  1. You don't want him.? Star yes. What do Nth want from us.? Nothing ventured nothing gained. Try imagining your Alan Aylett, and you want to build your kanga's for the longer term and to strengthen the side. They aren't going anywhere in a hurry in the next 2 seasons. And they need to add many players.
  2. Parish is an outside mid with skills; But I don't know Fantasia, other than he's been talked about in trade discussions past, and he's a small forward I believe. Don't know if he's quick, skilled or what.?
  3. And they took Duursma, who would have looked good in RednBlue.
  4. Why.? BBrown is approaching 28Yrs of age. Brayshaw is 24. We might have something else they like.? I'd prefer BBrown over Daniher, to play that same role.
  5. I'd stay away from Daniher. While he's on the bummers list, he's chewing on their cap space. Which could mean we might claim another of their list.? What about Parish, What is Fantasia like.?
  6. No way. Sparrow might be just what we're looking for in our Mids, or anywhere else. agree dl4e. I'd rather try to offer Brays, for Ben Brown at North. [ Brayshaw + O'Baker, or future pick ] for BBrown. With the Bummers, swap Bray for Parish, plus spare change to round it out.
  7. Much like TMc, and I think Brown. Brad is the type/size of player I'd like us to recruit for CHB... in that, his balance and athleticism and attack at the ball. To me, his is the right size height X strong build, that gives him stability on his feet and in the air. Someone like him with nice disposal would be fantstic.
  8. How would he have gone at CHB.? How would his style shape go today as a CHB. It's almost exactly what I envisage the new tall defender draftee, that I want our club to recruit. Thanks for mentioning him, as I just realised he is what I'm after, for our Key defence Qtr back.
  9. not the players.... but as a footy club... off-field mostly, which impacts the on-field. It was percy and checker who put the Demon into the Fuchsia's. The club prior was not aggressive, nor major winners. only occasional flags won, in a much smaller league.. still part of Mcc. Checker revved them up and created a winning culture; which lasted some 35 years. We returned to becoming flowers of another name. Its time now to revert.... When we were starting to lose our Mojo, Kennedy was starting to kickoff his Commandos. Smithy and Our Mojo was almost killed off by then. stifled and suffocated, from within our own home. Now sadly Kennedy has passed, Smithy and Checker long gawn. Barass nearing the end. Back then, it was "the dawning of the age of Aquarius", Now we are almost fully into the new age of 'Aquarius'. Has the past years 'of overlap', been "the time of troubles". it has been for Mfc at least. Is it time for our rebirth, and resurrect our inner fire.? to put away the conservative flower of correctness, and to begin to play with sure passion, and aggression.?.! I think it is time for us to awaken and to not feel guilty for playing like arrsewholes; and then return to 'mild-mannered', after we depart the field Via or corner Phone-Box at the players race. The time is nigh, as we enter the New-Age.
  10. Eddie is a boofhead, as you say, But, he's/been a leader on the pedestal of TV and Radio. What he says people react to. for good or bad decisions. his love of the power, and his abuse of that power, is what condemns him. He is for Eddie, 1st 2nd 3rd. and he lps things, that helps himself. Really Bif. Does one have to be an absolute gent to be someone of note. Or does/did a protestor against the Vietnam War count .? civilised +/-... I agree behaviour have declined... I generally agree. Sticks and Stones" was the way I was brought up... So was I, and it hurt, bad. And so I thought i was weak, but I was just sensitive. The issue here is; those 'less-sensitive' use the power they have over sensitive souls, to belittle them and to oppress them. That's the outcome. As well as anxiety and depression. emotional strength... Is a fallacy, its just being unemotional, blocking the emotions; such as soldiers. At what cost.? The generation younger than me are far more sensitive to words... Not really. but I can see what you say. IMV, its more that they are more liberated to think more individually, rather than group mentality, or Pack mentality, like say dogs, or armies. So they don't have to follow the "expected" roles of yesteryear.
  11. Building our Home Base. Is this where we should be spending our donations to the club.? Maybe we should be contributing towards our own Independence and Identity.? I wonder how many would agree and like to take this and run with it, to get something rolling, to create some momentum towards this creation.? I envisage it would be Towards a new building only and not the land associated. So it could be transportable to any deemed suitable site, close to inner Melbourne. And thoughts would be welcome, to see if this idea has a well respected following, or is not seen as necessary.
  12. Exactly. We new at the start of the year that Bennell would be a week to week proposition, for this very reason, that he can't be rushed with his past issues, and the fact they have taken a complete band of muscles out of his lower legs. Which will mean his lower legs will be under strength to some degree. His body will need time to start to re-balance itself, via strengthening the other calf muscles to counter the loss.
  13. We've got just the player for him. So far behind trend, he's actually setting it, the trend. ?
  14. I think this is it. We must have tried Nev on a tall against the Blues to see how he would go, so we can start to bring some new players thru the back-line. Rivers being the first of many, I think. I'd like to see Maxy play forward, and ruck as required, to get our Mids to fight harder when things are on a Silver platter for them. With Tomlinson rucking, and Salem to wing. Smith either to tall back pocket, or CHB. Lockhart to small back pocket, and Rivers to HBF. B: LOCKHART, MAY, LEVER HB: RIVERS, SMITH, HARMES C : LANGDON, PETRACCA, SALEM HF: FRITSCH, T.MCDONALD, VANDENBERG F: GAWN, HUNT, PICKETT FOLL: TOMLINSON, OLIVER, VINEY IC: BRAYSHAW, MELKSHAM, HANNAN, HIBBERD
  15. No doubt we are approaching a big transition period at Mfc, over the next 3 years.
  16. Who, was it that plagiarized the concept of 4 wheels on a car. Sometimes once you put a thought to air and give it 'it's breath', it stops belonging to just the original thinkers.
  17. Also this is central to this whole Thread OD. Because it it mostly those who are more sensitive nature'd, who more often suffer depression and anxiety issues. And it goes, that those less sensitive of nature are most often in leadership roles; were they play the politics of the systems better, and so, they go on to make a lot of insensitively based decisions and laws. And soon, the society is out of balance. And its the sensitive creatives who are more on the humanities/arts, and science based roles within our communities. It's these sensitive types who should be the leaders; but the system does not work for the true Quiet Australians.
  18. Even for children who have/are being bullied badly. To say never mind is just irresponsible to the child, and casting them irrelevance.
  19. I would have heard their music on dads radio at breakfast, without knowing anything of names, races, and sometimes genders. Yes because radio is a great leveler, using only senses of hearing and of thought/feelings. Prior to imagery getting in the way of the mind.
  20. Actually 'iirc' i seem to remember a lot of County and Western, on local TV from the States, early in the 60's. Other than the black and white minstrel shows etc. Fortunately innocence was bliss, and an excuse. But education, a free press, and free open minded education helps overcome most.
  21. He is right now, and every time he speaks, he fades from view even more. Because he either can't/doesn't understand, or will not. Since I've began to learn of narcissism, I can see maybe why, he doesn't.
