  1. Giles Thompson. Famous for letting V’landys walk all over racing Vic and near-ruin our Spring racing carnival.
  2. In next week’s Age quiz; Is Simon Goodwin the right guy to lead the Melbourne Football Club? a) Yes b) No c) a point of ongoing debate at an infamous airport West Tatoo parlour
  3. I have it on good authority that they’re all confident he’ll never turn the ball over again
  4. Had read in one of the training reports that Bowey had shared he’d be training up on the wing
  5. Looks like Trac is being attacked by a pair of aggressive poodles - did anyone jump in to help the poor bloke??
  6. I’m sure it has been covered but did he play VFL games ala Jagga and if so how did he go against the bigger bodies?
  7. The two key forward touted for first round don’t get taken tonight… there’s the evidence for the flat-earthers that the time of the KPP is coming to an end!
  8. I’m sorry, misspellings a real trigger for me. Good news the club think that about him.
  9. It’s ‘rapt’ but is this just your guess based on contract extension + coming back in good shape or have you heard something more from someone at the club?
  10. TikTok is exploding (has exploded) as a platform. So too Snapchat. You are right in saying their performance in this space is important, especially for attracting, engaging (and monetising) younger demos. You’d hope our new CEO has more of a modern view of where we could go in this space.
  11. Were we linked to Windsor in his original or late phantom last year?
  12. The hair and the red jumper probably leading the witness somewhat but to me Tauru moves like Heeney; his leap, his timing, his pace, his clean hands
  13. I personally think that is a bit of a stretch…. Probably more likely they think there is no point building a draft strategy alongside a scenario that may or may not happen…
  14. Draper has gone from being the late darling of this draft to the forgotten man pretty quickly…. Wasn’t it just last week Voss & co were flying to Adelaide to speak with him?
  15. Lolll. This post pretty much sums up pre-draft Demonland.
  16. maybe the Tauru part is just keeping Norf honest so they don’t trade away #2 in the hope he slides down further?
  17. Has he put on size? In rehab or with main group?
  18. He’s back! Dees buzz back!
  19. Using this logic, I’m just glad we had the courage to select Christian Petracca at #2 after the failure of the #2 Jack Trengove pick in the past
  20. One name not mentioned anywhere is Josh Blanksby who left MRC recently. He was mentioned when Richmond were hunting for a CEO. I don’t think he is right (no footy background and he seemingly was a big part of the botch-job of the Caulfield redevelopment) but I am surprised he hasn’t been floated due to his intimate knowledge of Caulfield/the Trust and our clear ambitions there.
  21. I understand this. You completely missed what I was saying
  22. Personally I reckon it’s more that a) he needs to publish a new article for eyeballs/clicks/$ and b) he’s starting to hear some whispers about who might go where (but not enough whispers to confidently publish a phantom)
  23. Cal’s a bit half pregnant with this latest edition: he is too much of a coward to call it a phantom draft yet not a ball has been kicked between his last release and this one… How could a players’ ‘ranking’ change with zero games of footy?
  24. I have had a little (very little) bit to do with him on the sponsorship front several years ago. Nice guy but didn’t strike me as ‘Australia’s oldest sporting club who needs a home base and a culture overhaul’ level of guy. Important to remember the Storm are privately owned (Tripp and friends) and the governance is different. Important also to remember that they have Bellamy who is the driver of culture in that joint and has done a phenomenal job almost solely doing that for a very long time.
  25. CRACK CRACK oh look now he’s 7 ft 3 why didn’t we do that earlier?! That is just not how the human body works.
