Love this, lets make it a thing -

I back this, I came here to comment about asking Angus Brayshaw and see if he wants it

I have full faith the club will cover every way they can to do this. Ultimately Burgo's kids live in Adelaide and family comes first. I'm not worried at all about IP because the gameplan can only be executed with full buy-in, hard pressure and effort. Every coach knows what we do, we have done it every game this year so there is no secret recipe to it really. Enjoy the flag, don't waste your time worrying about this as what will be will be.

When people ask me how many flags I think this team can win..
-
I can die happy now but I still want more flags

Is This The Greatest Melbourne Team Ever?
FritschyBusiness replied to Bobby McKenzie's topic in Melbourne Demons
With all due respect, I think it's impossible and almost unfair to compare this team with teams from the 50's and 60s because of the level of athlete these current players are and the standards they currently play at. A big difference is the teams and players are doing it nowadays as their full time job. The advances made in the game, the talent, sports science, training standards and athleticism has improved to an unfathomable level in all sports in the last 60-70 years. In all honestly, I don't think we've seen the peak yet. I think this team finally clicked in the finals and can hold this run for another 3-5 more years -
When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?

TRAINING: Friday 24th September 2021 @ Optus Stadium
FritschyBusiness replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
man Dermott Brereton is a spud. Talks about stiff Melksham is to not be in the team and says how well he played in rounds 16-17-18 including the draw against hawthorn. All games Melksham didn't play 🤣- 58 replies

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
FritschyBusiness replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
most players don't sit around reading afl articles like fans -
This could work, almost like a defenders supercoach competition. Each stat gives points, for example intercept marks are worth more than spoils. Alternatively, there could be a 321 system just for defenders voted by the coaches along with their award. I'd call Steven May a true defender

He was, he has umpired now 9 of the last 10 grand finals inc this coming Saturday. Decent result with the umpires. Rosebury and Stevic are decent, Mollison I haven't noticed much so that's probably a good thing. Would have liked Razor but he wasn't going to be on the cards after being a reserve prelim week.
-
He umpired the first two weeks and was emergency last weekend. However I would say the 3 umpires this weekend would come from the 6 that umpired last weekend.
-
I can't see anyone at the dogs stopping him on Saturday
-
Happens to every club when you get this good. Decent players get squeezed out and hes probably only got 2-3 years left tops
-
I'm very much against it. What makes it special is its scarcity. If you wanna give everyone at the club a ring or a watch for being involved in the season, sure go for it. But let's say something is created or they decide whole squad gets a premiership medallion, would the AFL then go and retrospectively hand out medals? The amount of medals would be farcical.

I wonder what position Angus Brayshaw would have played this year if we had got Isaac Smith.
