  1. Lets go one better and re-recruit Morton as well. Hell get Cook for the forwardline.
  2. I agree. I think now, he was too young to come across the country to play. I agree with raising the draft age to 19Yrs, but also academy players should be 16 or 17yrs, from within your own local region. So they stay at home with mum and dad. A sort of U-19's comp.
  3. LoL, Demon hair remover. I like it 'Pm'. ☺️
  4. We've got young forwards, and older, but we have nothing in the pipeline Re tall backs. Once may is done, were stoofed. If Lever gets hurt, were stoofed. It's CHB we need mostly from the draft this year. But I would go after Fogarty hard, as a trade hopeful. He reminds me of a bigger Glenn Archer, a key position Archer. Brick walls beware. And he could hit the midfield as well, imo. I would chase him till the cows come home. Small POWER forward. 193cm 94Kgs 21Yr old. And he would compliment a 200+ cm big forward.
  5. How do you reckon May would look at CHF.?
  6. Yes, I agree. He is. But the type of player is what we lack. I wouldn't sacrifice for the quick effect, 'wwsw'. Yes, actually in under 18's he was a winger, in the match at the Dome. To me he was the standout from those I saw that year u18's... but only saw him in one game. Can he play forward, interesting. I was trying to make the point that our defence still needs another gun tall, so that Lever plays 3rd tall or small. But Talia is too old for our defensive mix. He and May would finish at the same time which isn't good. Although May can play forward as well.?
  7. I would go after Daniel Talia, if I wanted quick effect, and had dollars. But, that would put too many players in our older age bracket. So I hope we draft a mobile key back. 193 - 194cms, quick agile and skilled.
  8. Players are now fighting to hold their positions with the kids pushing forward. And the stars of 2018 are struggling to hold theirs. This, IS the best thing that's happened at Melbourne since 1987, when Viney, Spalding and Dean, with Koop entered our building.
  9. Yep, I sure i noticed him down back more often than I remember of him. I think the press we've been putting out, about our mids lack of defensive running is being heard. And also there are young players like Sparrow, Chandler and maybe Bedford almost ready to come into our mids blend. Add Salem as well, and Bedford into wing consideration, and there is now pressure within the club for team places. Seriously, our future looks the best, since the mid 80's.
  10. Game plans are only as good as the players who know it, and can implement it; otherwise it's hard to tell what its meant to be, or look like. The point is, it will never come together until the players individually, and as a team, can implement it. Until we get to that point we cannot truly judge, especially as our main aim is introducing young first gamers, and new bloods, into our structure. I think we saw a hint of it against the Blues 1st Qtr, and again yesterday in the 2nd Qtr, when those teams didn't pressure us. Allowed us to play it. Once we get more team time going, and find one another (as teammates), I think it will show out more often. I agree; it's way to early to say much at all, so far.
  11. I think this is right KDA. But TMc has been built to wrestle and hold position, against other big bodies. So I think Weide is the one earmarked to lead up, from starting deep with TMc, as well as Hunt.? Weide is a great long kick for goal, and atmo, his body still growing, filling; imv he's suited to play high, after starting at full forward. And we've got the mosquito's now to buzz about TMc's feet. I wonder about Toms foot if it's 100%, since the end of 2018. But he's now built for power.
  12. Yeah; I think he's a half forward. He's a bit of an opportunist, for the ball hacked free, he swoops and pings goals. He's learning another forward role, atmo. He needs to mature more.
  13. I think confidence is all. self belief. At end of season, I'd like to see him get stuck into the gym, and put some more strength on those bones. Time he became more manly. He's still 'just a boy'.
  14. He had a brilliant 2nd half. Excellent. Lets see that effort every match. Not half measures, all game long.
  15. Lazy players need discipline. Don't work hard for the team, don't play as much. Its always been this way, do the right things and earn the respect of all. Don't and your on the pine.
  16. Its the defence that needs his help, ahead of the ball arriving there. He has to help build our defence press. Its no good running in after the ball has got there. Looks like a parte` boy to me. clarry choo choo.
  17. He also has to work hard the other way, and get down into the back half, just as much as the F50. Gus does 100 x100's pre season, with brothers. OK, lets see it Gus, in games.
  18. Exactly. They're learning about one another on the job. And doing pretty well, so far. considering. A couple more matches will show us more of what we have, and where we are at.
  19. What a weak argument that is; we all know how bad last season was, and its was a right-off. BUT, we recruited exceptionally well, in spite of the season that was.
  20. Now you stopped arguing the points and started to play the postor instead. Rockets... you don't think TMc got one in the rooms Re his lack of aggression, before he came out and smashed into Tom Stewart.? SWYL, you are doing THE exact thing you want the team to stop doing. You've lost your composure, and have been taken over by MfcSS.
  21. We couldn't RR. because he was tied to GWS academy. Langdon is a hard worker who wanted to come east to us, he's our hardest runner and a busy bee. His kicking decisions will get better as he gets used to to his role, and we start to get some form. He is a benefit to the backs, where he covers plenty of ground, to and fro. Tomlinson played quite well, and I could see him starting to think his way thru the Cats setup. As the game went along he got better. He's started to think and measure his kicks, going forward. How many new players are playing in RednBlue this season, 'Hff'? How many in this weeks team.?
