harmes found some run going forward atTakes Vineys role.

Pickett is a natural rover of the ball at stoppages and throw ins. As is langdon but we need him on the wing.

The Best Midfield in the AFL ???
Half forward flank replied to Cranky Franky's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ours is blue collar -
Yeah, and some usual suspects on here thought it was a great get.

My belief as well and it is what sucks us all in everytime. Individual performances by players playing as individuals. It is a team with quite a lot of goodish players but not a good team. Something about the mix is not right. Brayshaw and Viney got to the top by getting the ball at everyonelse expense. never a thought to being a link in a team. Honestly how many players are non tradeable?

I am not being overly defeatist but if we fail to make it this year success in 2021 is in serious doubt without significant change. If we are stuck with Goody someone needs to get in his ear, maybe someone not even connected to the Club. Someone with life experience he will listen to. There are certain players that need to move on and will destroy this coach and the next. Some are reasonable footballers in their own right but not a fit for our team. Nothing will change with them.

Yeah, timely call. Jones getting to 300 is irrelevant to me. He was a respected opponent of many of the great midfielders for a decade. I hope he calls it time in the net few days Proud career with MFC. Might have been a better player in another side.
-
Just when you think it could not get any worse. The Goody itch and scratch has extended to his right arm and head.

Respect to this Post. Agree on all points.

In keeping with your sarcastic humour, you are a card, you should be.........

Are We The Mentally Weakest Side Ever?
Half forward flank replied to WERRIDEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
Completely unfashionable but ability to kick a flat punt from around 20 out with a strong wind would not hurt. -
Under fifteens we played the top side and lost by 30 plus goals. i was full forward. Ball never came down. I got dropped, lol.

Are We The Mentally Weakest Side Ever?

It is a curious mix of lack of skills and players with skills wasting them when they have the oppotunity to display them. -

Langdon best. Worked to genuine exhauastion. By next year he will become a Melb type player.
-
Not saying you shouldnt but it was the length of time he kept the seperate huddles at the most important huddle of the season. And perhaps you can explain how the three works when may was in the backs huddle and Goody moves him to the forward line like dozens of other moves of players who werent in the huddle that the play in the following quarter. Finally could you explain why Longmuir had them in a group huddle and which one worked. Goodys or Longmuir 3 quarter time plan of adressing the players.
-
How so
-
Three quarter time Swans in a tight huddle listening to the coach Dees in three ridiculous huddles.
-
I do not disagree but think one has to be traded, for mine Brayshaw, and Viney forward.
-
Anyone who has played deep forward in a team performance like today would cut Weid some slack today.
-
Absolutely, he is your classic old second rover who spends most of the time in the pocket. On the old terminolgy i would try kozzie as a rover at times.
-
Perfect example was Two hard attacks on the footy all to give away a free to start the second half. Goes for balls that are not his to go for. Interesting one time we roved to Gawn properly. Langdon on the wing at a ball up. Beautiful roving, just got caught.
-
Lever s influence for his output is toxic.
-
Looks like there is a little team of the cool kids within the team.

I pointed that out last week. Stunned he didnt do it again even if it was just to stop Jines sulking on the bench and showing a terrible example to the younger players.
