  1. I wouldn't worry about that one. He has another year to go on his contract and his best friend at the club (CP5) is signed until 2029. I see him as a one club player.
  2. If anyones interested in training loads at other clubs, I found Nathan Buckley talking about Geelong's effort against West Coast this morning. If they are doing it, we are doing it. Did heavy training block lead to flat Cats display? Buckley: “I’ve gone with a bit of a theme today and that is largely around post-match interviews and what players and coaches might be alluding to a little bit. “The first one was after Geelong’s win against West Coast, a much-improved performance from West Coast, but Geelong I thought looked a little bit flat and Joel (Selwood) spoke about a heavy training block after the game.” Selwood: “We did train a little bit different. We trained heavy. We’ve got a big month coming up so there’s a little bit of planning towards that but also staying in the moment.” Buckley: “That actually sounds like it’s a heavy training block, like a month training block. “I reckon they trained heavy over the bye, and you’ll see sides be flat from that for one week then they’ll pop even the next week. “And Chris Scott spoke about it as well, it’s not abnormal.” https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/06/19/the-buck-stops-here-buckleys-five-takeaways-from-round-14/
  3. Ricky Two Firsts is one of our better players overall without a doubt. He has had a rough start to the year rolling his ankle 3 times and still played games plus other niggles. There is no doubt the defense hasn't been doing what it did last year and the rest of the team are not helping him with our pressure dropping right off this year. No Steven May for 3 games and Petty coming on and off again also doesn't help. It's a team sport and everyone needs to do their part for people to shine in their roles. We'll all be praising him by the end of the year.
  4. I'm surprised anyone thinks a club can/could/should stop a player from enjoying their allocated time off, legally. As long as you ain't assaulting anybody this time, play on who cares.
  5. Much like Olivers game against Adelaide last year.
  6. I'm still not worried. We have banked wins and have time to fix our forward entry method.

  9. I know of a few... Max Gawn owns East End Wine Bar: https://eastendwinebar.com/ James Harmes owns Fat Nutt Customs: https://fatnutt.com/ Jack Watts owns Skwosh: www.skwosh.com.au The most successful is probably Thomas Bugg with his "Zooz" Influencer marketing business: https://www.zooz.com.au/ Dom Tyson owns Clutch & Co with his brothers: https://www.clutchandco.com.au/ Joel Macdonald, Rowan Bail and James Strauss started LiquorRun, an alcohol delivery start up business but I don't think it exists anymore. Matt Jones and Max Gawn had a furniture business called Max Jones Co but it may have been a joke. And Bayley Fritsch is a sparky:
  10. Here is the Langdon boys website for coffee. You can order from the website https://laydaycoffee.com/ Great interview from Goodwin there, explained what happened very well.
  11. I was replying to his question about who else might retire at the end of the season.
  12. Mitch Brown and Magak Daw
  13. We played an ok first half and was able to keep Freo to only 2 goals. We had a really good patch and kicked a few goals. We lost our most important player to our structure and throughout the game quite a few players looked no where near 100% fit. In the second half Freo's elite kicking chopped us up. We kicked 1.6 in the second half. Some really perplexing positioning choices, which shows we were short and unbalanced on the ground personal wise which Freo exploited. I've never been this non-bothered by a loss ever in my life though.
  14. I love that Ben Brown gets his 150 against his old team. Will be so nice to watch him kick more goals than their entire side. Happy with Melksham as the in, Dunstan a bit stiff.
  15. So basically whenever the media say a club has a "war chest" ready at trade time, they mean the club has banked two years worth of 5%?
  16. I carried on at the Essendon game too... waved and yelled goodbye, see ya laaaaater to their supporters leaving during the last quarter from level 2 😂
  17. I believe clubs have to pay at least 90% of the salary cap every year to their players as a minimum. I'm actually not sure where I heard this, or if it is even correct. Would you happen to know?
  18. Watching the way we run as a unit at the games is a sight to behold
  19. I couldn't help but look this up, and funnily enough their most contested marks each happened in the same game. Max Gawn - Most contested possessions 20 - Round 23 2019 Vs North Melbourne Clayton Oliver - Most contested possessions 27 - Round 10 2021 Vs Adelaide Max Gawn - Most contested marks - 8 - Round 5 vs Hawthorn 2021 Clayton Oliver - Most contested marks - 2 - Round 5 vs Hawthorn 2021 and Round 10 2021 Vs Adelaide
  20. The difference is ANB has the runs on the board where Smith Doesn't yet.
  21. He looked clearly a step above everyone else on the field when the ball was near him
  22. It was confirmed by Max Gawn
  23. It was between Dunstan and Milkshake to come in for Viney so he wasn't far off.
  24. 100%, Smith is the weakest link of our side. He cost the team at least two goals directly from his actions (one a direct handball, the other running off Reiwoldt whilst it was being kicked to him) Whilst he is an absolute beast of an athlete, he just doesn't have the footy IQ. He is consistently in the wrong spots in defence and May has to direct him where to go all of the time. With Tomlinson, we don't have that problem, ever. OUT: Dunstan, Smith IN: Viney, Lever
  25. It's fun if you like contest and defence. I find watching teams struggling to kick scores against us particularly entertaining.
