  1. Evidence suggests it is rare that we would be getting a great player back in a trade where Kossie signals he wants to departā€¦ itā€™s not just freo we have to convince, we also have to find a great player that wants to come to us, which is hard because their playing group would believe they are on the rise and us on the fall.

I donā€™t like how non-recruitment staff meet with contracted players but deep down I really wish opposition superstars would want to meet with Goody and co.
  3. If he does, weā€™ve hit the jackpot. Sam Darcy will be the best player in the game within the next 2 years. He also progressed extremely quickly for a tall.
  4. Weā€™ll be better largely because of fewer disasters (on and off field) but we wonā€™t worry the top teams. We just donā€™t score enough and I havenā€™t seen/heard of anything that weā€™ve done in the offseason that will meaningfully change us in this department. Obviously I hope I am wrong.
  5. Lookalikes now! This must be on the podium for worst thread in Demonland history.
  6. Isaiah Dudley currently training with Freo for their last list spot. From memory he is Kossieā€™ close/best mate.
  7. The backlineā€™s biggest issue last 18 months has been the midfield.
  8. Paywall. But the excerpt reveals he is being consulted in the search and that he is not a candidate. Gemba-related is my guess.
  9. Whoā€™s on first?!
  10. Surely they have a growing salary cap issueā€¦
  11. Kris Barlow šŸ¤®
  12. The difference being Richmond were willing participants in that trade as they sought to fast track a re-build (and Shai is several years older than Koz and was pretty average last yr).
  13. My god Gold Coast could be unbeatable soon
  14. Thatā€™s actually one part of our plan Iā€™m not too worried about. Kicks are deep and avoid the corridor = low risk on the turnover. Other teams began to copy
  15. He is quick. You donā€™t have to like him but blaming his lack of speed isnā€™t a reasonable reason to dislike him.
  16. FWIW; ā€œ Who is the fastest player in the Melbourne Demons? Kade Chandler When it came to the club's speed Demons, Kade Chandler topped the charts with a scintillating 35.2km/hr sprint recorded in Opening Round against Sydney. Caleb Windsor and Kysaiah Pickett were the other Demons to feature in the top five speeds recorded by a Melbourne player in 2024.ā€
  17. He is one of, if not fastest player at the club. Top speeds in games last season were published in an article in the site. I think people scratch around for reasons that often donā€™t exist to not like chin.

I donā€™t think he has too much to repay
  19. My point is: Iā€™ll hold my pre-season excitement for Jeff until I hear he is taking pack/contested marks, working over key defenders and/or taking marks on a lead.
  20. It was a reference to Jeffo
  21. Heard a lot about him gaining size this pre-season but yet to read of him hitting a pack for a contested mark or taking marks on the lead in match sim or out-muscling Maysie etc. Felt when Roo was turning the corner I read about a lot of those things in the pre-season.

Good footballer. Looks like a bog-ordinary bloke. Heā€™d fit in perfectly over there.
  23. JT would still include him in his rankings. Keeping the comment ā€œour next preferredā€ in the edit for a pick 6 draftee was a bit oddā€¦ so my assumption is it was a direct reference to the publically known fact we selected Ashcroft before him.
  24. I want to see the behind the scenes documentary about how they managed to have jumpers ready with their pick number/name on the back! Did they have a a whole bunch of variations of name and pick number ready to go? Did they just wing it and prepare one jumper for each and hope for the best? Did they iron the numbers and name on the spot and if so who brought the iron?! David Copperfield areas.
  25. Could well have been referencing Levi. We did select him before Langford, after all.
