  1. . Can somebody up the limit on these blokes’ bloody corporate card?!
  2. Surely, SURELY, the Suns won’t let Ned go to stk unless; Bailey for Petracca is in fact on OR The StK pick 7 for Ned would be part of a deal that satisfies MFC for Trac Flanders is contracted known to be of interest to Melbourne… GC has stated CP5 is a priority so they’re not going to trade Flanders to another club unless it helps them.
  3. There are 16 other teams we can trade with. People on DL acting like the roof is caving in if we don’t collect Bailey and Flanders specifically. Both players probably are our plan A but I am pretty confident our plan B would be to use the healthy draft picks we suck out of GC to lure someone else (who probably isn’t even being spoken about yet).
  4. Actually if we don’t get Flanders they’ll end up holding Their own; 6 and 13 if Flanders goes to StK; 7 If Flanders goes to Essendon; one of 4, 5 or 8 (from Hawthorn as part of Merrett deal). So I’d upgrade the ask to 6 and 8 (assuming ESS) and then take one of those picks to market for a player.
  5. We give them our junk picks back in current (and future) draft
  6. That isn’t the same as ‘we have no interest in quality draft picks’
  7. Draft picks from the GC for Trac then it is! Go hard for 6+ 13 Dees, with late picks back to help them land their 2x top 10 academy boys.
  8. Draft picks from the GC for Trac then it is!
  9. Hang on, hang on. He had pasta and wine over dinner with the ‘aints and a mid-morning coffee with us! This doesn’t bode well. I hope they made it an Irish coffee at the very least 🇮🇪
  10. Anytime.
  11. Relax. Let it play out. The growing narrative around what we ‘need’ to get in this trade period is more about instant-gratification for nervous fans than it is strategic imperative for our future over the next 10 years. We’ll be ok.
  12. do I actively troll the Crows simpletons on Twitter today or do I let them self-implode? 🍿
  13. Surely only entree-sized tortellini given the state of their salary cap
  14. Much better idea. But Mihocek in via FA pretty much erases Spargo compo… unless we trade for Brody that is
  15. Next yr the last draft before Tassie come in and own the draft. The only way you’d do the above is if you thought Flanders and Humphrey were the missing premiership pieces (which they aren’t). We’ll need that first next year.
  16. You’ll fit in well with the ‘kick the bloody thing’ crowd around these parts.
  17. They’ll have plans b & c.
  18. “See Ned, we’re so serious about you leading the midfield that we shipped off bang bang bang to prove it to you”
  19. Cincotta worth a look in light of Judd leaving. Burton worth a look as well.
  20. We’re making Clarry captain?
  21. The news about Oliver this morning being told of ‘a new role he may not like’ must be linked to our pursuit of Flanders. Separate story emerging that ‘it is about the role, not the money for Ned’ too closely aligned to our ‘snap meeting’ with Clayton
  22. We’ll be paying a fair whack of his cash that way. Will be anyway if he is going to GC, they’re going to need $$ for Ben King next yr
  23. Relevant player managers would be let into the tent on progress, wouldn’t worry too much about an announcement in relation to impact on trade period.
  24. This is what they were saying today on trade radio also. Backended.
  25. As long as we don’t end up with a Dutch oven
