  1. We must build the list every season. Make savings elsewhere. But to fall behind others in our area of ladder development, is to give up. CHB is an issue, and I don't think Lever is it, not do I think Smith. Both Lever and Smith to me are tweeners. Utlity's. I want an attacking CHB like peter knights did back in the day. with modern subtleties. Maybe the Hardeman comparison is more apt.? But not a 197 cm beanstalk... but a low centre of gravity strong build, who can run all day and hit targets.
  2. We're training on the spot already; we cannot get better than that, because of it's falling distance to the biggest/busiest railway station in the burbs.
  3. Its where he got him, i think. And Silvani arms outstretched upward, made him prone to be injured.
  4. Term of contract, money, and negotiating with GWS.? I still would be to rushed to jettison Weide. This is the first time he has had a decent injury free entry into the season, and its a carp season. His body is just starting to appear manly so IMV he's just entering his productive time. He's contracted to end of next year. And I would honor Weide's contract; and try to extend next season. If he starts to show his stuff. Now we are appearing like we are going to free up quite a bit of salary cap space this end of season. For Whom.?
  5. Again, a backwater up a side alley. It's like a sideshow, our efforts to get something for the supporters. No where near our club, team, and training. It's just bulltish.! Supporters want and need to be near their players, hero's, and the clubs hub. Otherwise it just feels like we are outside that glass-curtain.
  6. agh, but what about as CHB.? swing man. We need a running key back who will draw opponents ahead of him, and skilled enough to layoff to a teammate, to advance the ball.
  7. I was checking out Harry's stats just last week 'BA'; with this view.?
  8. His, Daniher's stories don't ring true. So we Demonlanders smell something that is uncomfortably bullish.
  9. Your kidding. Well, that might help us, he may want a change, from the downward direction of the crows in a rebuild period.
  10. It almost looking like selection this year, after maybe some footy-dept changes, that players now have to demand a game by crashing the selection room door in.! hunger games
  11. The crows must have something we want. Laird is too small to replace Nev, imv. Lets start to get into Fogarty.
  12. Whats Rory Atkins like any good.? would he be of interest.?
  13. I am surprised and disappointed that this property is still in our hands, and imv, should have been sold at the top of the property cycle a couple of years back.
  14. The point is he's kept them in finals year after year, with an aging tired list. It's an easy step forward from that position, IF they pluck a couple of of great kids in a draft. We on the other hand have had so many years in the bottom third of ladders, for so many years in the past 5 decades. It has eroded supporters and therefore, players belief, in our brand. MfcSS. It haunts us. WE, all have to help to overcome this and that starts with us supporters, demanding more from our boards, now and forever more. Like politicians, we cannot hand them the keys, and we go back to bed. We have to be diligent and keep the board and admins accountable. And less so the players, particularly in their first 3 or 4 seasons. I wish we had U-19's back again, so we don't really get to see them play, mostly; so they can just focus on their development in peace.
  15. None of this is about Nev. Its all about the posters now.
  16. I watched NRL on friday night just to ear te commentary because its not overstated, smug, nor too smart for itself. They just enjoy the game and one another; like we Used to, be back in the 70's/80's. How did our commentary get so high brow, and "look at me, look at me" Come on C-7, ditch these smart Al ex footballers, and bring in "Con the Fruiterer". So we can enjoy the footy once again. The commentators have never been good, ever since we have so many Ex Pro players. and the non ex footy players try hard to be clever to match them. They are all spoiling the game for us as a spectacle. When the commentators are the spectacle the game is saying, "I can't breath". ... this is another thing in our lives that needs rescuing from big brother, and big business..
  17. I turned it on, to see the ending of the game, and then quickly changed channel so I didn't have to hear the song. GC... how are the young ones going, 'd189227' .?
  18. OK. I haven't watched him play. Does he have any speed.? endurance.? What else can you tell us.? Skills for other positions.?
  19. So would I 'Hff'. They would want something else as well probably. Or perhaps they'd trade P-11 to us for Brays.?
  20. Easy because he hasn't added any new strings to the bow he showed us back then. He's still the same player doing the same things, and not any better, than in his first season. He's plateaued.
  21. R U sure, 'pf'.? So do I, 'TKE'. Id like to come back with a bang as well.
  22. You mean he's coached them to 16 finals matches in his time. Doesn't that tell you something when his best players are all aging, or retired.? If only we were able to have played 16 finals in that time. You know, because they've been in finals regularly, they won't have far to climb, as they rebuild the list and find some new stars. They have Mo-Mentum.
  23. Well done you Viney's. BOG news this week.
