  1. PS and in this context, it would have been great to keep BBB as a goalkicking coach.
  2. You said in another post somewhere - I can't remember where it was - that they practise in an unstructured manner and a lot of it is practising difficult shots. They really need structured practice of shots from "easy" positions. Yesterday I estimate (without counting) that missed shots from within 40m and on only a slight angle cost us about 6 goals - I'm thinking of misses by Fritta, Billings and AJ. We don't need to get the hard ones; we need to get the easy ones.
  3. Yes, both with the women and also as goalkicking coach...
  4. I thought he was working with us!!!???
  5. Selection was one or two talls light. What was the problem with Petty? We needed a true swingman very badly today. Lever is not and never will be any good as a"tall defender". He is a brilliant interceptor but no good one on one; we needed at least one more good tall defender - why wasn't TMac in the team.? And forward: when JVR went down, we were totally exposed for lack of height. I thought AJ did very well but we needed another tall in attack as well. Campbell should have been selected. In the other hand, Adams did some ok things but was also beaten; Windsor was great with his disposal but a defender needs to be able to defend and I'm not sure that he is ready for that. And how did Walters regularly get so free? Was that down to Bowey? But absolutely great to see Clarry and Trac in top form. And in the third quarter the value of it was on show.
  6. Well, no doubt about it. Clarry and Trac are back!
  7. Hate the chipping around. When other teams do it to us I love it because it means they don't know what to do. And that's how it is going with us. And every kick is another opportunity for the other team to intercept in their forward line FFS.
  8. Only seen a few bits - where is Johnson?
  9. I must have missed something. What is the issue with Langdon?
  10. I agree.

The MCG attitude to policing seats is completely hopeless - disgraceful, actually. There were periods last year where there was no checking at all in respect of Trident reserved seating. Let's hope this year the MCG lifts its game!
  12. Nothing new about that. Terrible website.
  13. It certainly looks like he has the ability. It will be whether he has the desire and determination. 🤞🤞

I think that's exactly right, and is what we have now done. Let's hope he is AFL ready.
  15. CF, you can't retrieve your position. Don't try. He got you fair and square with your own words.
  16. CF is a spent force. He was absolutely skewered by bing181 (see a couple of pages back on this thread) and I doubt if he'll have the front to post again for quite a while. He certainly shouldn't.
  17. The old theory is that a champion team will always beat a team of champions. Well, they were no good against the All Stars, who were a team of champions......
  18. No you didn't. You just said that McAdam was not working out as well as we hoped, which I think we all know- but you said it FAR differently to that in your choice of words. In fact, there was no point to your original post at all, other than obnoxiousness, which is at least consistent on your part.
  19. Which bit of reality didn't we grasp? Everyone knew McAdam had an iffy body but if he could get it right, the upside was tremendous. So again, your point (other than being obnoxious for its own sake)?
  20. We see this sort of comment quite often on DLand. Some players are very well paid - although out of the starting figure comes managers' and agents' fees etc.. The majority are not so well paid. in return, they take a life which has a very limited span - generally a maximum of 10-12 years; for players below the top echelon, less than that. Every aspect of their day Is focused around diet, exercise, and proper preparation. They live in an intrusive media spotlight and get harassed by members of the public, either well-meaning or not, on a regular basis. They generally don't have the time to get qualifications like a degree or an apprenticeship so at the end of their careers they have to start from scratch. When working, they face physical challenges that almost anyone would avoid, but the slightest flinch is scrutinised and criticised. [I for one would be terrified on an AFL footy field!] At any time they might get serious injury - eg poor McAdam - which often can persist for life (e.g. post-concussion issues, or lifelong arthritic knees, etc). In return, they provide all of us with something to fill our daily lives. I don't begrudge them their pay or conditions one bit.
  21. And didn't McAdam look good in those highlights??!!!
  22. Sure he says some things we don't like, but doesn't anyone read the bit where he says I'M HAVING FUN AND I LOVE IT AT THE CLUB
