VFL GRAND FINAL - CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS

Spencer wasn't given an extension on his ability, he was given one out of necessity, if Gawn was to go down. Neither of the Kings were and are not ready. -
THE MOST AWESOME POST MATCH THREAD EVER!!!

Watching the replay now and can't be bothered going through 25 pages of justified elation so it may have been already raised ...but can't believe Watts wasn't listed in the best in the papers. Bloke was absolutely immense in the second half on top of his 2 goals in the first. Feels good to be alive this weekend! Well done boys! -
Hawthorn played in Brisbane last week.

Was lucky enough to play a couple of seasons with Balls as East Burwood. Ripper bloke. -
I understand there are possibly underlying personal reasons for Jesse being afforded trips home to Perth periodically, however would other WA born players (any interstate players) on our list be granted the same if they requested it? Full credit to the club for managing Jesse to the best of their ability in order to keep him happy, but is it potentially to the detriment of other players? I honestly don't know and it is a genuine question on my behalf. We need to retain him, but I hope it's not egg shell stuff going on....the tail should not be wagging this new dog!

How much football have Demonland members played?

168 Games with East Burwood in the Eastern Football League. -
I was forced to watch the game on television, so couldnt see who was picking up Reiwoldt in the first half. It wasnt Lamumba was it? He seemed to be closest player to him (bloody 20 metres away) when he got the ball on a lot of occasions!
-
What the [censored] is Lamumba doing out there aside from guarding fresh air??

Time for Harmes to have a spell at Casey

Over using the bloody ball, cant get clean hands off the deck and we look slow!!!

Have seen all 3 wins this year and planned on attending today. Unfortunately ive got 2 sick girls at home and the missus is working... Hope the crowd picks up and the boys keep the momentum going! Go you Demons!!

I wont be watching...but can someone please keep a tally of how many times he uses the word "obviously".
-
He said in the pre game that many rate St Kilda ahead of Melbourne....for which he disagreed. Was a pleasant surprise...

Just called Jones, Nathan Brown. Its comical...

Shocking commentator. Senile.

"We take the best available" mumbo jumbo from Taylor aside...surely tactics are involved in who we take at 3 to ensure we get who we want at 7. It's possible the club may well be prioritizing the combined value of 3 and 7 overall rather than putting all their eggs in pick 3's basket. Maybe they believe by taking Parish at 3 they miss their number 7 target? Is the combined value of Oliver and player X at 7 better than who they might end up with at 7 if they take Parish? Who knows. Cant wait for draft night!

The club clearly see the importance of rapid on field improvement. The fact they traded out next year's first round pick for an extra selection this year proves this. Its highly likely they will go with an Oliver type at pick 3. He has a body size thats ready to go and by the looks, will play next year if selected. I honestly cant see Parish being AFL ready for at least 2 to 3 years.
