POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
I realise that, so that is why Iām asking the question.

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
Any word on Steven May?? Is he ok? If concussed, is he out for 2 weeks under new rules?? Thatās all I care about. We would have been lost without him.

GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
The game plan is non existent. Goodwin has had years to correct his deficiencies. This is putrid. Should be 10 goals down

Training Ground?
Then just announce it. There is nothing wrong with that precinct. We can stretch the ground , as a I understand it, as it isnāt marked as green-space. There is room for an adjacent facility. Just get it done

Training Ground?
What hand is that?

Training Ground?
Has it? I knew it shut down and then reopened. Perfect opportunity to buy the pub too then haha. Thereās your social club ?

TEAM SELECTION: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
It may have been a main group training. Do they usually train a day before a match? I wouldnāt have thought so. Iām just going by Oliverās Instagram feed

TEAM SELECTION: Practice Match vs Bulldogs
Oliver just posted a photo of himself at Goschās Paddock from this morning. He was clearly training with the leftover group of players. I accept that he is being managed.

Training Ground?
What about Brunswick St Oval then? Surrounded by a park and a Bowls Club. City of Yarra seem to have embraced the development of Victoria Park

Training Ground?
The board should look at Toorak Park. Right next to a train station in Demon Heartland. Iāve seen people bemoan the fact there is no parking there, but there is just as much around that precinct as there is at Victoria Park and Moorabbin. Several years ago the Dees experimented with midweek training nights there and it was a huge success. Its redevelopment would benefit the community and could be used by Prahran juniors and womenās teams. These are the things that underpin the likelihood of government funding. Also, there is a great pub next to the ground.

Who gets to go to Round 1?
Anyone know what the procedure will be for MCC members

AFLW: Rd 05 vs Collingwood
This performance was pathetic. The worst weāve played ever in AFLW. There is a lack of skill and class at both ends of the ground. The midfield is weak. Itās pretty sad to see how this team has deteriorated.

AFLW: Rd 05 vs Collingwood
Goldie has played on every time she has marked. Itās not Gaelic. Someone get out to her

AFLW: Rd 05 vs Collingwood
Doggies last week and Pies today just play long direct football. We play short sideways garbage that is so laborious.
-
AFLW: Rd 05 vs Collingwood
The decision to axe all our experience in favour for unskilled irish recruits has bitten us in the [censored].
-
AFLW: Rd 04 vs Western Bulldogs
The Dogs kicked long and got a lot of goals when the ball went to the back of the pack. They had a player at the back and really just played smart, direct football. Meanwhile, we tried to short pass and handball our way through traffic, which resulted in messy play, poor forward delivery and general chaos. Poor kicking at goal hurt us, but the indirect play and general lack of skill killed us. as others have remarked, Cunningham has become a liability. Doesnāt hold her marks. Canāt kick the set shots and is basically useless at ground level. They need to rethink the FF position.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
Read somewhere that he had signed on with some local footy club. Not that it compares to AFL level training, but itās not as if he sat on his bum since North delisted him. He looks like a man that keeps himself in good shape

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
Donāt know why so many posters here are negative about this idea. The more Iāve thought about it, the more it makes sense. Majakās key strength is taking contest marks from long high balls into packs. Thatās the Goodwin game plan. Itās been our our weakness for years. We donāt have a big bloke at FF capable of taking pack grabs. Isnāt that what weāve been asking for? Thatās essentially Dawās bread and butter. Unlike BBB, who is nailed to the train tracks and is a true lead up forward. WIth the likes of Viney and Brayshaw and Oliver bursting out of the middle and with an inability to lower eyes and hit a lead up forward, we can bomb long to a bloke who is tough to match up on, reads the ball well in flight and clunks big marks in packs. It just makes sense to me. All this works on the presumption tht he is dedicated enough to meet the demands of AFL, has a clear mind and avoids injury. However, he has some serious upside and suits our game plan of the last 5 years. This highlights package shows his skill set pretty well

Round 1 Saturday March 20th 2021 Attendance
The MCG, if unable to cater for large crowds, should consider utilising the car park and setting up big screens outside the stadium for the fans, in Yarra Park. They have done similar with the cricket and I think it should be considered in 2021. I know tht winter offers up some problems weather wise, but a lot of paid up members, both MFC and MCC will miss out on tickets to bigger matches if there is a 50% crowd capacity. The same applies to other clubs. Just a thought

Minor Procedure For Viney (Foot)
Can just see this being a bigger issue. Soon enough we will hear he wonāt do a pre season match. Then he will miss the first month of the season. Then itāll be mid year. I sincerely hope Iām wrong, but we have seen this movie before

Casey redevelopment
Melbourne City is owned by Man City and I didnāt mention Barcelona. The point was made by another poster that Man City āhave no fansā and therefore pose no threat to the MFC in the Casey area. I am simply making the point that others have made here - with the big money from City Football Group, we are gonna have a hard time competing for youth support in the south east. To think otherwise is simply ignorant. Immigrants that populate these areas are soccer fans. Itāll be a much easier connection than we offer. Anyway, the argument is going nowhere. Casey is a dump and we should get out of there ASAP. Players hate it. Majority of fans dislike it. We arenāt growing fans out there. Move on
-
Casey redevelopment
I guess itās like how people say the MFC have no fans. When you start looking at the stats, you realise the reality. Anyway, this isnāt about City, but rather Soccer vs AFL. Thatās the argument. Iāll let you chew the EPL attendance stats overs

Casey redevelopment
As a school teacher, Iād have to disagree with you. Iāve worked in primary schools where soccer is king and others where itās pure Aussie Rules. This is usually geographically dictated. City have plenty of supporters worldwide. Money talks and ....well you know the rest. we donāt have any real cash and will be competing against oil money who want Melb City to succeed
-
Casey redevelopment
. Given the choice between Soccer and Aussie Rules, competing with the might of City Football Group, you really think we will make inroads? What inroads have we made in the 10 years weāve been there? Give me the figures? Any migrant Casey kids playing for the MFC? Aguero Vs Gawn.....good luck winning that one
