Goodwin pointed out (rightly imo opinion) that we were a much better defensive effort over the second half. So I thought I'd have a look at last years second halves of games by Geelong and how many goals they scored.... It goes like this: 7, 10, 11, 15, 11, 6, 8, 10, 8, 5, 4, 8, 6, 4, 10, 7, 6, 9, 3, 3, 4, 9 The lowest for the year were 3 against Sydney who were on fire and Richmond on the march at the end of the year They scored 4 against Adelaide (x2), GWS, and Collingwood In those games they STILL went 3 wins, 2 losses and a draw! In the finals it went like this: 3 (loss to Richmond), 6 (beat Sydney), 5 ( loss to Adelaide) WE ONLY CONCEDED 2 GOALS TO A TOP 4 POSSIBLY TOP 2 TEAM IN THE SECOND HALF!! Maybe we were a bit rusty. It's not all doom and gloom. We can be a very good defensive side. Stick with them!!
