  1. Don't worry. Kent can't even spell his own name.
  2. I've read that on this site too. They practise all the speccy shots, on their own time. They need to have organised practice of simple shots. The speccies can look after themselves.
  3. Surely Lobb should have received a medal..
  4. And got 2 Brownlow votes in his first game IIRC.
  5. 31 frees to 14. i hate them.
  6. I think that Spargo might work well with Turner. Turner makes good position, Spargo is our best deliverer after Melksham: they might form a good combination.
  7. Oops - I hadn't realised the point was paid as a free
  8. I would have wanted that "point" call reviewed, and how did Cripps get away with a one- handed throw that went 10m
  9. All very good points
  10. I hate Windsor at HB. I would try putting Lindsay there - his movement reminded me of Judd McVee and wouldn't that be nice!! To have two of them! But HB is a real problem for us at the moment because we only have Salem and Bowser as available established HBFs. Sestan may be worth a try... Or put Rivers back there.
  11. This post answers a lot of the criticism of Fritta in earlier posts. He has been a deep forward, and yes, not only a deep forwards being covered better, but other teams are well aware of his capacity. Which is why he has been less effective over recent years, but it is not to blame him.
  12. My recollection – this was not shown on the replay – is that there was quite a huddle of our midfield group, outside the centre Square, taking an unusually long time to discuss tactics. I suspect the speculation about the audible is correct.
  13. AJ is a real trier and I love that.
  14. Agree re Fritta. He looks a bit lost playing up the ground. And now that we have 2-3 talls who contest strongly, and will take the key defenders, he would be in his element close to goal.
  15. You don't need to tell us. Just don't read them.
  16. That kick for goal that was touched on the line? Sparrow would have made the distance.
  17. You can bet it won't be…
  18. Well, what a surprise. The 15m kick rule is measured completely differently between Geelong and Freo.
  19. You have nooooo idea. Footy - and bums on seats - is about WINNING. The key to winning is DEFENCE, as anyone who knows anything will say. I was happy to go and watch defensive football and then sing the song at the end - which we did far more often than not.
  20. And Robbie's unbelievable snatch/blind turn/goal v Collingwood.
  21. Hassa Mann v Hawthorn 1964
  22. Great watch and great choice for the last one. For Volume 2, I hope there is the Leoncelli matchwinner in Adelaide.
  23. Max doesn't need coaching - he could teach Russian quite a few things. But he should be an excellent coach for Verralls, AJ, Campbell and the part-timers: TMac, Petty, Roo.
  24. PS and in this context, it would have been great to keep BBB as a goalkicking coach.
  25. You said in another post somewhere - I can't remember where it was - that they practise in an unstructured manner and a lot of it is practising difficult shots. They really need structured practice of shots from "easy" positions. Yesterday I estimate (without counting) that missed shots from within 40m and on only a slight angle cost us about 6 goals - I'm thinking of misses by Fritta, Billings and AJ. We don't need to get the hard ones; we need to get the easy ones.
