Not gonna lie, it felt all sorts of wrong weaving yellow and black. Especially since I was doing it on my own, and at one point I looked up and there was about a dozen Toiges standing behind watching me, silently. It was one of those what’s wrong with this picture moments.

I noticed you’d mentioned that, DZ. I was surprised no one reacted. I was expecting mass coronaries to take place.

No showers at Reach, which is why I rocked up in full PPE, gas-mask included. Apparently they’re working on a vaccine and it should be available by ANZAC eve next year, which is great since next year we all go to Punt Road to make the shared banner.

The banner for ANZAC eve will be something to behold! Best I don’t post sneak peek pics, but on one side there’s a line from The Ode of Remembrance. The front of the banner is the pièce de résistance: the ANZAC emblem in the centre with “Lest We Forget” under it. Richmond’s half is a branch covered in wattle and our half is an aeroplane covered in poppies. The wattle and the poppies are huge and all handmade. The 3D effect should look spectacular but that’s never known until such time as it’s seen from afar. I’m guessing it will though. 🙂

Except it’s not all good. Kids shouldn’t have to hear that. At interstate matches there’s usually many Dees fans that aren’t part of the CS but who sit in our bay. If any DA members had heard her swearing or had been told about it she would’ve been told to leave the bay.

Was this at Adelaide Oval? Regardless, I’m sorry your son had to hear that. ☹️ If there is such a person she’s not part of the cheer squad, even if she was in our bay. Foul language is banned. Microphones in the goalposts mean that hefty fines can be issued by the AFL. Besides, she’d be told to cut it out immediately if she was a DA member.

Now Fists of Fury is a great defender… and he’s all ours. Can’t wait to see him put those fists to work on Monday!

I know, DD. Besides, they’re at ours to make a shared ANZAC banner so there was a real sense of unity. Yes, there were some rough looking folk tonight but there’s rough looking folk in every cheer squad except ours and they seemed quite nice.

Welp. I’m about to dive headlong into the fray. A door and a flight of stairs is all that separates me from the arch nemesis aka the Richmond cheer squad. Wish me luck fellow Demonlanders.
