Sounds like an excellent replacement for ANB to me.

That is always fun!

113 pages of mindless rubbish

Exactly. All this criticism, doomsaying, character-assassinating as result of what? The club has said multiple times: he won't be traded. Some media snipers dispute this but offer no actual evidence. People need to get a grip!!
-
I thought he had said pretty much that numerous times. That he loves the club and will only go elsewhere if forced to do so
-
Interesting that he doesn't refer to Petracca. FWIW, if Trac was really interested in going to Collingwood, he has lost me. How any Melbourne player could contemplate standing in a circle singing their song with that POS Maynard is beyond my comprehension. If he was really contemplating it, I would let him go to Carlton for de Koning and McKay.
-
That would amaze me but if you know that, then you know it. But I stand by what I said. He is forever kissing Geelong's you know what, and on the rare occasions that he isn't, he is bagging Melbourne.

Damian Barrett is so pro-Geelong it is embarrassing. That he should be in the AFL website - which should be objective- is a joke. He is all about how great "Jezza", "Danger" or Scott is, and also, if he can get half a chance to slag off Melbourne he jumps at it. He clearly has an agenda: to destabilise Melbourne and Oliver and thus get Oliver to Geelong. And BTW, if Clarry is past it and out of date in his style, why is everyone so interested in pursuing him? I hope and believe he will be at Melbourne next year, hopefully on his way to his THIRD AFLCA medal.
-
I think it was probably a joke. You don't get to change your mind after you have done it, and I suspect it was like the occasion where he clutched at his hamstring at training as a joke.
-
Yes, until PROVEN otherwise. We should disbelieve it.
-
If he is trying to buy his way in to the board, that is not acceptable.
-
That was my point. Of course, to some supporters, it means "support". Clearly, you're not one of them.
-
It's a funny word, "support" - apparently it can mean undermine, criticise, backstab, disrespect....
-
I just, belatedly, watched Goody's speech from last night. All credit to him. It was a thoughtful, perfectly-pitched speech with inspiring ideas. Go Dees!

Completely wrong. BBTD was simply making the point that there is no need to belittle players. Which is a fault that is far too common on this forum.
-
And honestly, when the media is publishing a letter from a disgruntled supporter who is threatening to not renew their membership????? How many of these letters does any club get per day! This is the most pathetic bit of media ever.
-
FFS Goody GOT us to that finals series!!!!
-
Everyone on this site has been saying that we need a backup for Max who can play a bit forward and is prepared to spend time in the reserves. Isn't Preuss ideal?
-
All this shafting of Pert seems to be based on the allegation that he was hawking Clarry around. Is there any proof of that allegation, or is it just media-started rumours? And why isn't anyone paying attention to where Clarry said that he was not interested in Geelong (see p.27 of the Clarry thread)?

St Kilda wants to change father son rules
Ollie fan replied to darkhorse72's topic in Melbourne Demons
St Kilda are spot on. Of course, the AFL will change the rules just in time for us to pay top trade dollar for Kalani White. -
look at p. 27 of this thread - i don't have the knowledge of how to repost it here
-
Hear hear!! Some unfounded rumours on trade radio, which is dying to find things to talk about, and everyone here is crying, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" and is blaming it on whoever their particular personal scapegoat is. And completely overlooking that Clayton Oliver has said he is not interested in Geelong!

I know a few things: we have been a top team from 2020 until about July 2024, when injuries piled up and we couldn't cope. I also know that our membership got to 75,000 which was previously unheard-of. I know that a lot of star players renewed contracts long term. I know that at last there is a realistic prospect of a home base in a relatively central location. I know that I don't care a fig for"dee-mocracy"; i just want something to barrack for when I go to the games - which I regularly do. That is enough for me.
-
Lawrence will not sort anything out until he is on the board - and if that ever happens, goodbye to stability and sound administration.
-
That is a fair point. Another possibility is that now that the season is over, Trade Radio has nothing to talk about except the vaguest of rumours which it elevates into "sources say".
