  1. That’s what Trac has been told - mid/forward rotation. I think they could easily fit both in the side. It’s probably the next guy who gets pushed out, which is someone like Ainsworth. Which is a bit weird in a Dimma-side because Ainsworth is that pressure forward his game plan has always relied so heavily on.
  2. One of Tom Morris’ predictions for trade week (in a filler segment on Trade Radio) was that the Petracca deal would ultimately get done but would drag on and would be dramatic, with Melbourne taking Trac off the table even at one point before ultimately relenting. Demonland would melt down.
  3. Craig Cameron near-confirmed the Flanders deal with the ‘Aints was pretty close. Gold Coast give; Sam Flanders + 4th rounder Stk give; Pick 7 + 3rd round pick + baby bottle
  4. It didn’t sound like that from the Craig Cameron interview - reading between the lines it sounded like Dimma had fairly clearly told Bailey ‘he ain’t going anywhere’
  5. Flanders isn't coming to Melbourne. That deal to Saints for 7 will be one of the quicker ones to get done, massive overs for Ned. GC will back themselves in to get Trac deal done for picks.
  6. You don’t just get offered a role unless you’re out there looking. I think this is more about what Troy wants/needs to do for his career but 3 important people that we want to keep (Trac/Judd/Troy) upping stumps and leaving isn’t a great start for King. I think the club need to hold Chaplin to his contract here.
  7. I truly believe they don’t care either way. Several years ago when GC were deadbeats, sure, but today I reckon AFL House would just be standing out of the way and letting the Suns continue what they seem to have done pretty well last couple of years.
  8. I think he meant GC would ask for 3 first round picks for Humphrey. Dees would take 3 first rounders for a 30yo Trac in a heartbeat.
  9. An admission that it wasn’t actually a footy act? Throw in an admission that we were in fact better than them in ‘23 and he’s sold
  10. Would be interesting to see what happens if the club Clarry selects offers MFC a dud deal, whilst the other club was happy to stump up more.. not the done thing to tell him to look for a new club and then play hardball on which club it is. I get that he is contracted and all that but it’d be a bad look on our end.
  11. I’ve warmed to King, but can’t help but think Bucks would’ve been a more attractive option for players during trade period. Maybe King will be that one day, but hard to get excited about a first year coach at a club with question marks if you’re from outside (having said that I reckon Trac stays if Bucks was here and Humphrey never in play).
  12. Difficult sell to come to a club seemingly in limbo… wonder whether they have got Max and Kossie on the phone to him.
  13. I heard he was VERY close but unimpressed with the gym
  14. Not total fantasy, but low-chance + heartbreaking-hope
  15. Similar in many ways though
  16. Not quite Gruzewski levels but he’d be worth a bit on a scrabble board.
  17. Predicting the BH story will fizzle out fairly quickly from here. Reckon Dimma will be speaking to him fairly quickly and firmly. His manager just playing everyone in the process like a fiddle for some more coin.
  18. If our offer is in that vicinity that will be an unprecedented % of salary cap spent on two small-ish forwards/sometimes midfielders
  19. Or maybe he is neither really homesick or desperately wants to leave (but ‘open’ to a departure) but the Suns just prefer something about Trac in their mix for the next 3 years and sacrificing BH is the only way to unlock that? Even if this is true, I’d expect Suns still try and explore other trade scenarios for Trac so they can keep BH
  20. I don’t keep receipts but I’d love to know if the ‘imploding’ crew are the same people as the ‘hate Buckley’ crew that celebrated King’s appointment. I’ll put my hand up / I was a Buckley guy that is now happy with the King appointment (and happy with the clean out) but there is no way there’d be as much of a player exodus if Buckley was in charge.
  21. Also largely missed by the crowd as they struggled to hear anything over the constant slurping of their dentally-approved 6 course soup degustation
  22. For anyone that is an Always Sunny in Philadelphia fan, I always imagine the Collingwood B&F resembles a McDoyle family gathering.
  23. Apparently Mihocek’s departure was written on the big screen at the event but went largely unnoticed due to the crowds’ inability to read.
  24. I wish people would stop wishing away our first rounder next year… it’ll be the last chance we get to get talent at the very top for a while
  25. Chunk and King should’ve worn wigs
