GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
May to repay the faith with a B.O.G. performance....then goes down late in the last quarter with a Hammy or Quad injury after running himself into the ground We win by 2 goals, but our defensive structure is majorly compromised for the remainder of season. The last 3 weeks my MFCSS is back in full swing. Go Demons, regain your mojo!!

De Goey is the New Story
Why defend the meathead. He has come back at Social Media saying it is a witch-hunt. He now says he has mental health issues and tried to put off his masquerades into the i recently discovered i have ADHD category....This is an utter insult to anyone with mental health issues or ADHD, let alone the fairly obvious disrespect of women that seems to "gravitate" towards him. He is a young man that by now should know much better. I wonder what the women's teams think about it? How about teammates wives? How about all the sponsors? How about most of the decent blokes out there not doing this dumb sort of stuff?. You can add to all that with the fact that Collingwood don't trust him to answer questions from the Media as he just does not quite "get it". And despite all that he will still get his 800K a year with a bunch of teams. Just maybe not Collingwood now, this is far from his first slip up, He does not deserve sympathy, it is all manifested by himself.

2022 Injury List
Time to switch the script from being the hunted to being the hunters. We have been way too accommodating lately playing a slow predictable brand. Manic pressure, a constantly moving forward line and we should still win enough games to play finals. The switch needs to get flicked on with this mob, we can't cruise to finals without playing a finals type brand in regular season games now. Needs to be a lift from the entire team....Don't let this opportunity slip Demons!

The Road Back to Success -June 2022
Switch Neal Bullen into Boweys role at half back....He is not kicking goals and would be more damaging there. Switch Bowey to half forward....we need a link in the chain, he would be more damaging there. Play Bedford for run of weeks. He probably deserved the spot more than Spargo or ANB lately. He at least looks like he wants to have a ping within range. He is only one i seen recently with a great run from behind tackle. Too many players getting picked on GF deeds of last year, selection needs to be earned. Iffy selections are screwing us....We have Langdon out, with Baker in reasonably good form at Casey and end up putting Spargo on a wing. We have our defenders patched together, ie injured or beaten up and they put emergency small forwards as replacements. Our game style/plan has sorta gone out the window....In the first 10 weeks we found many different ways to win and overcome adversity. Now teams are just waltzing it to the wing or further before we have any sort of defensive accountability....Everyone is falling back but there is no real pressure on the ball carrier. We have made all 3 teams look good in this regard, too little pressure means they execute their skills. On the upside we have shown 3 possible opponents in finals nothing of our tenacious game style.... If they think we'll dish up these type performances come finals, we will lull them into false sense of security. A lot needs to change if we are to challenge again this year. We need team performances where everyone plays their roles....lately too much is left to too few, our bottom 6 is hard to pick when there are a dozen or so vying for it. Our opposition has been far hungrier. We sit 2nd on the ladder. The season has a fair bit to play out yet....Surely it is an upward curve from here!!

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Last 2 weeks Turner has looked outstanding in the VFL...actually looks a bit like a May clone,...Sure hands in marking, outbodies opponents, great spoil when behind. I would be swapping Tomlinson for him this week. Deserves a chance sooner rather than later imo...you can't have enough good big guys. He is a very neat disposal of the ball also, definitely one to keep an eye on! Looks ready.

22-0 or 21-1
22-0 Considering i backed them to go undefeated @ $51 Figured we had enough "learnings" in previous years!

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Interesting reading through this thread. Goody has a habit of picking like for like type players firstly, ie role players playing the same or similar role. Smith has been pretty good each week and no way he will get dropped, nor does he in any way deserve to. Ben Brown should bean automatic inclusion. He makes our team better and is a "proven" goal kicker. He is not simply stuck in the FF role and gets around the ground. Could he play Tom Mac's role better than he is currently? Easy yes from me. Tmac for BB is easy enough selection. When BB is up the ground we have either Fritta or Weid operating in the forward 50 as the deep forward options. Weideman could not be dropped after performance like that. Has to be picked in the side. If Lever is actually fit it would come down to Tomlinson/Hunt or even Rivers to get dropped. I think Tomlinson will be the unlucky one to go. Hunt had a shocker in round 2 but was solid last week. Rivers has been on ok, as has Tomlinson so far but structurally our backline operates better with Lever in it. Tmac for BB, Tomlinson for Lever. Selection will get tougher in future weeks when Petty and Salem are available. We are unlikely to be so blessed with lack of injuries as we were in 2021. Players will have to get dropped for lack of form at times this year...We can't simply go with our Grand Final team if they are not performing for long periods.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
If it is true he is on 625k contract....i presumed 600-650k. His current offer would be well below that! i cannot see MFC wanting to pay him more than Langdon, who is far more important to our future success in my eyes.. So somewhere between 400-450k is what i would be offering....200k drop....He will be looking elsewhere at 550-600K a season i reckon. Rivers may be a much better player than him in the same position. If it comes down to keeping Oliver and paying him close to a million a year, something has to give! Then there is Jackson, who is also super important to our future success. Gut feel is we will lose Brayshaw.
- Extended contract for Simon Goodwin?

It is time BT is pensioned off
Used to laugh watching The Muppets....unfortunately BT is one of them! He goes off on tangents way too often and talks about irrelevant material that is not even about the game at hand. Surely there is better out there?! Robbo has 100x the brains of what BT does, we are badly let down by some of these clowns in the media.....Makes our game seem very amateur-ish at times. It is not like these guys are teaching people anything about the game....Are they trying to appeal to a new audience, football lovers, or just giving tokenistic ex footy players jobs for way too long? There is very little professionalism going on with some of these ex-footy players. BT/Robbo/Cameron Lings of the world would be far better suited doing something that used less brains/words....And yet some of these muppets get cemented in their jobs. There are obviously no KPI's in being a commentator these days. I really don't get it....Does Gil listen ever? He seems like smart guy!

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Oliver had the best highlights reel i have seen...from ANY player in the drafts since we started seeing video footage of their TAC years. Would imagine Roos/Taylor and anyone else with half a brain would have been all over him. Quickest hands in the AFL. Wonder what we are doing with pick 17...it sounds like we tried to shop it around to move further up the order. Has been a really quiet trade period!
-
AFL Trade Period
Hard to put a value on him....Was Best and Fairest 2020, missed 2021....You would really want to know that he is on top of his back issues and would be able to play to a high level still. Have a feeling Hawthorn would want a 1st rounder for him on past deeds.
-
AFL Trade Period
Can't believe Rory Lobb would be on 700K as suggested on trade shows last night....Massive overs for a player who has never shown more than bits and pieces.
-
Kade Chandler
Mitch Brown was renewed for another year wasn't he?
-
Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Kossie we also got a lot of game time into his 1st year. I reckon we have been really savvy in this area.
-
Kade Chandler
Wondering what Chandler would be worth....pick 30ish?
-
Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Pick 17 turns into? Got the feeling we will not be taking it to the draft......We aint finished yet! <3 our recruiting team....They know how to make things happen.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Welcome aboard Luke! Hope the rest of your career is stellar in Red and Blue! You will be valued with a fresh slate. Work hard, earn your teammates trust by training your ar$e off like never before. Backing you to thrive in our 'system" . May you win many Premierships! Best of Luck!
-
Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
He will be a great addition. I think now we have won a premiership many are over-rating our current list and the fact that we had vitually zero injuries to best 22 players. Harmes, Sparrow, Spargo, ANB, Brayshaw, JJ, Tomlinson, Petty all got hammered on this site at various stages. This is a guy who would push Harmes, Sparrow and JJ for a spot round 1 and will add some oomph. An injury to Oliver, Petracca or Viney and our depth would be tested with no VDB/Jones. Would be a great pick up....would play many Senior games for us. To those saying they don't want him replacing a Sparrow/Harmes / JJ.....I Get it....But ultimately they can still develop at Casey and form will dictate where they play. To have strong list we need pressure on all positions of the ground. Hopefully we have a lot of hungry players next year that are wanting more success!

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Just saw on trade week they put up his stats this season compared to Ollie Wines on an average basis.....they compared really well. Saints are mad to get rid of him!
-
Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Round 11.... 3 votes. Round 13.....2 votes. Round 15.....3 votes. Round 16.....1 vote. Round 17.....2 votes. We are not likely to ever be blessed again with so few injuries. Watched most of the Saints game this year and he was great when he came into team at round 11 after banging the door down in the 2nds. He could play a role at Melbourne in amongst a much better system/better quality of players. A much better version of VDB/Jones and would be really pushing Sparrow/Harmes/JJ to perform. Would be an astute pick up, who would not cost a fortune and is still improving. It's a yes from me....We have great development coaching now, he will thrive in a much healthier environment, fits our age demographic really well. We will no doubt be adding few younger prospects. We are team in the window for more Premierships, he will only strengthen our list imo.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
26 is the new 35? 26 is young, would fit our list demographics perfectly.....We should get rid of Salem/Petracca/Oliver/Brayshaw, they are all approaching the dreaded 26. May, Lever,Gawn should be delisted immediately, way too old by your reckoning :P

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURS
Knew Dunstan was on the outer for much of last year.....He finally got a crack in the Seniors, was B.O.G. in a few of them after some great form in the 2's. Saints had a pretty average year, for them to pigeon-hole a bloke that puts his heart and soul into it every time he plays it is only going to diminish their prospects. Guy has a heap to prove and wants to be part of a winning culture and valued by his team/coaches. Would be a great fit for us imo, is still improving as a player, will not cost a fortune and will have a point to prove. All for this one coming to us....He would look much better in Melbourne colours!
-
Adam Cerra
He would already get less $ from Melbourne than Carlton.....Freo will definitely not be paying ANY part of his new wages lol.
