Bailey Humphrey
Pretty sure not. He is only relatively recent at GC isn’t he?

Ivan Soldo
How does Ivan Doldo get his own bloody thread on this forum… No thanks.

And I can absolutely 100% see MFC being appeased (perhaps not some supporters though) come the end of the trade period with a package comprising of draft picks. That doesn’t mean BH isn’t option A for us though.

Nobody knows the answer on this until it happens/ doesn’t happen but I would put my house on it GC is confident they could get a deal done for Trac with draft picks if this happens

GC would back themselves to get Petracca with draft picks (and I think they will) if BH went elsewhere or didn’t leave at all (which sounds likely) McKenzie wouldn’t necessarily need to go to GC, Hawks could trade him for collateral Hawks have enough to get BH done if it came up.

Not sounding good on the BH front. Craig Cameron saying they won’t trade him but he sounds genuine. It doesn’t sound like a tactic. But also has given BH a few whacks in the chat. Just called him ‘impetuous’!!

Top 10 pick this year, 1st rounder next year, 2nd rounder this year and next. Offload Cam McKenzie if necessary. More than enough to get it done if they want. What they have in stock for the Merrett trade can just be shifted to GC for BH if they really wanted him.

Maybe it’s just my MFCSS kicking in but I worry Humphrey gets seduced by the Dorks in coming days and selects them as his preferred trade destination. Hawks have the assets to trade for him and would make it happen. The only silver lining for us is GC may be more open to including their two top ten picks in a deal for Trac (with lots coming back their way), partly because we crack the sads over Humphrey and partly because Trac becomes more important to them if Humphrey leaves.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Good luck with that dimmawit

Farewell Clayton Oliver
We are getting not much for him and we are paying a huge chunk of his salary. We want him out. I don’t understand how people see the outcome to be any different given, for the second year in a row, we’ve signalled to him to look for a new home. We can’t walk this back now. Everyone knows that, apart from perhaps this thread. I mean we probably can but it would be such a cluster*** that it just isn’t worth it. The idea I read last night that we are getting a first rounder is absolute fantasy.

I fear you’ll be extremely disappointed f that is your expectation

Fly with a cheap shot on Clarry ‘being difficult to get a hold of’ because “he must be having a good time in Sydney”. Everyone is aware of Clarry’s past, a ‘no comment’ would have been more appropriate from someone of his experience and stature. Fly is quickly spiralling from ‘industry darling’ to ‘bitter oddball’.

Will we find out who it is or too low level within the club for their departure to rate a mention in the media?

Rumoured to be joining Silence Wedge at Golden Plains this year

Wade Derksen
Comment around Derksen on trade radio that Dees’ interest in Diggler may have cooled because of a late-season foot/toe issue…

Sounds like a folk act from the 70s

Grundy to Swans from Dees 😬

Isn’t the issue more about getting BH to select us (or just state ‘a move back home’) instead of Coll/Haw? Seems to be players typically get to the club they select nowadays, regardless of who is more attractive on the trade front.

There’s Gold Coast supporters?

One thing in our favour is the Bombers are holding out on Merrett which means the Hawks won’t really be able to resolve Merrett until late in the period. Harder to play hard for Bailey if they still have Merrett in their sights. What I fear though is Hawks prioritise BH over Merrett and then we’re competing against a cashed-up flag-contending club for his services.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I hope we pay out his annual salary contribution in 5c pieces.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Maybe he thinks Sydney is in America. Academia not his strength.

Sums up his level of maturity.

Farewell Judd McVee
We won’t need to wait that long! They clearly want to package the pick up for something else
