  1. Lost to Essendon in Adelaide last year. Even our memories are playing [censored]
  2. Literally no one puts a caveat on ‘just kick the thing’. And there are plenty that still say it.
  3. I appreciate the examples shown appear damning but much of the yelling ironically is coming from the same people who yell ‘just kick the thing’. Glass half empty in me says the fact we’re still using it like this after years of being publically criticised for it suggests we have no hope in changing our ways. Glass half full in me says once we get back some of our better users (McVee, Windsor with more time, Lindsay) each of those examples could be different in future rounds.
  4. Is there a training session Wednesday (tomorrow) at Gosch’s that I can take kids to?
  5. Well this thread has been a fun read
  6. Every chance!
  7. I was there that day too 😢 The locals weren’t particularly fond of me and let me know after the siren. Let’s reverse that scenario tonight.
  8. Surprised it isn’t a mandate on our players that they measure and step out their run in for a set shot like an opening bowler measures a run up. Too many times we push the ball wide because we end up too close to the man on the mark.
  9. Both drafts will be compromised (27 severely) by Tassie’s entry
  10. We stopped playing two ruckmen when we had Brodie Grundy on the list, my mind would be blown if we start that back up again with Tom Campbell on the list
  11. Anyone notice the train line disruption on the Geelong line tomorrow? Basically buses from Wyndham Vale to Geelong. Suggest leaving now for those lunatics who are up for what appears now to be a double punishing (myself included)
  12. I have a maths riddle I need some help with. If teams are dropping a spare man back in defence against us (and doing it very well) and we take one fewer player to stoppage, how many players do we actually have one the ground at any point in time? If it is in fact 16, goes some way to explaining our poor start to the season
  13. Even if those three go, there is still an enormous-Barry-Prendergast-sized leap between where we would be and our dark days
  14. Probably my mid-week pessimism kicking in but I feel Melbourne is a list filled with ‘13-possession-a-game-excellent-disposal-at-underage-level-but-not-quite-seeing-that-with-AFL-level-pressure’ types.
  15. Simples! Luckily we are a side that are excellent at controlling the ball!
  16. Can we please just go after a quality player who is squeaky clean?
  17. Told my wife something similar the other day. She was sceptical but I just don’t think she’s thought through all the negatives of me being in stud mode.
  18. I want some of what you’re on
  19. ‘The forward line is lacking quality KPFs’ is off the mark. Contested marks in the F50 are increasingly rare and Richmond’s ‘bring it to ground’ strategy is old. Have a look at who is kicking goals at Hawthorn. Mabior Chol is arguably their only tall down there and they are lighting the comp up. It’s about the way you get it in there and the way the players in there are instructed to use the space. We are truly miles behind at both.
  20. Two parter: Is there Chanpion data stats on broken tackles? Sides are either smashing through our tackles or getting arms clear for an effective possession like I’ve never seen. Is there Champion data stats for number of throws? Why are we getting caught throwing it so much? Quick ball movement I understand but we’re not the first side to try and move it at pace from contest.
  21. He’s doubled down on a game plan that appears unsuitable for the modern game. Almost all players on our list have gone backwards. Which is diabolical. Thankful for the premiership but it is time to go before he ruins young careers.
  22. Can’t see Kalani white coming to us at this rate.
  23. But not good enough at the level up. Hopefully he learns.
  24. 15% tariff if MFC are the buyers
