What is happening here - has Christian requested the AFLPA investigate or is this something they are conducting as a matter of process?

Or the social media approach can lead the shaping/re-shaping of the brand, ala GWS. Their brand has taken shape from the actions of one person and started to endear them to a different audience. Anyway. Just be better at it Dees.

I miss the Gus

It’s a brand off!

Cats and Dogs fight like dogs and cats and let Bailey slip to the pre-season draft with the Dees snap him up with Gus’ money?

Were they wooden and rotting?

Does the club need a full and external review?
The Jackson FIX replied to DeesignerAU's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sounds like we need an external review of the partially-external review! -
That GWS fella would command more $$ than any others social/comms person in the league but you can be sure the club recoup those extra $$ (and more) by bumping up sponsor proposals by a few bucks after pointing to stats like this. The club is asleep at the wheel here.

Of the handful of mids that will go at the pointy end, is there one that stands out as best user of the ball/decision maker?

Which team do you LEAST want to win the flag
The Jackson FIX replied to BoBo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can we close this thread? The only answer is Hawthorn. -
I’ve read some wild stuff on this forum. This is on the podium.

Surely they’ve already struck an agreement in-principle. Reckon it was done quite a while ago.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
The Jackson FIX replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love the bloke and I’m still contemplating getting a BANG BANG BANG tattoo but there are other things to consider (alongside his past accolades) to get a balanced view of whether we listen to offers; a) struggle to finish top 10 in our b&f this year in a year we finished 10th b) documented to have been exhibiting behaviour not in line with our standards for a number of years at a time the club clearly needs to make some form of change c) brought the club to it’s knees at the end of last year because of his behaviour d) seems to be in a better place and there is a chance he can get back to his best but that is by no means guaranteed e) taking up a significant chunk of our salary cap for many years to come Based on all of that, hard to argue 2x 1st rounders is an awful deal not worth listening to. -

I’d be more worried if we weren’t listening to reasonable offers. -

Depends who’s enquiring -
They’ll win this convincingly

The finals paradigm used to be ‘tough, contested footy’, which we aimed to master. This game is quick and the team executing well is on top. Our preferred style of footy out of date in the regular season and now out of date in the offseason.

Feels like other clubs are much better at identifying talented smalls (that impact games) than us. We have Kosi, yes, but he cost us pick 12 and that’s about all we have (I’m not a huge Chandler fan).

Fairly confident the club wouldn’t be seriously considering Membrey.

True story: Trac and Goody crossed paths in the gym this morning. Nervously I asked what the mood/interaction was like and the response from the observer was ‘very warm, familiar and friendly’. Apologies for the mundane update, just doing my bit to lift page count on this thread.

It feels like whenever a club publically states their asking price for an A-grade player, they just don’t budge. Eg. us with LJ, Adelaide with Lever, GWS with Cameron… very hard to sell it back to the members when you set the expectation at 2x 1st rounder and come back with less… Best case scenario for Dees would be finding 2x late first-rounders for the deal.

As each day passes I fear we’re more likely to have the camaraderie of a MAFS dinner table than a premiership side

Does the club need a full and external review?
The Jackson FIX replied to DeesignerAU's topic in Melbourne Demons
Solved! Does the 2 pages include a cover page? Comfortable in the knowledge now that future premiership success awaits! -
An interesting read. Genuinely can’t figure out what they’re all ‘not on the same page’ about though… you hear ‘communication’ thrown around a lot but I’m pretty sure this whole saga hasn’t been caused by a few crossed wires here and there… feels like Trac is looking for something significantly more tangible to occur (like a key figure gone, or a player behavioural committment that is uncomfortable for many of the playing group
