapon.” That got me wondering if this has ever been an issue in the men’s.
  5. Since the *higher-finishing team chooses, you can bet we’ll choose Ikon. We’ve never lost there and the girls love playing there more than anywhere. *getting ahead of myself, I know, but it would take a catastrophe of biblical proportions to see us slip to fourth.
  6. Pres. Kate came and sat with us for the second half. If anyone has any doubt about how invested she is in this team, watch her during a match. She’s as loud and passionate as the rest of us. It was wonderful to see Maxy there, as well as Daisy. We were pleased to see Daisy wasn’t in her Geelong polo. We know where her heart is. ❤️💙
  7. This team is Special, with a capital S. Actually, all capitals… SPECIAL. So unassuming and humble, not a single bighead amongst them. Post-match I said to Goldie, “You guys are killing it! 14 wins in a row, a class above everyone else in the comp!” She replied, “yeah, we’re going ok, aren’t we.” Going ok, she says. Riiiiight 😳 And as fierce and unforgiving as they are on-field, they’re the sweetest people off-field. When you talk to them like we did post-match its hard to believe it’s the same group of girls who just got done mercilessly dismantling yet another opponent. Soooooo proud of them.
  8. Tonight’s result- Kate Hore 4.2.26 def. Geelong 4.1.25 😁
  9. Finally! A night at Mordor where I didn’t die a little on the inside.
  10. You’re right, we should stop throwing rocks. Let’s throw boulders instead. Unrelated (except totally related): are trebuchets still a thing?
  11. Beautiful day in Geelong. Pumped for tonight!!!! GO DEES! ❤️💙
  12. Had to IMDb Eddie Salita but yeah, he should suffice. We’ll tell him to take both of them out. Make it look like an accident. Or a footy act.
  13. Ya luvs you a list, huh Werridee?! 😂 I wouldn’t have Fritta in the top 10, especially not above ANB and Riv.
  14. Andy! Howsabout a heads up next time! Sheesh.
  15. Why can’t we have both? He suffers a narrow loss in the grand final (again), then Dane Zorko falls off the winners’ podium and flattens him (in a footy act) and they’re both knocked out cold. All good though, flowers and wine fixes everything. 👍🏽
  16. I guess that includes Collingwood then. 🤷‍♀️ Just because the “experiment” didn’t work out this year doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be tried again with a different ruckman. After all, it’s amazing how important a role personalities play in such things.
  17. I didn’t know Chris Fagan never played VFL/AFL. Now I’m wondering why I oftentimes heard Brendon Bolton being criticised as a coach because of the fact that he never played at the highest level. I’ve never heard this sort of talk about Fagan.
  18. I looked it up. Clue: he played in the VFA
  19. Not only have they got the wrong person, but they’ve misspelled her name… both her given name AND her surname. 😑
  20. Late change. It was gonna be Campbell out. Apparently Tayla hurt her hammy at training.
  21. He missed almost an entire season a few years ago with a broken foot which came from a mishap after a pre-season training session. The Swans reported that he was playing around with teammates, kicking a toy footy to one another and he landed on uneven ground, rolled his ankle and this action caused a fracture in a small bone in his foot, similar to Fritta’s foot injury.
  22. Very specific here. Very pointed, too. So, if the folks you describe above shouldn’t have an opinion on how a group of young, elite, high performing individuals should spend their first day off, who do you think should have an opinion on such? Also, what happened to the zeitgeist… “everyone’s entitled to their opinion”???
