I know that calling in for a membership renewal is not modern practice but I like to do it this way, the way I used to be able to do. When I do so these days I'm not getting the MFC but something less personal from poorly trained phone people. Could be offshore for all I know. And a very long wait time, every time. For three years. There have been multiple screw ups in me trying to join up and including my 3 grand kids three years in a row now - getting their names wrong, sending half a membership package, promising to make it up to them with a signed photo which never arrived - and so I've pulled out, sorry to say. What a schemozzle! My heart has beaten true from the day I could see the Dees in black and white newsprint and in grainy photos in the late fifties. Now my disappointment with the modern systems has led me to the only possible decision : 1.drop the three junior memberships altogether 2. cancel my own. My first membership card which was punched at the gate for nearly every game in 1964 has disappeared. What great memorabilia it was. (At 1/6d for 18 games this worked out at just over one guinea. About $2.70.) I don't intend to join up for a while but will remain a committed, dedicated, die-hard barracker from now on as compared to being a supporter. Good luck to all and Go Dees!!

Not sure what the group he belongs to is called but I know a short while ago they had a lunch which Goodwin was at and they were highly critical of his coaching methods in re of a static forward structure and no Plan B. Also said they are missing Darren Burgess who went to SA last year and this goes a long way to explaining our second half fade-outs.

Is there some way to get a download of the weekly results from the AFL tipping page? Is it possible to do this? I would like to print them up and put them on the wall at our local club so people can stand around and talk about the weekly results rather than refer to the phone. We feel it is a more social and friendly way of keeping up with the results.

Old Dee and JG share the gripes of many of us. The ticketing system is deplorable in so many ways ; bar code reads and seating for example. This discourages me from trying to bring mates along to a game because I just can't face the challenge of finding a ticket. And then a seat. Why does the ticket cartel duopoly get service charges anyway on top of the ticket itself? If anything any of these shonky charges should go to the clubs who are putting on the entertainment. Of course spectators are staying away. And for goodness sake can they just TURN DOWN THE EXCESSIVELY LOUD 'MUSIC'?!!!

Ant highlight reel of players would have to include Liam Jurrah for mine. He was a prince.

There are some very ordinary players on the first two lists : eg Cameron with Bate and Miller on the HF Line eg Pedders with a Centre Line of Blease, Mckenzie and Bail.

It's a bit cruel toying with the opposition like a cat plays with a mouse, so to be kind we shouldn't let other teams get in front and think they can win bfeore mowing them down and breaking their spirit.

There was a game at the G in the 80s or early 90s when Richmond conceded a fifty metre penalty before the bounce and we goaled from the free. Then they did it again as soon as the ball got back to the centre and we scored another goal from the subsequent free.. They were 2 goals down and the ball hadn't been bounced yet! Steve O'Dwyer was in the ruck that day.

If the Choco Conspiracy Theory is real - and I'm not saying it's not - then security must sweep all training venues for snipers now that Goody and OOze have taken a bait and survived.
