  1. Yep, but we lack a Midfielder who can step out of congestion with the ball, and weave their way thru traffic. They can be 2nd touch player, but we need that inside class to add to our grunt. This is also why I want another look at Salem inside. Our centreman should be a classy player. And I think there's room for a true rover these days, in the rotations.
  2. Or do not regard our advice with much respect.? Perhaps a disregard for our ways. There seems to be a culture in areas, where the word of our health professionals has met with little regard.
  3. What I see is Jackson and Weideman working in ruck tandem, when Maxy is beyond rucking.
  4. Is there any truth, we will get that pick back again?
  5. I think Jackson will play, because the Tiges used 2 rucks the last time I saw them. I haven't seen their lineup, so I guess Jackson gives us more flexability.
  6. And not playing all that well. I'm sure they will get him playing with attitude. And doing team things.
  7. Again, Weide is rucking at lower level, and Brown is a high half-forward, not so much a contested mark against the big fellas. Maybe a contested mark against midfielders.? So I think we are playing small, because most opponents are playing small. I don't think, I would play OMac this week if only Lynch and Riewoldt are the tall forwards for the Tigers. I reckon Smith can take Riewoldt, and Lever can cover them off. The Tiges smalls again will need to be kept under a blanket.
  8. Yes, we will. I don't think until the team is ready; and also, his body is bigger, so I reckon they want to encourage him to be a lot more physical now. I suspect this is a lot do with it and also I wouldn't play him until we are in-form.
  9. He's fine to develop this list atmo, and is committed to bringing in new players, including kids, and will play them early, if they warrant it. Whether he's a finishing coach is too far out there, right now. But he was very good in 2018. I don't know of anyone better at doing the development thing and trying out new players, and is doing the right thing by playing some already proficient players off position, so he can continue to build depth and new talents into our team.
  10. Think for a moment, if your playing some players out of position to give others a chance to grow, in a position that suits the newbie with talent. It has to appear like your methods and game style don't work, and would you showoff your ideal game style to others, if you are developing the new boys you might want to be ready for 2021 tilt.? We are playing a plethora of small players, and new players, because of the age of our regulars of past recent seasons, and our aging leaders. It's important to now bring kids into the team while those aging leaders are still around helping. And I'll throw Maxy into that relm, as well. aging. Our admin have done a lot correctly, imv, and have made mistakes as well; but they are learning, and we are the best off-field, since I think the 80's.
  11. I see Gawn and Grundy as different types to one another. I see Grundy as someone who can hold his feet in packs, and can jump into them as well ... where as i see Gawn as a giraffe who is a bit too leggy to push off players, or work a way into a pack, doesn't bustle well, etc. So struggle with rucks who lean on hm. I love Maxy as a Melbourne player, and I like Grundy and wanted us to try to draft him in his year. He was one who got my attention for sure from video footage.
  12. The same Lyon that was sacked from the Saints, and left them with no list to speak of, other than aging Riewoldt and Montana. The same coach who was sacked by Freo after suck lofty achievements and development of players.??? And Clarko, who is a magician with club lists, and has them up and going on one legged plodders. These same coaches; who would start again, changing everything, taking us back 3 or 4 years.
  13. Also he struggles to burst thru/into packs, to get to drop of ball. We lack pack busters, because we always seem to like the look of more athlete types. And often recruit this way
  14. Yes of course, but you have to try them, before it's proven one way or the other. And not just one game. We could always rest Harmes, to gain a spot to play Petracca, and also others kids at sometime this year. But Defence atmo, is in transition again, as Jetta and Hibbo are near the end. as is Jones at HF. Also our midfield is currently (inside) one dimensional. lacks real class. so we need to find some, which may or may not be on our list. Chandlers goal on video this week shows some real mental ability, to weave thru traffic with composure, and finish with a goal. That showed real class potential. I'd really like to see him (inside) at some stage.
  15. I did last night, but i was deeply tired.
  16. I like to have a bit of fun while also talking seriously. I am all for the club instilling more disciplines now, and onward; We have better depth and most skill areas covered with reasonable talent. So making players work for better levels and expectations, it's about time we were in a place like this, to instill better habits.
  17. If your interested in tv operators. Caro sometimes does try to be dominant as well. I just find the format so upsetting and stressful now. It's almost just a propaganda machine these days.
  18. This season is showing layers won't lay, unless they do the team thing, first, second, and foremost.
  19. I got home latish last night after a sleep study. Soon after, footy classified started. After about ten minutes I had to turn it off, as eddie just kept talking loudly over everyone, and particularly Carro. Trying to control what was being said and the agenda. Trump like. What a rubbish show. fair-dinkum. retire edd, give it away.
  20. Habits can be hard to break, when they have been getting away with them for some time. = culture. Small forwardline, have to, because we haven't developed any smalls for some time; so we need to develop a few at once now, to get them up and going. When the smalls start to click and work hard for one another, that will be the prime-time to bring Weide back in. Into a hard working forward-line. Hopefully not before, or he will be crucified again.
  21. They spread wide very well when they won the ball back. Right to boundary line, teasing out our players. We don't spread as well, and up forward we are compact at the hotspot, instead of spread wide, so they're defenders worked in support of one another. And they beat us.
  22. Here it is. This is our club problem. We wish to look good, and first touch to the ball at the bounce, looks good. Sometimes we think, 'we-win' if we have the taller ruck because he's bigger. small mercies hey. The teams that win big games in finals, mostly have aggressive rucks who nullify opposing rucks; & they crash packs, and take important marks. That's all that's required, apart from the intimidation/hurt factor.
